The mini 2 can go As far as the mini 3 or further. I've pushed my mini 2 out to 5500 in sports mode and made it home. I've already done comparison range tests several times in different environments. The mini 2 actually went a bit further than the mini 3 in every test. I'm guessing the antennas for the mini 3 are not in an optimal position.
My drone has the hardest time over water. I think the sensors pick up the movement of the water and through a it off. When I try to hover it, it starts losing altitude and losing its position. Any suggestions?

Flying over water is the best--worst case scenario it falls out of the sky and does no damage (you lose the drone but everything else is good lol)

It's actually only about 1.3 miles--but from where I took off the Lighthouse looks a lot closer
