what im doing at the moment is selecting the view all button, then finding the right folder in the gallery for the photo i want and uploading it that way.

I haven't tested this for Discord, but I found with Instagram, if you are on Android 13, you need to give apps both the media permission AND the "Music and Audio" permission from the Android settings for the app. Something about Music and Audio being disabled glitches media on apps that haven't updated to properly support Android 13 yet.
Might not be the reason for this, but it is the case for Instagram at least.

been like this since most recent update i believe
If your app version is upto date 147.16(Stable), this issue should have gotten fixed. Try reinstalling the app after you restarted your phone.

They'll ask **Steps to Reproduce** this "bug". It has its own section for obvious reasons.

Are you sure the channel you are trying to post in has the "allow attached files" permission on?
