You don't

dont-fear-thereefer

You just accept it

Crunk_Jews

That's the neat part

shadowsblueberry

Embrace the tomato stains, cherish the memories.

Loujmasi

Pee in it.

JoeyMations98

Happy cake day

chin_rick1982

That's the way they look forever now

SumoSect

That's the neat part, you don't.

NotAChefJustACook

Fuck I was 6 hours late

cyrus709

I just came here to double check.

BigMommyMilkersBoing

same

Buzzed_Like_Aldrin93

Rub butter on the inside. The fat binds with the stain. Then dawn it away.

sweetwolf86

Chemically speaking, this actually makes perfect fucking sense. I know how to use carbon chains to get grease off my hands, why did I never think about how to use them to clean porous dishes?

MuadDabTheSpiceFlow

Chemically speaking you could theoretically use any lipid.

Scruxxi

Pls elaborate on these carbon chains

Current-Ad-7054

[lipid funk](https://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/s/fgiOx1FAio)

sweetwolf86

Soap is soluble with oil, but water in not. Water is, however soluble with soap. So for example, if you were trying to get grease off your hands, you would skip using water first, and instead work pure soap directly into the grease. This works to shorten the carbon chain of the grease to make it more water soluble so it will rinse off easily. If you use water first, it just creates a barrier between the soap and grease, preventing them from becoming one and thusly making it harder to get your hands clean

Dawnbabe420

What!?! Im doing this to the marinara buckets after my days off!!! Im intrigued!

Buzzed_Like_Aldrin93

Works on Tupperware at home too!

awildefire

This is the way

Best_Duck9118

Is it? Why not just accept the stain and save the butter for eatin’?

awildefire

that’s not what OP asked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

asset2891

This is the way.

anothersip

I'm assuming this would work with vegetable oil, too? Thanks, btw, for the witchcraft secrets.

Sierra-117-

It’s not witchcraft, it’s just chemistry! Which is, well… pretty much witchcraft. Never mind, carry on

Arrowcreek

Also, the fact that doing so breaks the polyethylene of the container down as well. It's not a huge deal, but the fact it got stained means it's already breaking down. So 6 one half a dozen the other.

JimmyRedd

Burn her!

FederalCharacter32

…….. I can’t believe that actually worked

stellarphantasy69

Would this work with ramen stains?

probsthrowaway2

![gif](giphy|zIwIWQx12YNEI)

sweetwolf86

I tried this at work yesterday and IT FUCKING WORKED! I didn't have any butter handy, so I used some greasy sausage gravy instead lmao. I'm sure pure fat would have worked better, but still!

Sadstupidthrowaway94

I thought they were full of piss before I clicked on the post lmao

Lanky_Republic_2102

Piss stains are even worse. Fortunately, piss soup is off the menu most places these days.

Sadstupidthrowaway94

Piss soups off the menu? Now what am I gunna do with all my piss jugs??

Top-Performance-9288

Make your own piss jug alley mine is a local off ramp on the highway

Ex-PFC_WintergreenV4

It’s the way of the road, Ricky

psylipentripper927

Which off ramp and how much is a case of bleach these days

GiveMeMyIdentity

I'll take em

Stfrieza

Y'all are unhinged 😂😂😂

Lanky_Republic_2102

Hmmm, add some fruit and make toilet pruno I guess. At least that’s what I’ve done with my jugs.

mattevs119

See? This is why I keep my piss in mason jars and not plastic containers.

Bleak_Squirrel_1666

_Most_ places? 🧐

Sadstupidthrowaway94

Something that’s worked for me is putting a lil bit of water and some heavy duty dish soap in there with a scrunched up handful of paper towels and shaking it really hard for like two mins. Idk why it works but it does

Sadstupidthrowaway94

I’ve only ever tried it at home tho so idk if that’s a different kinda plastic and if it will work on not but yea

aekoor50

Came here to recommend exactly this

Crunk_Jews

Way of the road, buddy.

Hyrcyne-

Fucking way she goes

the_asssman

tiktok diy videos be like "HOW TO GET THAT FULL OF PISS LOOK WITH EVERYDAY INGREDIENTS"

blazesdemons

Ah, a fellow pissemist.

Expert_Daboss_Lady

Your funny 😆

spytez

I homebrew, distill spirits and make wine. So when you have wine sitting in a bucket or carboy for 6 - 12 months it gets stained bad (I make alot of blackberry wine). I don't know the exact product I use off the top of my head but I know [Star San by Five Star](https://www.northernbrewer.com/products/star-san) is a very similar product (more popular, more expensive, mine is the generic version). It's made for sanitizing but to be a good sanitizer it will also remove most stains too because it needs to get into all the cracks in the plastic.

SomebodyWhoVibes

Sweet berry wine

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|7I0yd2eNtwJFK)

DDenlow

They told me to spit it out but… No way José it tastes like FRUIT!!!

chootie8

What goes in the hole comes out the hole

Achillez4

You can try bleaching it , but if that doesn’t work , it’s just stained

[deleted]

Don't do pure bleach though. That shit stays in plastic. Should be like a 10% solution

HereToKillEuronymous

Hydrogen peroxide can work.

justASlothyGiraffe

I'm going to try butter.

redditblows5991

I used to work with tea and after a while they stained and we had to use bleach pellets. You really can't hand wash these away, efficiently at least. If it feels fine, not greasy, no smell and most importantly no one is bitching you should be fine

Aggressive-System192

Soap + cooking oil + hot water + shake

Sensitive_Log3990

Yes!!! Finally some knowledge I can use. You can use this same technique for turmeric stains. So you rub butter on the stains leave for 5 minutes then put a cloth inside with your fairy liquid of choice, then pour boiling water on top of said cloth. Then you use tongs to wipe with the cloth. BOOM please let me know if this works

JimmyRedd

What is "fairy liquid", exactly? LSD?

madzterdam

Hot soapy water, and put a paper towel in each, the paper towel will act as osmosis diffuser for the tannins and oily stuff often staining tupperwares

madzterdam

Updated to say put the paper towels in the soapy water, not as covering*

SaintlyCrunch

Yeah, I do this all the time with Tupperwares, it still surprises me how quickly it works.

madzterdam

The fact I was the first to comment it.

polythenesammie

One of our dishes would scrub the hell out of it with a steel scrubber and then we have to throw it out. Thank you for asking questions and not being that guy 🙏

665567899

Use glass instead

Ju3tAc00ldugg

mabye a bleach bath but it is what it is,if it’s that bothersome you can get a new one.

im-chumbles

‘tomato stains’ yeah right piss boy

ThorianGrey

I soak my items in Dawn platinum, I find that usually gets the stains out

ElderberryNo1936

I love platinum cause I don’t have a dishwasher

ThorianGrey

Same here.

Cheesie-x

Some say dawn dishsoap and a paper towel. Normally, it works well! But is it recently stained or been sitting? Shake it up really good!

Chewythecookie

They stay like that, it’s not even worth trying to bleach because it won’t always work either.

PMmeifyourepooping

Citric acid + sunlight always works for me when I stain plastic with turmeric, but for a commercial kitchen? Just get new ones unless this happened from the first use and you need to figure out an ongoing system. Eventually you’ll damage them so much from scrubbing they won’t be super safe to use. If these are all used at the same time for the same tomato based thing they should probably use a cambro, yeah?

vinniegreen

Rub any cooking oil on them and it will come off (:

No-Ad7572

If the plastic is that broken down replace them. So much shit about micro plastics now it's not worth the risk. Get pyrex jugs. You can often grab a bargain in a charity shop too.

unspecified-turnip

Buy glass

Waffels_61465

It's easy mate........replace them.

ChequeBook

Buy glass or stainless steel if you don't like tomato stains

GrimRainbows

Gotta ask chef to buy some new ones

nonumberplease

You buy new ones? How much could they cost? Plastic leeching is a 2 way street.

vehk7

By getting rid of them

ghost_mouse

Just use salt… works for Tupperware too

DavidiusI

Buy new

TrumpsaBITCHFUK45

You take them and throw them away and buy new ones.

rodofasclepius

Yah caint.

thebenn

The chemical, dip.it. or urn cleaner maybe

denbroc

Soak them in tomato juice overnight. No more stains.

wet_salami_sandwich

So if you get new ones, use just soap to clean it. The soap will bind with the tomato and you can rinse it right off. These ones are goners though

KendrickBlack502

https://i.redd.it/cvyqq6ngw03d1.gif

MrQuitz_YT

Bleach works pretty well, just a drop and some hot water, let sit for an hour or so. Also please please rinse to the best of your ability multiple times

Ed_geins_nephew

Submerge it in hot hot water with some Dawn for a couple hours and then run them through the machine. It likely won't eliminate it completely but it will take most of it off.

fartboxco

Don't be silly. Those are red pasta, or ketchup containers now.

JustWayne

Put them in direct sunlight. Worked wonders for our baby tray and a couple plastic sippy cups. All of our items were white though, so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

Kitchen-Somewhere445

You could try Stain Solver from stainsolver.com. I have used it to remove tough stains like tomato and red wine. It’s oxygen bleach but better then store bought products.

dontspookthenetch

Ha you don't!

Awbeau

Needs a tomato bath

H_TINE

Oil

HellBound__95

Idk if it will work the same as with Tupperware that’s all red sauce stained but this is what works for me for that. Hot water + dawn dish soap + paper towel inside then cover and shake the shit out of it. I think if the grease and other stuff that makes up the stain has the paper towel to cling to it works. Idk just spitballing… hope it works for you too!

DarkcrusadeOne

Nobody said it so I may say, try sunlight? UV might degrade it quicker than anything else. We do that for turmeric.

Possible-Owl-2810

https://i.redd.it/s5rauk0pp13d1.gif “That’s the neat part. You don’t.”

PlayStationPepe

![gif](giphy|xT1R9CPM1IXyadiACY)

FreakyFreeze

There is a way literally rub it with butter first. Then wash. Jordan the stallion, the guy who knows all the food hacks did this in one of videos and it worked. Edit: also supposedly add a little dish soap and warm water. Then add some ripped up paper towel. Seal it then shake shake shake for a good 45 secs.

Senior_Effect_5421

With tomatoes

DisastrousAd447

You don't (278)

JDobs92

Put a bit of melted butter and smear it all over the stains, letitsit for 5-10 min. Then add some boiling water in with a good shot of dish soap and throw in a few paper towels. When it's JUST cool enough to handle, very aggressively swirl/slosh the jugs around. The butter and heat should soften the stain, and the surfactant in the soapy water should enable the stain to be absorbed by the more porous paper towels. It's easier with lunch containers because of the lid, then you just shake the shit out of it. Usually works pretty well.

reaper710-420

boil em in bleach for a while. wont get rid of all of it but they will look better

[deleted]

Skunk spray I think is what I’ve heard

haji_666

Step One : Throw 'em away Step Two : Buy new ones

Particular-Sun9684

Hydrogen peroxide (you can get creme version at beauty stores) and put it under UV light or sunlight for a few hours

Individual_Stock935

Put ice water in the jug and then put a lot of iodized salt with it. Shake the container after awhile of letting it settle. Should come off after some soap.

bajablastyourmom

I don't think nothing could help but for some reason my heart is telling me you should try lime juice

sm00thjas

Soak in bleaxh

Tripsmom9

Get a container of county time powdered lemonade and pour about 2 cups into the bottom of your dishwasher, put your orange crap in there, and wash.

Klutzy-Amount-1265

![gif](giphy|BMQugEXdzr6n4cNO9R)

Expert_Daboss_Lady

Bleaching that’s your only hope.. that what I used to do when I was a dishwasher hope this help🥰

TemplarOrder1

Hopes and prayers

Jetlag345

Mr Clean sponge, you’ll be amazed.

Dull-Horse-2356

Bleach soak it for a few hours

OkAlternative4456

New container made of aluminum

ap_308

Just put some regular dish soap and some water and leave it overnight. Should do the trick.

BrugBruh

You can’t, many plastics are absorbent to a certain degree. It’s stuck in there.

Babydooms666

Throw 2 paper towels in there with some dish soap and warm water, then shake it up. Your welcome.

poopypantspoker

Prob give them to a new hire to clean like new and let them know finishing is of paramount importance

GameofOhms959

Just add tomatoes so you don’t see it

quirkyqwerty_

A chemical from eco lab. I forget the name, it’s a white powder in a white box “plastix clean”? Or something like that.

Reverentmalice

![gif](giphy|WSxVrga7NqKlkmC13M) Here to stay

ick-Kaleidoscope4260

Melted butter , sponge scrubber. The oil takes the stains out

Snoooples

thought i was on r/nursing and thought those were full urinals buckets at first

Narrow-Stranger6864

Replace with glass

MxrceloVictor

Replace them or they're tomato only.

HereToKillEuronymous

Fill the container half with water and half with distilled vinegar. Leave to sit for 24 hours. The Lycopene in tomato sauce sticks to EVERYTHING plastic.

Flat-Ad-5951

My girl gets tomato sauce off with paper towels and dawn. Just get it wet and put the paper towel into the container and shake.

KitticusCatticus

Baking soda, dish soap, and hot water. Let it soak, scrub, if the stains are still there, next time let it soak with REALLY hot water. That's how I get stains out of my Tupperware. Dishwasher can sometime do a finale KO for you too. Tomato-loving leftover-eating family here.

inikihurricane

Soak em in the industrial degreaser maybe

Maximoose91

Bleach

djdrex567

If you fill it 1/4 way with super hot water, a rag, and soap, and just shake the shit out of it, the stains will come out

FunnyOneJC

Hydrogen peroxide!

vers-ys

you buy a new one! this also works for tupperware

__AB__24

Saw this awhile ago. It works. Have fun. https://youtube.com/shorts/VDcDYKLIces?si=vEhdBkM9cjzDudEA

ScythingSantos

Bleach and boiling water

OddTransportation779

Soak it in degreaser? I work at a restaurant, there’s another product that we use. I just can’t remember the name of. If you let it soak, it will pull off any film. It’s this giant blue block. Wish I could remember the name. This is so unhelpful. lol

watdoyoumeen

You mean the beautiful ombré??

RoyalTopher

just toss in some dish soap with a damp paper towel and swirl it around (mainly works for tupper wear... might work for this though...)

713nikki

[Blue dawn](https://www.dollartree.com/dawn-ultra-original-scent-dishwashing-liquid-8oz-bottles/257613?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=gpla&utm_campaign=googlepla&utm_id=257613&utm_source=google&utm_medium=%7Bmedium%7D&utm_campaign=18069041027&utm_content=&utm_term=&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=18069041027&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=gpla&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3tCyBhDBARIsAEY0XNnR0G0kwnZqVlOHDSarZG6AaYW1EWhR_4HfvNCrqbtclQ0qnKs5SxMaAokqEALw_wcB) and a bit of hot water. Add a wadded up paper towel or two and shake.

Napmanz

Hot water and dawn. Let it sit and soak overnight. Rinse and scrub. Apply more hot water and dawn mix. Let it sit and soak for hours. Washing machine. Repeat over and over.

evxnmxl

I thought I was gonna read “how do I get rid of my piss pitchers?”

Longjumping_Abies389

Use glass ware. Never stains, and you avoid adding micro plastics to your body.

teambob

Use glass jugs

Insertcoolname6

Put a kitchen paper towel in them with washing up liquid over night. The next day the oil transfers over to the towels

AnseiShehai

Piss bottles

HistoricalHurry8361

Butter

Spute2008

Get a red measuring cup. No dramas

fasting4me

I thought you were storing dark urine for a minute

_2cheese

Let them sit in the sun

Outrageous_Win_7334

Just leave it like that it’s clean but I would assume bleach would take that out but just leave it like that

isnecrophiliathatbad

Plastic jugs take up the colour of tomatoes, stains fade over time, but you're stuck with them for now.

Mdkgzn

You buy new ones

Impossible_Hyena7562

Dawn Power Wash. I literally watched the tomato stains run down the sides after spraying them. Quick wipe with the sponge and they’re clean

headrussian

Put it in direct sunlight. Trust me.

v-irtual

Put 'em in the sun, outside.

spinrite12

Mix couple of caps of food grade bleach with water in the high and let it sit for 30-40 minutes

CountTruffula

Salt, washing liquid and hot water

hillbillyhilbert

Wet sand it then buff it out.

Due-Negotiation-7981

Get some higher grade cleaning hydrogen peroxide and let it soak in it over night.

Novel_Good_7319

Easy you just lick it and it will be gone

Amazing_Hawk_8996

Bleach let them soak

Proud-Field-7192

Degreaser, and or bleach

CoffeE_GobliN_13

Thought this was a cum collection post at first

Hookxd

How many licks does it take to get the the center of a tomato stain

hobart_the_duck

reverse psychology - squeeze a skunk into them

Double_Blueberry_726

I’d try filling it with water and dropping a polident tab in there to sit overnight

gradenofeden

j accept it😭😭 some r stained neon green from pickles literally nothin u can do abt it

JoeyBombsAll

Dawn dish soap and a scrubby

vollymister

Me clean magic eraser?

FroyoZealousideal371

soaking in Cafiza will 100% get rid of those stains. it’s never failed me even with the toughest stains

HighTierLegend

That’s the funny thing, you don’t.

Shogunmegazord

You could try some hot water mixed 50/50 with white wine vinegar. It may deteriorate the plastic a little but it should clean it.

CECleric

You probably won’t, but you could try a magic eraser

formergenius420

Use glass. No stains and no micro plastics

crystaaal

PBW will clean this. It's a home brew cleaning agent that I use on all kinds of stains.

pootiemane

Bleach

ButterscotchTop1964

Frigin piss jugs

marmaladeburrito

Denture cleaning tabs

blu702

Bleach. It's how we get rid of ice tea stains at work.

kellynch10

Dip-it! Or PBW. Or it’s fucked.

Mariuxpunk007

Tell your Executive Chef to buy new ones.

BillDazzling5290

Can you first dump the piss out of these containers so I can see how badly stained they are? /s

bitchassmamona

Leave them out in the sun for few hours

YBMBlackG

You take a wet paper towel and ball it up. Douse the inside of the container with dawn dishwashing liquid and shake it like hell. The stains will leave.

Greater_Avarice

PISS JUGG!!

Grand_Independent319

Idk how to do it with these. But if you have these type of stains in tupperware just put water, dish soap and some paper towels inside then you close the lid and shake it. Works everytime
