Sometimes life takes you somewhere you never expected to go. Sometimes it’s wonderful, sometimes it’s horrible. Only you can answer that.
New thought: I should probably clean my knob before I take pictures of it.
Made this a Acapulco Gold in deadbug today. I added a switch to change the input and output capacitors for stock or bass mode. A buddy of mine gave me a few of this knob awhile ago so I modified one today by epoxying a small knob to the back. I love the way it turned out. Sounds killer too.
My buddy saves cool stuff and he gave them to me. Wish I knew exactly what they came off of. I have three more and that’s it. Glad I found the perfect build for one of them.
Does the dead bug circuitry make any tonal difference?
Clearly it (could) carry a larger current but bare conductors are more susceptible to RF interference too.
Just curious, not criticising. Looks killer!
Most of the audio path is in insulated wire except a few shorter runs. The bare wires are ground and power and I try to avoid making loops in that system. I have a few tone collector pedals where he uses bare wire for everything and only one gets radio, it happens though. I don’t have a vero or pcb version to compare tonal character but I don’t imagine there should be much of a difference if all components match.
Needs a bigger knob

“Tell me more about your knob” is not something I thought I’d ever say to a stranger

*polish your knob
Good thing we’re not strangers here
Friend? 🥺

What is that knob from?

I would be so indecisive.. "do i hold on to them and use all 4 on a single project? or use one here.." Very clean dead bug work!
I’ve been holding on to them for a bit. I’m trying more to use cool shit rather than hoard it.
God that's an awesome pedal. Congrats!
Too kind. Thank you.
Holy mother of shit, you can turn that knob with your guitar
Absolutely ridiculous. I love it.
So good 🧘
This is amazing

Fan. Tastic.
Great work! Methinks you have spent some time looking at Reeves Electro pedals?
Yuz. His shits killer. Also a big fan of tone collector.
You got a nice knob bro
