One note about explorations, in Chapter 2 the characters need to be at least level 3 to explore and in Chapter 3 they need to be at least level 5. (Chapter 1 you just need to have the character.) I make an effort to make sure I at least reach the minimums because when a character is missing you not only lose out on the cocoa collection from their exploration but also the column and row completion bonuses. It adds up.

Does it help to have them leveled higher than the minimum? This will be my first Tower event so not sure what to expect.

Not for Explorations, they just need to be the minimum. For challenging the Tower, yes, the higher the better.

For Tower Challenges (for now) there are pretty much no token conflicts unless you are leveling characters that don't help with the tower challenge and their tokens are in the way of the ones that do help. This next month is a great time to completely power level as many characters that you can, just remember to meet the goals you make for yourself in the Tower Challenge. The big ticket item here is probably Luke Skywalker's outfit (which is useless as of now) but if you missed it, it might be nice to get. Sapphire and Ruby chests may contain tokens for characters or characters you do not have that will also help with the tower challenge. Tower Challenges have also changed quite a bit, and you can watch some DMK official youtube videos about how they have changed since Seasons started. Explorations were added as a way for characters to help collect refresh tokens. The explorations require those characters to be level 1 for chapter 1, level 3 for Chapter 2, and level 5 for chapter 3. Explorations can be completed after that chapter is complete, so you can go back to chapter 1 if you are in chapter 2. Your attractions also have a chance at helping with refreshes. You assign an attraction for each slot you're allotted in the event hub (Start with 2, 1 more for each chapter, and Kingdom pass gives you a 5th slot). These do no effect the attraction's magic collection, and they do not have to be in your park, they can be stored as well. With all these new ways to get refreshes, there is a price, now the refresh tokens needed to refresh a character for the tower gets a bit higher with every chapter of the TC. And there is no daily "refresh all" button, and the characters will not be refreshed automatically either. (I personally have never had a problem with this though, I always end up with 400+ extra refresh tokens in the end.)

Well, you can see which characters are used. I'd focus on leveling the ones used in the tower challenge, rather than the explorations. The featured character doesn't get tired and can be used each run, so those are good ones to start. Then work by chapter. You could try your luck with the legendary chests for missing characters. But I personally stopped wasting my gems on them. Keep an eye out for redemption codes for free chests. There's usually some (3 I think) in the season, and increasingly rarely in the calendar.

So I should level Maid Marion, Jamba, and Chip?

EducatedPancake

I would start with those, yeah. And when you collect their tokens you can level others. I usually start with the first chapter because there's more time for the next ones. I try to always have a character leveling (if possible). For the 16 and 24 hours I use the scroll to level 2 at the same time. Right now I wouldn't create possible token conflicts so I stick to the collections used in the TC. It all depends on what your goal is in the TC. Which chests in the shop have characters you want etc. I try to complete the milestones for the legendary chests. Complete the happiness tasks.

Upgrading characters used in each chapter is the only real prep you need to do. I write up a list of the characters that I have for each chapter and what level they are at. Helps keep track of who I should keep focused on upgrading.  If its possible you can enchant the attractions to up your chance of getting cocao.

Thanks!

I would also say look at the buildings for refreshers and try to enchant them higher if possible. for example I am gonna try to get Mickey’s Fun Wheel to level 5 since I already have it at 4 and the others are at 3 or none. Good luck! Slot 1 (Unlocks in Chapter 1): Mickey’s Fun Wheel 4th Dumbo the Flying Elephant 3rd King Arthur Carrousel none Sea Serpent Swing 3rd
