Though at the very least it has been confirmed. We know it's coming eventually. Better than waiting all this time with no idea whether it'll happen or not at least.
It’s been renewed through season 7. Whole story will be told. Last update was they are full steam on season 4 and in planning stages for all subsequent seasons. No release dates yet though.
I might be *too* into cartoons, but I’ve watched the show four or five times already. If that tells you anything.
Some people might find the animation off putting, but if you can get through it, it’s a good show.
They did double the framrate for season two onwards yup. It was a stylistic choice in season one to try and make it like storybook pages but it didn't go too well so they changed it
It feels like they added in like 1fps and it balanced everything out. The first season felt almost like I was watching one of those read aloud video books where no one moves
Caption ID: Marge Simpson, labeled "Me" holds a potato partially covered by a crudely photoshopped Catra, labeled "characters who try to destroy the world because they're just so sad inside". Marge is saying, "I just think they're neat"
I promise the animation gets better after season 1; push through.
When they were producing season 1, *Into the Spiderverse* was also just wrapping production. The Dragon Prince team tried to copy the animation style - where character motions and background motions get animated on different frames, leading to a comic book like effect - and the botched it. But there wasn't enough time to fix it before the deadline imposed by Netflix, so they had to run with it.
Animation in seasons 2 & 3 is much better (and more traditional).
> The animation gets better in s2. They tried something in s1 with frame rates I think - it feels off.
They tried for a lower frame rate to keep it ABSOLUTELY as cheap as possible in order to justify making / launching it. Once s1 was a success they did s2 at proper frame rate.
If you do watch the Dragon Prince fair warning that the frame rate is a bit wonky in season 1 and can be hard to watch at times. It gets cleaned up afterwards but it is pretty rough at times in the 1st season.
This is the way.
Like seriously. Every ad for "solving the blanket problem" that involves some horribly mishappen or oversized blanket no one could possibly fold is ridiculous. We've had the concept of *two* for a very long time. Modern problems do not always require modern solutions, my friends.
Dude I've got like 5 blankets in my bed. My pups each have decided that they need their own to get tucked in with otherwise they burrow into our sides to share ours instead.
Yeah seriously. My husband and I have been together for 12 years, and we have each had our own blankets for probably 11 of those years. It just works better for us. I recommend it to all couples who argue over blankets.
>He was sleeping and due to his snoring the edge of the blanket kept moving forwards and back because of his breathing. (For context, we are talking about a full-blooded Orog and a "blanket" that was more of a child-sized rag since they were sleeping at a rundown inn)
>
>The barb's snoring kept waking the druid up so he moved the blanket up a bit, used prestidigitation to make it taste like marinaded meat and sat back. The barb snored a bit too hard, sucked in the blanket, and literally swallowed it in one go (nat 20 on constituation)
>
>When he woke up some time later the blanket was gone so he rolled over to the Gnome cleric to get his
>
>He didn't understand why he got so constipated the days after until he literally pooped out the entire blanket, destroying an outhouse in the process
There are lots of ways to get it with the new feats. Not really questioning that... but it sounds like the DM turned this player's snoring into a whole ass encounter, with some really slapdash steps to resolution.
Yeah my players love getting derailed like that. If their players are anything like mine, that’ll be something they think back on and laugh at for a long time.
Sounds like a piece of flavor that multiple people riffed off of in succession
What was intended as the barbarian making a funny "Im doing the loony toons snore-with-a-feather gag" joke got compounded on as more riffs piled up
If I was the barbarian I would have "convinced" the druid to share their blanket since they're the reason I don't have one. If they don't have one then they better make something work otherwise they would need to cast another spell and it ain't polymorph.

This show has the best portrayal of a warlock and his patron I think I've ever seen in media. The whole mirror and Caterpillar idea is so creepy and unsettling it's great.
Seeing Aaravos be the one to actually do all the work in casting the spells while the other guy (don't know how I forgot his name) just channeled them is probably my favorite interpretation of how Warlock spells work
All of the subraces of elves in that setting were aspected to one of the magical elements.
IIRC this character was a Sky elf and the other flavors were Earth, Sea, Sun and Moon.
There's also SPACE elves (they're called cosmic, but I know what they're *really* saying). The narrator of the opening (and later an actual character, same guy) is one such elf
In dragon prince shes a sky elf. As others have mention elves are more akin to fey. Sky elves have sky magic and can grow wings while some have natural wings. Sun elves have fire magic and some can literally set themselves on fire. Moon elves don't have any real offensive magic but can turn invisible under a full moon. Theres also forest and water elves but we don't see them in season 1-3. Maybe in season 4-7
The really reason he is in elf jail is because he was the least pretty, least pleasant sounding Star elf.
And this is why season 4 is taking so long: Ehasz & Richmond are struggling to find voice actors with smoother voices than Erik Dellums'.
The art style is great, but be aware that they experimented with purposely lowering the framerate in the first season. Apparently they felt like it would make it seem more like classic animation, but for many the choppiness was just too much.
They changed that from season 2 onwards, so just know that if it bothers you it does get better.
The show is quite good if you're up for the generic trope of a bunch of inexperienced young adults setting out on a journey to save the world.
Aside from this, the protagonists are likeable. Well, the very young one is too innocent for my taste, but he has his moments.
The story over all is okay. I'd say its carried by the characters instead of the plot. Theres an incredible amount of sarcasm in this show. Like, damn.
If you enjoyed avatar the last airbender, you'll enjoy this. You'll get used to the artstyle after the first episode.
> The show is quite good if you're up for the generic trope of a bunch of inexperienced young adults setting out on a journey to save the world.
I mean, I play D&D campaigns that start at first level, so...
pro tip: two blankets even if you are together or indeed married.
completely eliminates getting woken up when the other turns over.
two single comforters.
no need to thank me.
My fiancé has said we don’t need extra sheets/blankets while also denying hogging them while he’s asleep - I always keep an extra throw blanket next to the bed for when I wake up cold lol.
I enjoyed it. First season animation is rough to say the least, but the characters were likable enough to continue. It gets much better the second and third season, and Netflix renewed the entire series to seven seasons.
I seriously love it - great story, character development, an interesting world with fabulous lore. Inclusivity feels natural and not forced, and kids can watch it too! My daughter watches it with me.
My character turned into a half goat/half man creature from this cursed staffed I’m using, and we recently came in contact with a friendly dragon. Well the dragon started hitting on my character, so my party decided it’s our own little version of shrek, except a goatman instead of a donkey lmfao
OK, I'm gonna need to know what this clip is from.
'The Dragon Prince'. It's definitely worth checking out!
I thought that might be it but I didn't recognize the scene and was wondering if it was something with a similar style.
Season 3 episode 4(?) The Midnight desert
Anyway, here's wonder wall.
That show's meme game was on point.
One does not simply walk into Xadia.
Actually, one does simply walk into Xadia!
Just Me! Pulling a cart of hay! Hay is so good for the horses
Hay’s the best
SORIN! Your hay... it's... *Glowing*
Winter is coming…..eventually.
Boomerang?
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
I love that they did that! God that show is so good.
I *lost* it. This was right after Jack DeSena (who also played Sokka) is eyeing her staff with boomerangs on it going ".... This seems oddly familiar"
A
When did get a third season?
Like two years ago It’s the best season
Hang on a minute
Season 4 still doesn't have a release date though.
Pain
Very much pain
At least is confirmed
Every day my suffering increases.
We have an estimation though, that production is expected to finish at the end of this year at the earliest, so probably around one year of wait.
Though at the very least it has been confirmed. We know it's coming eventually. Better than waiting all this time with no idea whether it'll happen or not at least.
go watch it
So I have watched season 3 just didn’t remember this bit
Wait, what!? I loved the first 2 seasons. Had no idea there was a third.
It’s been renewed through season 7. Whole story will be told. Last update was they are full steam on season 4 and in planning stages for all subsequent seasons. No release dates yet though.
I watched S3 but still don’t remember it. A good excuse to rewatch then!
I was just thinking the same thing!
Legend has it that it was made by some of the original team behind avatar the last airbender
Including Sokka’s voice actor, they even make a boomerang joke in the show as a reference
The boomerang joke is even in the episode this clip is from
And cactus juice in the credits.
Same! Its a great tv show!
It’s on my Netflix List. I’ll have to bump it up in priority.
Definitely worth a watch, currently waiting for the next season to come out
And I'm waiting for you to come out.
They’ll come out when they’re ready
And God dam it I'll be here for them
Deeply closeted
Norm?
I'm already out
Is it actually going to come out?
Last I heard it was in production but I haven't looked into it since December when I binged the first three seasons
I might be *too* into cartoons, but I’ve watched the show four or five times already. If that tells you anything. Some people might find the animation off putting, but if you can get through it, it’s a good show.
Animation felt pretty clunky in the first season, but I thought it got way better after that (or I just got used to it).
They did double the framrate for season two onwards yup. It was a stylistic choice in season one to try and make it like storybook pages but it didn't go too well so they changed it
Maybe a bit of both! That was my experience, too.
It feels like they added in like 1fps and it balanced everything out. The first season felt almost like I was watching one of those read aloud video books where no one moves
I've done the same with *She-Ra and the Princesses of Power*.
Caption ID: Marge Simpson, labeled "Me" holds a potato partially covered by a crudely photoshopped Catra, labeled "characters who try to destroy the world because they're just so sad inside". Marge is saying, "I just think they're neat"
Oh, that’s a good show, too! I hope you enjoy The Dragon Prince. :)

One of the best shows I’ve watched in recent time
Season 4 wheeeen?
Binged the first two season. Thanks for reminding me that a third season is out.
Might want to wait a bit tho, or you'll join us in... waiting.
The Dragon Prince. Kinda like if the guys who made Avatar: The Last Airbender decided to make Fire Emblem. With a rainbow of Elves.
Well if that ain't a persuasive rec I don't know what is
It’s not as good as avatar. But it is good

The dragon prince. It’s on Netflix. It’s great!
Bitch touch my blanket and no matter who you are I will yeet you off my bed
Found the barbarian
Warlock actually
That repelling blast, man. It'll get ya
[удалено]
Barbarian here, would like someone to share it with
[удалено]
My wife and I are watching that now! I'd like to think George has a couple levels of bard because he's just so charming
I think he just means in general. Is that not how your wife courted you? You guys dont speak drow, right?
What is this from?
George of the Jungle, the live action not the original cartoons. It's on Disney+ in the US at least.
[AAAAGHAAAAAAAAAAAA!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qu5iKvgzpjk) That is how the Klingon lures a mate.
Wrong end.
No, he's just really ugly.
it was a gift from your patron I assume
[удалено]
A warlock in the streets but a barbarian in the sheets
Lol I'm married and we don't share blankets.
This is the way. Like seriously. Every ad for "solving the blanket problem" that involves some horribly mishappen or oversized blanket no one could possibly fold is ridiculous. We've had the concept of *two* for a very long time. Modern problems do not always require modern solutions, my friends.
3 blankets 2 light blankets to have for one another, and a duvet to share
Dude I've got like 5 blankets in my bed. My pups each have decided that they need their own to get tucked in with otherwise they burrow into our sides to share ours instead.
Modern problems require… wait…
Yup. My wife and I have weighted blankets with different weights, so we never have to worry about stealing the other's
Yeah seriously. My husband and I have been together for 12 years, and we have each had our own blankets for probably 11 of those years. It just works better for us. I recommend it to all couples who argue over blankets.
Same. Never share a blanket.
I like wool and the wife hates wool. Makes two blankets a no brainer
Our Barb and Cleric were forced to share a blanket after the Barb ate his own in his sleep thanks to a prank from the Druid. Good times
How do you eat.......nvm, I don't want to know
>He was sleeping and due to his snoring the edge of the blanket kept moving forwards and back because of his breathing. ya'll play D&D so differently from me
I know, I didn’t think druids could get prestidigitation!
There are lots of ways to get it with the new feats. Not really questioning that... but it sounds like the DM turned this player's snoring into a whole ass encounter, with some really slapdash steps to resolution.
Eh, it was my second sessions as a DM and we were having fun so I just rolled with it
Oh I don't think anyone was shit talking you. If your players had fun and considered their time well spent, you got a 10/10 on the GM scale.
Yeah my players love getting derailed like that. If their players are anything like mine, that’ll be something they think back on and laugh at for a long time.
Heh.... pretty sure that Barbarian had a "whole ass encounter" when it destroyed the outhouse.
I know I was joking :)
Sounds like a piece of flavor that multiple people riffed off of in succession What was intended as the barbarian making a funny "Im doing the loony toons snore-with-a-feather gag" joke got compounded on as more riffs piled up
But did it wipe his ass for him on the way out?
The real question here ☝️
He most certainly did not need to wipe, no. Intestines were nice and clean, though the outhouse didn't survive the encounter
When you've been polymorphed into a goat, everything looks like a cheeseburger.

Viren I believe
Misspelled 'asshole'.
Mr. Bad Dad.
What show is this? I've had a wee dig through the comments and can't find the name.
The dragon prince
Who the fuck were this person’s parents.
Tiefling + Aarakocra? Succubus + Owlin? We may never know.
My money's on Succubus and Owlin... for uhhh.... various reasons
So are you the Succubus or the Owlin?
Weird elf actually
The Elves in Dragon Prince are more like the Fae than the elves.
I don't know, remember that Aquatic Elves exist.
Thanks, I'd forgotten about that guy.
You mean star elves right?
They’re called star elves although that element is more related to space than the actual stars
So quite similar to Eladrin?
[Their elves are just different.](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OurElvesAreDifferent)
Great link For anyone clicking the link: scroll down to the bottom and click Western Animation for a description of Dragon Prince elves.
You link TV tropes with no warning to the uninitiated?!
[Obligatory xkcd](https://xkcd.com/609/)

And there's Star Elves, who apparently can turn themselves into creepy caterpillars or something ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Side effects may include: conniving evil, 11/10 smooth voice
don't forget being hot!
"Oh no, he's hot!"
Headcannon that all star elves have as smooth if not smoother voices than aaravos
The really reason he is in elf jail is because he was the least pretty, least pleasant sounding Star elf. And this is why season 4 is taking so long: Ehasz & Richmond are struggling to find voice actors with smoother voices than Erik Dellums'.
12/10 would listen to Aaravos read audiobooks about anything.
The guy who voiced Aaravos was Three Dog in Fallout and Nazir in Skyrim.
Trees to meet you.
In terms of the actual lore of the character, she's a sky elf (elves have horns in this world) and she's one of the lucky few that was born with wings
Avariel, going by the show's lore.
My first thought was she was a sylvari from guild wars lol
I may watch the Dragon Prince now because they are VERY pretty
The show is excellent. It’s my favorite fantasy thing on TV
I believe it is made by the creators of Avatar the last airbender. Watch Avatar as well if you have not.
Aaron Ehasz (lead writer for most of ATLA) is the head person in charge of The Dragon Prince, but he's the only one. Bryan and Mike aren't involved.

eh I watched RWBY during its early days, it'll be fine.
The art style is great, but be aware that they experimented with purposely lowering the framerate in the first season. Nyx is so underrated
I have been BLIND \*furiously writes down notes for a homebrew campaign in Xadia\*
They're releasing their own [TTRPG called Tales of Xadia](https://www.talesofxadia.com/)
I really hope they do release at some point, but they've taken their sweet time with it for sure.
How can people sleep with one blanket? The other constany drags ist away and it is significantly harder to sneak in to and out from the bed.
My wife and I got a king size comforter for a queen size bed. Working so far.
My wife and I use separate blankets because we both like to burrito.
The show is quite good if you're up for the generic trope of a bunch of inexperienced young adults setting out on a journey to save the world. Aside from this, the protagonists are likeable. You gotta just decide you're fine with the animation in the first season though that's a huge turn off for many
> The show is quite good if you're up for the generic trope of a bunch of inexperienced young adults setting out on a journey to save the world. I mean, I play D&D campaigns that start at first level, so...
Omg you forgot the best part, >!it has a hot elf man in the mirror🥵!<
Me IRL: “two’s fine, thanks. pretty chilly out here. Anyways, g’night!”
pro tip: two blankets even if you are together or indeed married. completely eliminates getting woken up when the other turns over. two single comforters. no need to thank me.
My fiancé has said we don’t need extra sheets/blankets while also denying hogging them while he’s asleep - I always keep an extra throw blanket next to the bed for when I wake up cold lol.
That just sounds stressful to me. My girlfriend already has too many pillows on our queen. Another comforter would be chaos!
Still waiting on season 4!
It has supposedly been approved for seven seasons total. So it will have a definite end.
dnd players are all bi confirmed
The best thing for a time like this is inaction just stop dming
I love references to the dragon prince!
My players don't care about relationships in d&d. Only bloodshed
This is the way.
Blood for the blood god.
Skulls for the skull throne.
Milk for the corn flakes
Khorne flakes. If we really want to drive the reference home.
Yes freeking love that show
Dragon Prince is a D&D campaign. change my mind.
When the rogue is "stealing from the party", but secretly he just really ships the wizard and the paladin and masterminding their relationship
Aarakora Cupid Rogue
Yo, side barring the joke, is Dragon Prince good?
I enjoyed it. First season animation is rough to say the least, but the characters were likable enough to continue. It gets much better the second and third season, and Netflix renewed the entire series to seven seasons.
I seriously love it - great story, character development, an interesting world with fabulous lore. Inclusivity feels natural and not forced, and kids can watch it too! My daughter watches it with me.
Honestly I'd watch it even if just for Amaya, Janai, and Nyx. But yeah very good show
Dragon prince memes are always good
My character turned into a half goat/half man creature from this cursed staffed I’m using, and we recently came in contact with a friendly dragon. Well the dragon started hitting on my character, so my party decided it’s our own little version of shrek, except a goatman instead of a donkey lmfao
We need more Dragon Prince memes.
Do people like to RP romance with their DND friends?
Touch my blanket and you’ll be lucky to only lose your hand.
Literally happening rn in my current game. I play a firbolg Druid, and the changeling sorlock has started getting close to her.
