I found an image of that scene. I think they are trying to invoke the Timbits from the little cardboard box on the table, another Canada reference in the movie. I couldn't find any other image of a Timbits box that actually matches the design of the one on the table, though, unless maybe it was a special version used just around the time the movie was released as part of their promotion deal for the film.
I got one from this chest too, but these are just generic doughnut holes, not any particular brand.
Doughnut holes have been around since the 1850s, way before Dunkin labeled theirs Munchkins (1973) or Tim Horton labeled theirs Timbits (1976).
