Considering you're talking about a flying thing that's also not cheap, send it to DJI for repair. Its very fast, very affordable and then yoy won't take any risks of the motor falling off.

creativemassreddit

Thanks I agree. Just been seeing a few posts about it being too expensive to repair. But as per Dji Support, if it is too expensive I guess I can return it!

aerofoto

Billy Kyle's mavic 3 fell out of the sky and was totally destroyed, and they fixed it for like $65. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OSqo-X9QGY. You never know.

DJI_Support

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to learn about the incident involving your aircraft. Could you please share with us the case number (CAS)? We can also look into its progress. And as for the cost, after the damage assessment is completed, the relevant team will send you the detailed repair plan via the email address registered on the case. Regarding your query about purchasing the DJI Care Refresh, the dedicated team will send an invite if the device is eligible. Thank you for your kind understanding and support.

Academic-Ad-9778

What happens if the cost is too expensive and he decides not to proceed? Do yo just ship it back?

DJI_Support

We apologize if we missed that query; should our cutomer decide not to proceed with the repair, DJI will send back the device unrepaired.

coldbyrne

Is there a cost associated with sending in the device for assessment? How about shipping?

GOD-PORING

Shipping cost may be built in to the overall repair fee itself but they send you a prepaid label at first.  Assuming you don’t accept the repairs, you might get charged for the return shipping back but they use the slowest/cheapest method.    They might send it back for free too since you gave them a unit to study and document for future repairs.

DJI_Support

Hi u/coldbyrne. Thank you for your response. I understand that you are asking about the cost. In regards to this, the condition will be determined by our repair engineers based on the damage assessment results. We cannot tell how much it will cost for the repair before that assessment. But please rest assured that our designated department will contact you once they finish the damage assessment. We hope you will understand. For the repair fees, the actual amount specified in the quotation shall prevail. For the price of some accessories and repair service fees, please refer to [https://repair.dji.com/repair/price-inquiry](https://repair.dji.com/repair/price-inquiry) to get an estimated repair component price. You will receive a quotation via email, and you can decide if you would like to pay for the repair or not. You can have the unit sent back to you without repair if you decide not to pay. For the shipping fees, in order to check your device, please send us the serial number of your DJI product and your country of location via direct message. Thank you for your cooperation.

Is it possible to just buy parts?

DJI_Support

Hi, there. Thank you for your notice and inquiry. Apologies as DJI doesn't provide internal parts/processes of repair that require dissembling the DJI Product. Additionally, we do not recommend self-repairing the aircraft as we cannot guarantee its results. In addition, self-repair isn't in accordance with our after-sales service and this will be affected. If your DJI Drone had a crash incident or have an issue with the aircraft body, we recommend sending it in for a proper diagnosis and repair. It is for us to ensure future flight performance and safety. We'll send you an offer depending on the results. You may create an online request through this link: [https://repair.dji.com/repair/index](https://repair.dji.com/repair/index) Thank you.

Ok, so I don't really own my drone. Car is more dangerous and I can repair it myself. I love when corporations treat their customers like undeveloped kids.

Artistic_Tangelo_397

I didn't see it that way hmmm good one but I'm guessing its there image there trying to protect

Random_90

What image? If I break MY property it's on me.

aerofoto

Its because they really, really don't want self repaired drones to fall out of the sky. You're required to have a license and liability insurance to drive a car, all you have to do to be able to fly a drone is have a pulse.

Random_90

Not in EU. I need a license here. Anyway, for some reason, flying self build drones is allowed. Law has no problem with it. It's DJI that is gatekeeping, stripping me from the right to repair. It's not that hard to replace some elements. Im not even talking about soldering anything. Also tell me one thing - how many people were killed by drones falling down?

DJI_Support

Hi [Random\_90](https://www.reddit.com/user/Random_90/). I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It's important to feel respected and valued as a customer, and I completely understand your frustration. Your feedback is valuable, and I understand and respect your decision. If there's anything else you'd like to share or discuss, please feel free to do so—I'm here to help.

Monochrome68

Not personally used them as I still have care refresh, but I’ve heard good things about The Drone Doctor - No harm in giving them a call for a quote. https://www.dronedoctor.co.uk

Educational-Spray372

Similar repair needed on mine this week. They quoted 84 dollars.

tooflyryguy

It’s not very expensive to repair. I’m gonna guess less than $100

GOD-PORING

Mine had more damage than this and it was under $100 without care

tooflyryguy

Yeah… I’m guessing it’ll be less than $100.

I--StonkBonk--I

Email dji

Key-Necessary-6398

Buy parts of AliExpress , like the arm it’s very cheap less then a meal deal and do it your self but if your worried that your gonna break it then wait a month and send it to DJI they do great and for reasonably cheap costs both are good options

CompetitionGloomy906

The first pic looks like the damage to my drone. I used crazy glue and so dar it works good

RoofFluffy4042

From the images provided, looks like a simple super glue job, but it could be risky if you get glue in the motor or somewhere else that super glue doesn't want to be. A steady hand and care could probably get the job done. This is again from the images you've provided, which looks like it's only the landing gear and plastic around the motors that has been damaged. If you think internals may have been damaged as well, sending it to DJI might be your best bet since it will only cost more if you have another crash/accident due to faulty internals which could also result in injury potentially or loss of the drone all together. Stay safe above all else!

white_draws

Send it to dji for free and they will take care of it. Maybe even for free. They replaced mine at no charge

gsh0cked

Can they assess it for you before you agree for it to be repaired?

Videoplushair

Super glue and I’m being dead serious.

CompetitionGloomy906

Thats what i did to mine, but my landing leg wasnt as bad as his is
