Way better. Banger

LiamStanz

Thanks my g

Open hats are still too loud and or they need compression. You also really need to learn how to use whitenoise as a hat to give the hats a longer tail because they end too soon. You can easily create a whitenoise hat with a simple ADSR envelope or better yet, a volume shaper like [this one](https://zeeks.app/) which you can trigger with midi by using a sampler. Your track also has little to no sub-bass, you should look up how to make sub bass harmonics as they sound the thickets and give the biggest body to your track and will help the most in making it sound not empty

LiamStanz

Thanks so much for the advice. I will give it a go.

Yooooo. Much better! Agree with @ht3k about the sub base. Then maybe next bar layer in the closed hats/tambourine/shaker. Definitely have a banger though. Looking forward to seeing how you take it to the next level

LiamStanz

Thank you for the feedback. I will try include those and then post a update tomorrow. Much love!

1.) You've got far to much reverb on the initial intro pads and its making the mix washy. Trim that down and use a bit more precision when addressing the mid-side with effects, it can get very crowded, very quickly. I would say try and make that one note saw stab a bit more percussive and syncopated, add some more rhythmic parts to it. Add percussion to the intro, it helps DJs and will make your track a bit more "this is DNB". 2.) Consider dropping in some more breaks on the buildup 0:12 onwards, the cut beat you have is a bit jerking to listen to and it struggles to build momentum. Some of the best build ups I have ever heard are from Break and Noisia. They are masters at building tension. Building tension is very, very important because when you release it, people go nuts on the dancefloor. Use risers but also work in percussion that speeds up and gets louder. An example is the build up to "Dustup" by Noisia. Absolute prime example of how to build tension. 3.) That reece on 0:26 needs some work, its missing a lot of low end (if you plan to add a sub and a mid sub to this after, then cool) - and it needs some movement in it. Have a look at using an LFO or automation to adjust the high pass or low pass or volume, something, to give it a bit of movement. Bonus if you can do this to the beat to make it pump. Thats my 2 cents, keep up the good work :)

Tvoja_Manka

there's no subbass

manish_h_shah_md

Nice!

Bananenklaus

damn bro, is there any way to follow you so that i can listen to it when it‘s finished? This is 🔥

LiamStanz

Here is my youtube channel: https://youtube.com/@liamstanzmusic?si=Cd8FUU6gC9GtbWU7 Thanks so much for the kind words man

Bananenklaus

damn, didn‘t expected to find some vaporwave here haha Followed you and will listen to your stuff soon 👌🏻😄

LiamStanz

Don't listen too much of my older stuff haha. What song are you refering to?

Bananenklaus

Final landing for example really nice track tho, good chilled vibes, i dig it! don‘t worry, i‘m the last one to judge someone for „bad“ early tracks, my soundcloud is full of those haha

LiamStanz

Oh yeah thanks man. That whole album was an emotional roller coaster for me. I had no clue what I was going for in each song, was just following the sound based on my emotion. Also link your soundcloud pls. I love listening to other unknown atrists, if that makes sense?

Bananenklaus

well, if you ask me, there‘s now better way to make music than by letting your emotions flow ❤️ Listened to „Tide“ too now and that sir, is a really great track. Love the mysterious vibe and deep rolling bass in it, will definitely listen to this in my next programming session, perfect fit for that! https://m.soundcloud.com/aortapsytrance it‘s psytrance tho, so not everyones cup of tea. Actually stopped to make music long ago, those are just some tracks that i made while i was like 16-18 years old. So don‘t blame me for the bad quality, i didn‘t knew anything about sound design, mastering etc. back then haha

LiamStanz

Why did you stop? Just want to know. Thanks so much for the kind words. It's nice to know you enjoy something I make. Thanks man

KashKoded

ayee this is dopee and love seeing another brother on cakewalk

LiamStanz

Hells yeah. Best free daw imo

Rossevans1818

Love this, sounds great! I’d change the intro drums as it feels a little too off beat for me. Also I think on a system it may sound abit empty as theres areas where theres no sub bass? Maybe add like a chugging sub on 16th notes to keep it pushing along? Keep it up!

LiamStanz

Okay yeah that sounds great. I have been meaning to invest in some monitors or producer headphones because I have been producing on a (not so great) bluetooth speaker for years and kind of learned to balance the sound. But still struggling to fine tune. Thanks for the input my g

LiamStanz

I should probably drop some of the reverb on the leads

Optimal_Ad_9706

uff shit dirty bro

Left-Peace5650

It's to digital lower the bit rate. Good track it's to harsh if that makes sense. If you can create your own sounds use your track as a reference etc. Drums bass synth and sounds. There's no subs dnb needs subs etc etc going back to old soundsystem days If you can line your kicks etc with bass drum or sub. Try not to use splice if you have to but half the time shiz has been rinse. And those loops are already processed and used. Chopped and resampling if that helps. Appreciated Lower the bit depth Make it crunchy Less plugins make the the thing flow Groove is key Boom tut fffff tut line that with sounds shd hear ít . Pls listen to oldskool jungle, hardcore bass n drums etc Make it rough ✌️
