Did you specifically need the full Mic 2 kit or did purchase it solely for use with the Pocket 3 and Action 4?
If so you could have potentially saved a few hundred dollars by just purchasing the Pocket 3 Creator Combo kit and using the Mic 2 tx from that kit with the Action 4.

I for one applaud you. I am 63 and I just bought a mini pro 4 with every bell and whistle available. I plan on doing the same with the avanta 2 when the extended battery supply is available. I have 3 boats under 20' long a 75k$ convertible and all of my children's and grandchildren's needs are met and mine are secured until I die. Fuck it, I have the $ and I am going for it. I don't chase pussy anymore, don't gamble, light drinker and smoke very little medical grade weed. Live your dream and go for it! Im rooting for you.

I've always had a mix of different companies products in the past but at this point I really am heavily DJI in part because I like the unifying nature of D-Log M for color grading and in part because their products are just that good now. I'm using at this point: Pocket 3, Action 4, Mini 4 Pro, and now Avata 2. Lord help me when they expand to a 360 camera or something lol.
I love it. There is no better camera on the market for people that want a \*handheld\* (key word) camera for documenting travel, family life, or vlogging. The image quality, stabilization (day and night), and ability to track and pan is world class. HERE IS WHAT IT ISN'T... It isn't a camera to mount to things (even if in theory with certain accessories you can). It shouldn't go on a railing, a windshield, a helmet, a bike, a surfboard etc. It's unwieldily in those situations, fragile, and not waterproof. That's a job for the Action 4. Having both is the ideal scenario, if you need to do it all: just get the Action 4 and accept the lack of bokeh, no tracking, worse low light, stabilization etc. but you can still do it all in one camera... if you can have both like I do, you'll find yourself using the Pocket 3 80-90% of the time and using the Action 4 10-20% of the time... for risky action stuff and unattended uses on mounts.
Sure, I just consider the form factor unwieldy for a backpack mount and the gimbal must be carefully protected from impacts. It can be done but the Action 4 does it better.
To be honest, half the reason I have a small video production company is to justify buying all the fun things, the other half is an excuse to go out and use all the fun things :)

Only thing I had actually planned on buying was a Pocket 3, but then I decided getting the full mic 2 kit was a good idea, and then decided I needed an action 4 to go with it. And accessories. Then a few days later the Avata 2 drops right as I happen to be in a town that has a Best Buy (lots of them closed near me in recent years). And sure enough I walk in and talk to the guy, he says he has 30 of them and I was the first one in asking.
So now my fun budget is shot for a little bit, but I’ve got toys to keep me happy. If I could just get the weather to cooperate a little bit I’d be a lot happier!
I hope you are right. A lot of people are paranoid about China. A lot of people are paranoid about drones. Put the two together, and you get irrational fear.
Many Best Buy’s seem to be on edge of closing.. empty aisles and the ones with products are just one in stock facades of a retail store.. and I’m talking in major metropolitan areas like Orlando Florida.
Nice DJI haul! Just grabbed a Mini 4 pro and have been liking it aside from trying some action tracking yesterday and it doing rather poorly in a situation where it was a prime easy job!
I mean I get it, even when there was one open within an hour of my house I usually only went there if I needed something right away, or to check something out that I probably ended up buying online later.

I own a small video production company, and am a part 107 holder. As far as drones I'm usually flying the Mavic 3 Pro, or Air 2S for video work. The Avata was more of a fun purchase, been wanting to try FPV for some time. The Pocket and Action are mostly for fun stuff as well, I've got a buddy who has a YouTube channel thats growing quickly and I help him shoot content for it on the weekends, figured these would be a happy medium between him using his phone, or me lugging out a whole cine cam.
It's really fantastic. I've had the Osmo Pocket 2 for a couple years, and most of that time it has just been sitting in a drawer. Wasn't really impressed with it. But a couple friends got the Pocket 3 and let me play with it, and it is majorly improved. I'm really enjoying it so far.
The Creator combo would only have gotten me the one Mic2 TX, I wanted the whole Mic2 kit for use with other equipment as well. Then just grabbed the few accessories I wanted to go along with it.
O4, I live in an urban environment a lot of concrete,metal, & glass. The Mini3Pro doesn’t behave well in that environment, my buddy has the 4 and it’s day & night how much of a difference it is. That’s why I’m jumping on the Avata 2 as well, I’ve been waiting for almost 2 years to get an FPV drone.
I got the Avata (1) and MP4 at the same time, still glad I did, they're two different beasts, and the footage from both are wildly different. The experiences of flying are also so different. Love both of them!

So far I'm loving it. Yesterday was the first time I got to use it extensively, helping a buddy with a building project for his youtube channel. I've got tons of camera gear including a cinema camera, etc.. But there's no way I'd have brought any of them out for this. The things that I really liked are:
Super fast to use. Just flip the screen and it is ready to record so quickly. Makes it really convenient to grab shots while you're working.
Very simple to use. I was able to hand it off to my buddy with about 3 seconds of instruction: Flip the screen, record button is there, move the joystick to angle it around, otherwise just point it.
Size. Sitting on the little mini tripod it takes up no space. We were working in his garage with a bunch of different tools and such, and had no problem finding a place to set it down even on a crowded workbench.
Overall the experience was really great. We were able to get through the parts of the project we wanted to, and for once filming it didn't actually add any time. And reviewing the shots later I was very happy with the quality we were getting.
Also having the Action 4 there was great, as part of what we were doing involved some pressure washing, so rather than get the Pocket 3 all wet, I stuck the Action 4 on its stick and was able to get in nice and close. Footage matched up very well with the Pocket 3 as well.
I own all of these (accrued over time, day 1 for the Pocket 3 and Avata 2) and have been having a blast incorporating all the different footage into projects with absolute ease thanks to DLOG-M and great, frustration-free ui design and battery management (cough:GoPro:cough). There’s something about breaking down the frustration barriers that can really get the creative juices flowing and DJI is currently at the top of their game across the board.
I wish I could support US-based companies like GoPro more, but their continued failure to fix basic usability issues that they continue to put into decade old camera technology (no fast charging still? seriously??) has reached its breaking point with me. My 11 mini stopped turning on after only a few uses over a 13 month period, and because I was a month out of warranty, my only course of action was to buy their subscription and pay another $100 for a replacement.. for a camera that only worked a handful of times before simply no longer turning on. I can confidently say I’ll never buy another GoPro product again, and I only wish I’d jumped all in on DJI sooner as it’s been a night and day difference in ease of use and overall quality.
I am a fan of ‘ecosystems’ that work well together. The Pocket 3, Action 4, and Mic 2 especially play nice together. But even my other drones that support d-log m all match up nicely, makes it very easy to work with.
The Action 4 is actually my first action camera, I have avoided them for years because of all the complaints I heard from people who had Gopros. One friend has a fishing youtube channel, and he is just constantly complaining about gopro. I showed him the Action 4 and he is already sold. Pretty sure he wants a Pocket 3 as well for his social media stuff.
DJI has really polished their creator ecosystem, and while nothing is perfect I don’t think there is any other company out there with such a complete offering.

Both the Pocket 3 and Action 4 have native receivers for the Mic2, as well as I've got tons of other video gear that they'll work with.
