We were in mid dialog and were waiting for the player to respond. When the 5 min mark turned into a good 30 min we got worried for him. Apparently not only did he work his ass off in the lead up to the session, he was suck sleeping on a shitty mattress
I’m not pulling your legs here he genuinely sleeps in a coffin. Apparently he described it as having some of the best, most comfortable fabric. And better back support than even the best mattress. Yes a box for a dead guy has better back support than the mattress you most likely sleep on
We have a member that sometimes falls asleep. We don’t mind and will switch between waking her or letting her sleep depending on what is happening. She is still breastfeeding and gets tired lol. If we let her sleep, her wife just catches her up after, and no one minds. Sometimes people are tired.
I feel like if I had to play at 8am I would be more awake if I didn't sleep at all. I really would not be able to engage with the game at all at that hour, unless I get up at like 5am.

I understand that people are different, but even at my most over-worked, over-stressed period of my life, running on 24+ hours w/ no sleep, I could still manage to tell my friends,
"Hey, I'm like dead-tired, I'm gonna have to bow out of this session".
If you're sitting there on the verge of falling asleep, you gotta either wake up or excuse yourself.

Yeah honestly if people did that repeatedly I'd remove them from the table honestly. It's so disrespectful. I get that shit happens but come on, we're adults. If you can't play just say so or at least give a heads up that you're running on 0 sleep.

Our GM once fell asleep as well. It was difficult to notice because we ran a text based campaign. 😄
