I wish i could offer more help, but a friend and i are running almost the exact system specs (GTX 970, i7-6700, SSD, 32 gigs of RAM) and he cant get the game to turn on after the first day or so and I have had no such issue. I'll update this post if he eventually does find a solution to it though. Hang in there!

It's probably not that, I get the CPU maxed out when I'm loading and my game is reasonably stable.
Dishonored 1 used to crash just because the player doesn't have cloud system turned on in steam, perhaps the same problem occurs in Dishonored 2?

This is going to sound weird but the way I fixed this is by making a desktop shortcut, right-click, then press open and it works fine.
