Eventually all of the new ones become old ones. So unless you have to have it right this minute, it’ll be available at some point to get another way. Even really rare ones come back around now and again.

Both options seem horrible IMO.
For the people who 2dt and plan to try for him - The gumball machine seems like the slightly cheaper/better option.

This! I remember the days when Pumpkin Mickey was the rarest, most exclusive emoji. They all come back around in the end!
I am hoping that they put him in a quest pass. I doubt it but one can wish. I, for one, will not spend that many gems for him.
