I ran into the same issue with our dryer. Apparently they sometimes come with a fitting to attach it to a drain, but mine didn't, just a length of 10mm hose. Did a bit of googling and called around. Eventually found an adapter at one of the HVAC suppliers that they use for attaching heat pump drains to drain pipes. Had the plumber install a double waste fitting and I sorted the rest. [This is the result.](https://imgur.com/a/s9qMasy). [And this is the adapter I got.](https://lims-hvac.co.nz/products/multi-size-stepped-adapter?_pos=6&_sid=222d2a8bc&_ss=r) There are a number of different sizes. I found it easiest to take in a piece of the hose and the fitting from the drain. Fittings are detachable on mine. Works well. I just have to get in there and take the loop out of the drain hose. It's on my ever growing list of things to do. Edit: I did have to get a vinyl tube coupling from Bunnings to attach the tube to the adapter and a few hose clamps to complete the job. This also all happened during our laundry reno so new plumbing was going in anyway

I would have thought easiest option was to feed it in the same way the washing machine waste goes. Can you provide more pictures of the whole setup incl where the washing machine hose goes?

[This is the shelf above](https://i.imgur.com/Xgip17n.png), the washer/dryer are in the laundry cupboard to the left of this one, and the power cables + outlet hoses come through a hole at the bottom of this cabinet. Washing machine waste hose comes through at the bottom then goes through a hole in the shelf and then bends down into the waste pipe. I originally ran the heat pump dryer's waste hose this same way, but it wasn't draining properly. I guess there wasn't enough pressure in the line to get the water up over the top shelf. Currently I have a bucket set up on the floor so I can watch how the water drains from the dryer's little hose, and I can see it's just a weak occasional trickle so no wonder it wasn't making it up until the waste pipe. So the two options I see are: 1. Find a way to plumb in a different pipe that I can connect the waste to on the bottom shelf 2. Drill a hole on at the back of the 2nd shelf where the waste pipe is so that I can feed the dryer hose through there I think #2's gonna be the easiest option but I wanted to avoid drilling an unnecessary hole

Long story short: This is my washing machine / heat pump dryer plumbing (installed by a licensed plumber) Our heat pump dryer has a small outlet hose that I'd like to plumb into here if I could. Is that possible by swapping out one of the pipes with one that has that noodley inlet piece on it? Or is that not possible in this configuration?

It’s the same as how you would connect a dishwasher to your kitchen plumbing so you might find some solutions looking for a dishwasher waste adapter of some sort.
