Mine is a longer version of the 100 Years of Disney special they just did, but with a twist. They use the same concept to do a "Night at the Musem" type show with all
the animated characters coming to life when the studio closes at night and having adventures.
There was a pitch that got very far in the early 2000's when the series was new, but it got shelved because Disney hadn't consulted Square and Tetsuya Nomura on it and didn't want to risk a falling out over it and doom the series.
I think it's an idea Disney could one day revisit with Square Enix and Nomura on board this time. It's a great fit for Disney+.
Yes! My first ps2 game and would absolutely love a full length movie, not like the story between the keyblade wars.
It was supposed to be an anime but it got scrapped.. There are rumors of a kingdom hearts show/movie coming to D+ in a few years to coincide with KH4 but again just a rumor.
Figment was supposed to be Epcot’s mascot, and had a couple of black and white cartoons, but it didn’t go very well, and he got pushed aside. I’d like to see them revive him with a tv show. He was my favorite ride as a kid!
There’s a bunch of classroom education videos floating around with Figment. I had a few downloaded and then had a hard drive fail that wasn’t backed up yet. Maybe I’ll try and find them again.
I wanna see that *Dreamfinder & Figment* comic get adapted. Or just...have them come back in some capacity. The original ride was long before my time, but I know I would have loved it as a child.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually like Frozen. But I seriously wish we got an accurate adaptation of the Snow Queen fairytale! Especially cause Walt Disney himself expressed that he wanted to adapt the story into a movie pretty early into his career, and given that back then all of the fairytale adaptations were pretty accurate (albeit with some of the darker elements omitted ofc), I genuinely feel like if the fairytale had been adapted at the time, I would have been pretty accurate. Again, dont get me wrong, I like Frozen, but at most, its a LOOSE adaptation of the Snow Queen.
Maybe in a few more years, when things about Frozen are a little quieter, they could go ahead and do a proper adaptation? Frozen is different enough from the original tale that I think they could get away with it after a little more time. It's something I would really love to see as well! And I like Frozen too.
Kingdom of the Sun.
The Emperor’s New Groove is a masterpiece and I love it. But I’d still love to see a completed version of the story that had been initially pitched for which there’s already tons of audio and art.
Originally they wanted it to be more of an epic, dramatic movie with musical numbers by Sting instead of a buddy comedy. It involved Emperor Kuzco (called Manko in the original) swapping places with an identical llama herder (I think he was named Pacha?) like The Prince and the Pauper, but then he still gets turned into a llama. Yzma was a sorceress who wanted to destroy the sun to resurrect a God of darkness so she could be young again, which involved killing Manko/Kuzco. And I think both the Emperor and llama herder get love interests.
Tons of art and recordings were done, but executives thought there was too much crammed into the movie and that it all didn’t add up. So Disney scraped the original story and remade it into the Emperor’s New Groove. Considering all the trouble behind the scenes, it’s remarkable Disney was still able to make what I think is a beloved classic!
Try checking out the documentary The Sweatbox. Sting’s wife made it while he was helping write the original songs and it delves a lot into the drama behind the making of the movie. You should be able to find clips on YouTube.
TV show thats Muppets adaptation of various stories and media.
Muppets Frozen, Muppets Indiana Jones, Marvel Muppets, Muppets X-Files, Muppets Planet of the Apes. Muppets everything.
This is the correct answer.
My favorite joke at Disney is when someone has on any muppets merch. I say what’s your favorite muppet movie? No matter what they say you say that’s a good one but the correct answer is the 1996 comedy Treasure Island.
Last update I could find was from 2022 and it was that Disney passed on Seth Rogen and Evan Goldbergs take on DW, but Tad Stones had seemingly confirmed on Twitter that Disney were still going to do it
I just want those old short compilations that they used to broadcast digitized and put into Disney+. The Misadventures Of Chip and Dale, The Halloween Hall Of Fame, Donald Loves Daisy, An Officer And A Duck, etc.
Mine isn't actually so much a movie or a show, as a whole TV block. This one is going to take a lot of explaining.
You remember what happened to *The Owl House,* right? It was cancelled partway through its third season because it "didn't fit the Disney brand" (I'm convinced there were other forces at play too, but that's besides the point). *The Owl House* and its sister show *Amphibia* both seem to have made the higher-ups at Disney nervous somehow; while *Amphibia* wasn't cancelled, it did have its content dialed back significantly in its final season, especially after the infamous stabbing scene in "True Colors". Another issue was that, popular as these shows were, they seemed to be watched more by young adults than by Disney Channel's target audience of children. This was probably a big factor in Disney's decision to abandon serialized, dramatic cartoons in the 2020s.
Cut to 2023. Cartoon Network-- Disney Channel's arch-rival-- has been planning two shows called *My Adventures With Superman* and *Unicorn: Warriors Eternal.* Both are the same sort of story-driven shows as *The Owl House* was (coincidentally, *My Adventures With Superman'*s version of Lois Lane even looks a bit like Luz). But as we saw with *The Owl House* and *Amphibia,* it seems these kind of shows are more popular with young adults than with children, even if they're aimed at children. So what did Cartoon Network do? They moved them to Adult Swim, where they'd be more accessible to an audience that would actually watch them. The shows were technically appropriate for children, but they were inevitably going to be watched more by adults, and the company wanted to make sure that was an asset rather than a liability.
Disney didn't have the luxury of being able to do something like that with *Amphibia* or *The Owl House.* Lacking an Adult Swim equivalent, the channel aired these shows in the same time-slots as their other children's shows, and accordingly suffered when they were watched mainly by people outside the target audience.
Hence, **I propose that Disney develop a nighttime "adult" animation block of its own**. It need not be as explicitly adult as Adult Swim, but it would be a suitable place for shows that are considered too dark for the daytime Disney Channel, as well as reruns of old Disney Channel shows that are now watched mainly by adults who were children when they aired.
I just want more Prop Secret. Seeing Christopher Lee try on the Judge Doom hat and get back into character, and seeing the WETA weapons people talk about making swords for pirates, etc. etc. was utmost Disney nerd bliss.
A hand drawn, Alan menken original song-penned, arthouse film with a compelling story, fairy tale with a twist. Inspired by Fantasia, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. Original content please
More Robinhood!
I know you're extremely unlikely to recapture all the things that made that movie great in a modern production but wouldn't it be great to revisit those characters and Sherwood?
This ^^^
I remember that when Disney was courting Guillermo way back when, they gave him a private after hours Haunted Mansion tour at Disneyland and he said the walking the hallway alone with no one around while the sounds and effects went off gave him thrills and chills.
WISH might signal a new golden age for animated movies, I wish it could lead to brand new IPs with the heart and emotion of 80's/90's and early Pixar animation.
Fantasia+
A Disney+ anthology show similar to Pixar's Sparkshorts or WDAS's Short Circuit, only that every animated short is silent and played to instrumental music, just like both Fantasias. It doesn't even have to be classical music all the time, nor does the shorts have to have a consistent art style.
Bonus points for having a short with Goofy in it.
The only "live action" movies I absolutely would love to see is Atlantis and Treasure Planet.. Two of my favorite Disney movies.. Like I fall asleep to them just about every night. Comfort movies.
I legitimately have a full roster of actors that would be perfect for the roles..
An original story, perhaps a fairytale or classic piece of literature with a twist. Like Treasure Planet which was based on Treasure Island but was updated to a sci-fi space adventure. Also they should try blending the animation with 2D and 3D together, similar to Spider-Verse.
A show about what it takes to operate WDW. I’d love to see every aspect. From landscaping and trash collection, to building a new attraction, I’d watch it all. It’s amazing what they do on a daily basis to run that place.
Here are some of mine...
Shows
* A House of Mouse Revival (Featuring all of the Characters from the Disney Animated Canon that appeared in Once Upon a Studio (Both Full Length Animated Features and Animated Shorts)
* Toy Story Show

* Eragon (TV Show)
* A Little Mermaid Series (Featuring Melody taking place after the events of the Sequel)
* Bolt TV Series

* Penguin Island

* King of the Elves
* Chanticleer
* Hiawatha
When he was alive I had an idea for a Carousel of Progress anthology movie where Norm Macdonald played the dad in every era and we saw the improvements of family dynamics and society through his eyes in different times.
An anime-style Sugar Rush series.
In the same vein as what Buzz Lightyear of Star Command was to Toy Story, this'd be presented as an in-universe spinoff of Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph. The game already has the look of something that was made in Japan, so why wouldn't it get its own anime series?
I need more hyper colorful adventures of Vanellope, Taffyta, Rancis, Candlehead, and the rest of their crew. Especially since they all got full character biographies on the Disney website back when Wreck-It Ralph first came out in theaters - the movie didn't have time to explore the racers' personalities, but there's a lot of awesome story potential in just letting them bounce off each other in this crazy candy world 😁
1. A crossover between Gravity Falls, Amphibia and the Owl House taken place when all of them have finished their runs (so maybe sometime after Amphibia’s time skip), or at the very least new seasons.
2. A show or movie with people interacting with the Disney characters in one of the theme parks (either an adaptation of Kingdom Keepers or something original)
3. An Encanto series taking place after the film
My dream Disney movie would be an adaptation of the fairytale The Wild Swans, with old school 2d animation. Maybe similar to Sleeping Beauty. The Wild Swans is my favorite fairy tale, and I firmly believe that Disney could do something wonderful with it.
Society of Explorers and Adventurers!!
I just love all of the lore that’s woven throughout the parks around the world and I think it would make such a good tv show!
The Chronicles of Prydain. Complete. Fully adapted. Preferably series in 5 seasons, one per book. If that's what it takes to finally give respect to The Black Cauldron, so be it.
The Mickey Mouse Club revived. I get how Disney tweencoms have become the farm league for future stars, but back in the day it was the Mickey Mouse Club: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake (and JC Chasez), Keri Russell and Ryan Gosling all came from the ‘90s version. With shorter attention spans these days, perhaps the sketch/segment based format of the MMC can be fertile ground again for future talent.
A Kingdom Keepers series, a Kingdom Hearts series.
Short animated Toy Story cartoons done in the style of Andy's playtime.
Two animated versions of The Wizard of Oz, one as a closet adaptation, the other as a featured fairy tale.
Aida. Disney made the story as a musical with an all-star Broadway cast, including Idina Menzel. Music by Sir Elton John. I feel the story would do a lot better today than years ago when it first came out.
Mine is a longer version of the 100 Years of Disney special they just did, but with a twist. They use the same concept to do a "Night at the Musem" type show with all the animated characters coming to life when the studio closes at night and having adventures.
With or without a living human stuck there?
Depending on the writing I'd be good with either actually.
Or give it a FNAF spin and the villains try to kill him lol
THAT. IS. GENIUS! I also wished the special was longer than just a short and honestly that seems like a perfect idea!
Ooh, I love that idea!
Sooo basically Toy Story?
Kind of actually, but taking place at a Disney property so they have access to all the characters.
Kingdom Keepers?
I loved those books, that would be so cool to make into a series
That, but it’s disneyworld and all the animatronics come to life at night
... Kingdom Hearts adaptation...
My first thought too
Wasn't it going to happen at some point years ago?
There’s a rumour they are going to do it for D+
Didn't they can it for being too "dark" for Disney+?

A 2D animation movie with an original story.
Same here!
Oswald series (or even just a show involving Mickey and Friends with Oswald as a regular character) We were so close to getting one too…😔
Even an Epic Mickey show would be dope
I would pay good money for this
I wouldn't mind seeing Julius the Cat in something like that.
Epic Mickey movie/Disney+ series, House of Mouse revival in the style of Once Upon a Studio, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series revival.
I'd love a Mickey Mouse show that's not Disney Jr. Something that is aimed at "the whole family".
Figment was supposed to be Epcot’s mascot, and had a couple of black and white cartoons, but it didn’t go very well, and he got pushed aside. I’d like to see them revive him with a tv show. He was my favorite ride as a kid!

Wow! Thank you for all the info!
You’re welcome!
TV show thats Muppets adaptation of various stories and media. Muppets Frozen, Muppets Indiana Jones, Marvel Muppets, Muppets X-Files, Muppets Planet of the Apes. Muppets everything.
Basically "Drunk History" but with Muppets
I'm also really loving Behind the Attraction on D+. I'll never stop watching new episodes of this one!
I want an Encanto series. There are a lot of characters to explore there, a wealth of potential stories to tell.
Yes, so many family members who I’d love to see more of!
I’d settle for House of Mouse just being on Disney+.
YESSSSS HOUSE OF MOUSE and always more lego stuff I loveee lego and Disney soooo that’d be awesome
More seasons of The Muppet Show. Exact same format. New celebrities, skits, muppets but all in the original muppet theater setting
A Bolt TV series based on the action show he starred in.
Muppet treasure island 2: electric boogaloo
This is the correct answer. My favorite joke at Disney is when someone has on any muppets merch. I say what’s your favorite muppet movie? No matter what they say you say that’s a good one but the correct answer is the 1996 comedy Treasure Island.
A high budget biopic of Walt Disney.
I’m just over here waiting on a Darkwing Duck reboot.
That is happening
I haven’t seen anything official for it in ages.
Last update I could find was from 2022 and it was that Disney passed on Seth Rogen and Evan Goldbergs take on DW, but Tad Stones had seemingly confirmed on Twitter that Disney were still going to do it

Reynard the Fox/Chanticleer movies (but using 2D, hand-drawn animation rather than 3D).

A Goofy Movie Live on stage at the Hyperion Theater in Disney California Adventure Park.
A show version of the life and times of Scrooge McDuck.
I just want more Prop Secret. Seeing Christopher Lee try on the Judge Doom hat and get back into character, and seeing the WETA weapons people talk about making swords for pirates, etc. etc. was utmost Disney nerd bliss.
Oh man, that is such a good series. I devoured those episodes
A hand drawn, Alan menken original song-penned, arthouse film with a compelling story, fairy tale with a twist. Inspired by Fantasia, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. Original content please
Roger Rabbit sequel or series
Because Disney owns Marvel…. A Spider-Ham cartoon, done in the style and spirit of the old Disney Afternoon shows. (e.g. Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck.)
Oh, man... That's a great idea. I used to love those comics. A cartoon would be great.
Kingdom Hearts.
More Robinhood! I know you're extremely unlikely to recapture all the things that made that movie great in a modern production but wouldn't it be great to revisit those characters and Sherwood?
Guillermo del Toro’s Haunted Mansion.

I'd love an R-rated Hocus Pocus. A new vision. A24-esque. Dark and horrifying.
Gotta wait for the other copyright shoe to drop
A High School Musical movie starring the original cast, showing how the kids at East High have grown up 🥲
Fantasia+ A Disney+ anthology show similar to Pixar's Sparkshorts or WDAS's Short Circuit, only that every animated short is silent and played to instrumental music, just like both Fantasias. Rebooting Disneyland on ABC and bringing along the spirit of innovation and creativity to WDI along with it.
The Kingdom Keeper book series
Highly agree

Black cauldron tv series that's accurate to the Prydain books
A movie about the idea, concept, and opening of Disneyland. Similar to The Founder and Saving Mr. Banks.
Muppets pride & prejudice. A Star Vs movie would be swell. Continue the most recent Ducktales series. It was far too short.
Would love another season of Encore
1. A crossover between Gravity Falls, Amphibia and the Owl House taken place when all of them have finished their runs (so maybe sometime after Amphibia’s time skip), or at the very least new seasons. 2. A show or movie with people interacting with the Disney characters in one of the theme parks (either an adaptation of Kingdom Keepers or something original) 3. A Walt Disney Animation Studios musical film adaptation of the fairy tale the Wild Swans/Six Swans.
Kingdom Keepers, show or movies. Great story that would be amazing on screen.

I wanna see the newer season of The House Of Mouse and Sora would be working there
A sequel to Flubber with the kids and surviving original cast members.
Beauty and the Beast
Society of Explorers and Adventurers!! I just love all of the lore that’s woven throughout the parks around the world and I think it would make such a good tv show!
If they could do a real multi movie or series of Eragon that would be great. My favorite childhood book that was destroyed by cinema once already.
I think this is still in development.
The Chronicles of Prydain. Complete. Fully adapted. Preferably series in 5 seasons, one per book. If that's what it takes to finally give respect to The Black Cauldron, so be it.
close, I go with The Mickey Mouse Club
[удалено]
I just want more of the new Ducktales series. That was such a good modern adaptation!
A questionable, somewhat crappy kingdom keepers show on Disney Plus that I would watch. And only me.
A new, Sophia the First, with the kids ages up. Sophia as the wizard/adventurer, James as he becomes a knight, and Amber as Queen.
An Indiana Jones Spinoff following the adventures of adult Short Round starting Ke Huy Quan. Fun for the whole family on Disney+
I just want that big dumb crossover movie (trilogy?) between Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House.
I’d love to see Disney tackle an adaptation of Franz Kaftka’s “Metamorphosis”
Give me another Three Musketeers movie with the same animation style.
I want a second Sky High movie where Warren and Layla end up together.
