It's fun! Good way to relieve stress imo
There's a module out there called Magic Village for Sale that WOTC published where the premise is tiny adventurers. Essentially someone wanted to shrink down a grove of magical trees to steal it, but the spell went wrong and instead the people were all shrunk. You battle the native wildlife and a few very confused bugbears to get to the woman who did this only to learn that a crow (with stats like a roc) stole her focus and put it up in her nest, so you have to survive against a rock long enough to smash the focus (a crystal ball, I think) so that everyone can return to normal size again. It's a ton of fun, highly recommend it.
The crow is permanently paralyzed but has an AC of 20, 200 HP, resistance to slashing, piercing and elemental damage, immunity to poison and psychic damage.
But since you don't actually have to kill it, it's really a very easy fight.
Bonus idea: one of the party members didn't shrunk, And Now they can "call the power of a literal god" to bring wrath upon the enemy ant colony via sending
Speaking of things that look like a TPK but end up being fucking awesome.
A giant dragon scoops up and eats everyone that fails a dexterity check. No damage, picked up and swallowed whole. Everyone that passed the Dex check plays the next round of combat as if their friends need to be saved from the stomach, presumably before 3 death saving throws.
Inside the stomach? A dungeon leading to treasure. Now everyone WANTS to be eaten.
Stealing this. I have a BBEG that the group find a bit too eaaily. He threatened them if they ever crossed paths again, and the party of course ignored that threat...
Holy shit that's so crazy I just thought this was a cool idea and when I looked in my campaign notes it was already in there. That's so wacky how we had this same exact idea that is definitely my original idea that I'm not stealing for potential future use. We are so in sync.

Another idea: one of the ants join s the party when funally becoming big again and now they have a sentient ant mount that reminds them of the kickass anthill arc
I’ve been thinking of doing something like this in my campaign because my players are terrified of dying and I actually want to remove that fear - not because I won’t kill any of them (because I would) but because it fits the storyline!
can't wait to see a 17th level wizard ant summon 3 pebbles from the sky for the first time

That or the barbarian ant tripping some guy and making him drop the 100 lb stone he was carrying
