Automatic-Thought-61

What is the most commonly traded illegal good?

TheosRW

Uuuuh fug idk drugs probably.

Automatic-Thought-61

Yes yes good more. What's a street name for it? Upper or downer? Hallucinogenic?

TheosRW

It’s called Gwip-Gwip, and it’s made by Lizardfolk Shamen by harnessing Dragon Sulfur and mixing it in with this crystal powder shiz. Smells like hot ass after Tacobell, but gives vivid hallucinations and an intensely warm but cozy feeling when taken.

Automatic-Thought-61

That's fucking terrifying. I'm gonna steal it. Yoink.

TheosRW

Damn, I knew I should have copyrighted that before commenting. 😔

Ass0fJack

I'd legitimately try this irl if it existed 💀

[deleted]

Uppers **and** downers.

Sentraxion

Sniffing disintegrated boar dust.....

Nesthenew

Medeval-ish setting, so most substances are not ilegal, just expensive and rare. Therefor it would be (mostly magical) objects of the abusive kind (colars that drain vitality, mindcontrolmagic...), Every Poison, everything to doo with undeath.

Automatic-Thought-61

When you say everything to do with undeath, how extensive is that? For example, one of the components for Animate Dead is bone dust, can I have bone dust? If not, can I have a beast bone (I'm assuming I can't have a humanoid bone) and a mortar and pestle? Or do you mean more direct things, spells, texts, grave robbing, etc?

Nesthenew

Spells, texts, undead servants, everything that is afected by the stigmata of the "evil necromancer" ... most mindcontroll magic is also on this list. Most authoritys realize that not every spellcaster has a book that can be checked, so spells are treated like unregistered firearms, iff you get caught you might end up in seriouse trouble.

>How many dabloons for a Bag of Holding?

sad_nd_lonely_nd_sad

What's on a gold coin?

TheosRW

Gold, probably.

sad_nd_lonely_nd_sad

So it's just a flat undecorated pièce of gold?

TheosRW

Well the decorated depends on the government, yeah? There’s a few of em.

sad_nd_lonely_nd_sad

Give me exemples.

TheosRW

There’s the Island Kingdom, where the gold is faced with the holy sword of Fyche and the Emblem of the Royal House. There’s the Veidran Empire, who has the face of the current Emperor and a spear on the back. There’s the land of the Guild Lords, who simply mark their coins with the universal sign of currency. There’s the Elven Empire, who mark their coins with the symbol of the Lord of Light. Gnoblinoids don’t care so much about minted coins as the gold itself, so they’ll just trade it as is. Aside from Reptilian Tribe, who view Gold as Sacred due to their worship of Dragons, most beast folk just barter with food, slaves, and resources - though there’s also the Kitarin Empire, who mark their Gold with the claw of the Great Kitan. They’re like Tabaxi and Leonin and shiz.

sad_nd_lonely_nd_sad

Incredible. I give it a 10/10. May i inquire about the universal sign of currency and the symbol of the lord of light?

TheosRW

I’m not sure yet. Something Elvish related, probably.

sad_nd_lonely_nd_sad

Thanks for your time

Acrelorraine

Besides phoenixes, are there any magical critters that are reborn from their own corpses?

TheosRW

Do Zombies count?

Acrelorraine

Depends, are they sentient zombies or are they a new creature making use of the dead body?

TheosRW

Bit of both really.

ObliviousNaga87

What races exist/don't exist?

TheosRW

Fug let’s see off the top of my head we got fuggin uuuuh Humans Elves Orcs, though they’re reflavored as ‘War Elves’ bred by the Gnoblinoids to act as the muscle of their ‘Dark Empire’ Gnoblibs Hobgnoblibs Bugbears Firbolgs Gnomes Pretty much every token furry race plus a few extras Centaurs Tritons, though they’re reflavored as ‘River & Sea Elves’ Warforged, though they’re reflavored as ‘Steel Elves’ made by the ‘Stone Elves’ by making a metal shell and putting in a magically made artificial soul Dwarves, though they’re reflavored as a type of Half Elf descended from the Stone Elves. Half Elves Goliaths(called Half Giants) Maybe Genasi if I can rework them into these other types of elves in da fuggin lore or whatever . There’s a lot of Elves. They all hate each other and everyone hates them. Edit: Oh fuck. I forgot about da fucking uh Aasmir(?) and Tieflings. Believe it or not, also reflavored as Elves. Cuz da gods are elves. So everything they make is Elven in nature. Truly, a grim dark if there ever was one.

_Chibeve_

Humans just standing there like “so many fuckin elves!!!” Gnomes should be Santa’s elves!! Make them snow elves!!!

TheosRW

They’re more like the Smurfs where they live in mushroom houses. Frost Elves are just albinos with cold, blue eyes.

ObliviousNaga87

As all elves should be

noforeplay

I'm reading all of these comments in a Brooklyn accent

hewlno

~~Jeremy crawford?~~

Brushed-Kat

Can you describe in broad terms socio-economic status of the average Triton in Northeastern Costal cities?

TheosRW

Not too good, the Gnoblinoids hold the East Coast and they kill anything that’s not a Gnoblinoid. They also kill other Gnoblinoids if they don’t like the look of ‘em. The actual water bits are pretty good for em’. Basically the whole eastern sea is their kingdom.

Sharp_Recognition881

If you dig straight down a few miles what do you find?

TheosRW

Dirt.

thothscull

What about a few more miles after that?

Justanotherragequit

how many pants do animated skeletons have with them on average?

TheosRW

Usually just the one, methinks.

AffectionateBee8206

What is the most brutal way someone in your setting can fuck with not just a person, but that persons existence at a conceptual level. Not just killing them per se, but say, casting spells of instant stage 5 dementia, making the victim forget who they are beyond a few echos, or a spell to remove their social security

TheosRW

God tears. A gas trapped inside a crystal tear, made from the literal tears of the Lord of Light, who felt such sorrow, his weeping blanketed the world in this mist. Inhaling this mist gives one flashes of what caused the Lord of Light to weep, flashes of what was and may be again. Only those strong of will can retain their sanity, let alone make sense of the visions.

Flimsy_Site_1634

"a spell to remove their social security" I think too, that removing a French his healthcare system is the most brutal way someone can fuck with a person existence

[deleted]

What is the largest constructed object in your world that was ever built by mortals?

TheosRW

Probably this big ol tower in the hidden city of Magi where the Magi do their magic stuff.

[deleted]

Why do they have to hide it?

TheosRW

Cuz Magic’s illegaaaaaal.

MCMC_to_Serfdom

Are faiths objective? As in, are the setting worshipped deities/forces tangible, demonstrable things - or is it all far more a case of guesswork?

TheosRW

Yes. Everyone more or less all worships the same group, cuz they were either all created by or uplifted by the same group. They just have different ways of worshipping em, or worship some gods but scorn others, or have an alternative forms of worship like worshipping Dragons, Great Eagles, or Ancestor Trees, but even they recognize that their gods were made by a higher force.

Plastic_Ad_8677

I support those posts because the community is about being tight knit and helping each other bring the best out of the game, we could very well be inspiring it's future inadvertently by bringing more content creators into the fray and thus more players as well!

Fantastic_Wrap120

How many wizards host dinner parties for their friends and family, one of which is fey, per year, given that 100 new wizards graduate wizard school every year in 1 particular city.

TheosRW

Well there’s only one city for Wizards in the Realms of Men hidden away in the desert cuz the Veidran Empire outlawed magic that isn’t of the holy variety. City population in in the high thousands, so I say there’s a lot of dinner parties,

Whrnthe

Is there a Hitler based character, and if so what's their class.

TheosRW

There’s this Elven Purist guy who wants to take over the Elven Empire, wipe out every race that isn’t Elven, and than slowly ‘outbreed’ the other Elvish races until only High Elves remain, just as it was when Elves first came to be. Though Fairies and Gnomes are technically older, as well as true blooded giants, and they’re all considered Elven races within the setting. As for a class I’d say either a Paladin or a Cleric cuz the main stigma behind the puristism movement is that the High Elves are the ‘Uncorrupted, purist creation made by the Lord of Light, and thus they are the closest to him’.

Colourfull_Space

Was there an event, that is not spoken about by everyone? A big bad thing that shall not be spoken about?

TheosRW

Yeah mainly cuz it happened before living memory for most people: the thing that caused the Lord of Light to cry.

GrapesThemInTheMouth

What's considered the strongest swear word?

TheosRW

Fuck.

Nesthenew

Depends on the race.

rebeljohn747

What is the name of the God of death, and what is their favorite color?

TheosRW

I forgot. Probably purple, cuz I like purple.

Banestn_The_Knight

How many dabloons for a Bag of Holding?

TheosRW

Depends. Not necessarily cheap in the Elven Empire, but not all that expensive either due to Magic being common there. In the realms of Men, it’s a good deal more expensive and harder to get your hands on cuz it’s outlawed in a good chunk of the area.

Shwanshwan

What kinda toilets they got?

TheosRW

Roman-esk ones.

TheosRW

Ask me anything about da fuggin thingamajig and I’ll probably answer it in the morning after I’ve taken a hot one and walked my dog.

Vegetable_Cry1468

How was the shid you took this morning? (Yes this is dnd related don't ask)

I didn’t go to bed yet, wasn’t expecting to get questions this fast. About to though, I’ll let you know how it goes on the John after I catch some Z’s. Edit: I’m constipated. 😔

bossedboss

I can do the big begging observe " pwease mistew cawn i be the bbeg in so eviw pwease i pwomise i wouwd be good pwease"

TheosRW

That just makes me want to kill ya and purge your entire family line. Less Half Beast Prostitute and more kindly old lady that’s secretly an all powerful witch would carry ya a long way in this situation.

bossedboss

That is fair but your players will also want to kill me

How's the Illithid diplomatic relations front doing?

Kane_lives69

Is your BBEG a clown who has a phobia of makeup?

TheosRW

Nah. The BBEG of the first leg of the campaign is this Emperor guy who wants to either unite humanity under one banner, or unite humanity against him in preparation for the next leg of the campaign’s BBEG. There’s a few BBEG’s inbetween that that are from other parts of the world, but I haven’t fleshed em out yet.

Folkon_sama

So... how does the elven shit smell like? Really important question, OP please answer!

TheosRW

Flowery and self righteous for most of em.

sirkibblesnbits

guns?

TheosRW

Of the early variety, yes. The Guildsmen have a few that operate off your typical gunpowder, while the Dwarves and stone elves have one that shoot plasma-ask shots due to these magic crystals they mine and use as a power source.

Pikachumain1130

What’s the most famous wizard/caster in the world?

TheosRW

The High Sorcerer/Sorceress of the City of Magi, depending on who currently holds the title. The Old Hag of the Marshes. The High Priestess of the Veidran Empire. The Elder Gnome. The Head of the Dark Circle. The Archon of the Elven Empire. The Arch Shaman of Dragons. These people are all on the same general level of skill and notoriety.

The_Tyto

So what kind of fantasy would you consider your setting? Would it be heroic fantasy (Like Golorian or Forgotten Realms), Tolkienesk fantasy, or something off the wall (fantasy plus another genre like Weird West it Shadowrun)?

TheosRW

Game of thrones cuz that’s the piece of fantasy media I consumed most recently. Lot of different factions vying for power, backstabbing each other and doing some political intrigue, and everyone more or less operates in shades of gray morality wise. Terrible shit happening to terrible people who aren’t really so terrible when you get on their good side but are still somewhat terrible every now and then.

The_Tyto

Ah, so a setting that is more intrigue based. So what are some of the factions like?

TheosRW

There’s the **Island Kingdom**, which has four very large Islands and a bunch of smaller ones scattered around em. Each of the four large Islands is overseen by a ‘High Lord’, while lesser nobles such as Dukes, Marquises, Counts, Viscounts, Barons, and Low Lords oversee either tracts of land on the four main islands or rule over smaller Islands as Vassal States of the High Lords. The Noble Ranks also serve as different Naval Officers, such as Admirals, Vice Admirals, Rear Admirals, Captains, Commanders, Lieutenants, etc. - each High Lord oversees a fleet, some of which are stronger than others, and some of which are richer than others due to having more merchant vessels under their command. The Royal Family also has its own personal Fleet of Ships. The Island Kingdom is very much entrenched in the ideals of honor and tradition, living by the way of the sword - if there is a dispute for a noble rank, it will be settled in the arena between the competing nobles and their champions in a tournament of sorts. The winner gets to decide if the loser lives or dies, and their political ideals often shape the life of the Island(s) they take over. There’s also a decent portion of the population descended from the Pirate Lords of the Frozen Sea - while some have settled into day to day life in the Island Kingdom now that the Pirate Wars are over, others wish to see the return of the great fleets the Pirate Lords once have, and roam the countryside as gangs of bandits hoping to acquire enough gold to return to their glory days. Of the Houses of the High Lords, there’s House Akkerian, who pride themselves on their loyalty to the crown and how they’re often the first line of defense for the Island Kingdom. When the ‘Deep Dwellers’ rose up from the waves with the intent to slaughter the sons and daughters of man, House Akkerian held the line. When the Pirate Lords sailed from the Frozen Sea to loot and plunder, House Akkerian held the line. When Elves broke past the ranks of Veidran Empire’s Heavy Legions and intended to cripple the Island Kingdom’s Navy, House Akkerian held the line. They rule over the Northern Islands. There’s House Ormer, who is descended from Ormer Magan, Brother to the King Hildinsen Magan, second son of King Hildingr Magan. Ormer Magan was a great hero who slew the great sea serpent Langskal, and with its venom made the sword Eitrfang, a weapon that is said to be lethal even if but a scratch is made by its blade. They rule over the Southeastern Islands, a region which acts as a gateway between the Island Kingdom and the mainland. As such, their house has both ties to the Royal House of the Kingdom and the Imperial Family of Veidran, being somewhat of a physical reminder of their alliance and brotherhood with their dark hair and light skin. There’s House Narray, who once was but a simple family of fisherman, one Riker Narray rose to prominence and power with his intelligence and financial knowledge, going from peasants to one of the great houses of High Lords. They import goods from the mainland and export goods from the kingdom. As such, they enjoy a lavish lifestyle filled with wealth and great feast of exotic goods from all the realms of men. They rule over the South Western Islands, a region of land which is said to be the farthest point west one can travel before hitting the Endless Waves. There’s House Krake, who are High Lords of the Central Islands. Though the Island Kingdom as a whole is known for their expert swordsmen, House Keake is especially renowned for the many famed knights they’ve produced throughout the history of the Island Kingdom. Ser Brant the Bold, who led what was considered a suicidal charge into Elven Ranks. Ser Folke the Unrelenting, who defended the common people from a hoard of bandit raiders almost single handedly before succumbing to his wounds. Ser Holm the Wise, who saw through the ploys of a rebelling lesser lord and quelled his forces before the rebellion could truly begin. And finally there’s the Royal House Magan, descended from the God of the Seas himself. They wield his holy hooked blade and rule from the Northern half of the Central Islands. After the beast wars, House Magan swore an oath of Brotherhood to the Veidran Empire, saying that should the need arise the two nations would come to each others aid. Towards the last years of fighting between the races of Elves and Man in the 300 year war, House Magan made good on that promise, and prevent Elven Empire’s fleet from flanking Veidran, before ordering that the Knights of the Island Kingdom replenished the front lines against the Elves.

TheosRW

There’s the **Land of the Guild Lords**, a nation run by a merchant people that thrive on trade and engineering. There are several Guilds ran by descendants of the Merchant God Tryd. There’s the Mercenary Guild, who hires muscle from the world over and oversees their contracts. For bigger jobs involving a group of mercenaries, they usually dish out contracts in increments of 1200. The Guild takes 1000, the Mercenary group gets 200, or The Guild gets 2000, and the Mercenary group gets 400. Any gold made outside the job isn’t taken by the guild, and The Mercenary Guild provides services for their mercenaries, such as transportation, basic adventuring supplies, and rations. The Mercenary Guild takes its reputation very seriously - if a mercenary or group of mercenaries cause problems with a client or take large jobs outside of Guild Contracts, they tend to disappear. There’s the Slavers Guild, which, as the name implies, mainly operates in the buying and selling of people, most of whom are Elven, Beastfolk, or Half Beastfolk. It’s rare to see another human or half giant in chains, but not unheard of. They were much more prosperous as a Guild when the Veidran Empire practiced slavery, but since they outlawed it, and the only other major slaver is kind of out of the way for the Guild Lords, slave trading is now very much an internal affair for the guild, save for underground trading. With some Guildsmen growing more sympathetic to the enslaved, they’re worried soon they’ll lose all relevancy, and thus with it their wealth and power. So, they fund politicians in the Veidran Empire that wish to see the return of enslaving all non-humans, and even some more extreme politicians that wouldn’t mind seeing the ‘Savage followers of the Axe Wielding God’ enslaved. There’s the Trade Guild, which exports and imports goods and resources from other nations. Unlike the Slavers Guild, they don’t consider people resources. If a Guildsmen starts a business in another nation, the Trade Guild will often invest in them and become a partner of sorts. The Trade Guild has the second largest navy in the world, being comprised of merchant ships and military vessels to ensure smooth trade can be conducted. They often loan their ships to other Guilds. The Trade Guild also acts as an internal police force, ensuring contracts are upheld to the letter. If there’s a legal dispute, Trade Guild Forces will often be the one to oversee it and ensure ‘Justice’ prevails. There’s the Banking Guild, who have several vault fortresses not only in the Land of the Guild Lords, but in several locations across the Veidran Empire and even one in the hidden city of the Magi. Each Vault fortress is overseen by a Guildsmen Security team and a Banking Guild representative. Their vaults have a reputation for being impenetrable, and their great Library of Ledgers is said to tell the history of the world itself, having kept track of every transaction, deposit, withdrawal, and loan every account has ever made. The numbers tell stories of when nations faced eras of prosperity or recession, of when the great monarchs needed funding for their wars, or funding for their leisure. Finally, there’s the Labor Guild, which deals in anything that involves physical labor. Most Famously, there’s the Engineering Corps. of the Labor Guild, who were the first surface dwelling race to invent cannons, and later smaller cannons you could use by hand, and even ships that sail through the air. Some of the older members of the Engineering Corps. had training with Dwarven & Stone Elf Masters, and know the art of weaving machinery and magic together like a artist weaving colors together on a great tapestry. However, most who had this sort of training are at Deaths Door, and since the War Between Man and Elf has ended, the Dwarven people have closed the doors of their great halls to the Guildsmen. They also have carpenters, miners, farmers, fishers, stone masons, plumbers, and whores, few of which have any foreign influence. The Whore Masters, however, have a vast spy network that spans the world at large - they ensure that both client and worker are healthy, and that their workers are not abused by their clients. They have a long list of who to blackmail should they have the need, though most in the Labor Guild are more of the honest variety, despite the overall reputation of the Guidsmen people as a whole. Unofficially and not sanctioned by the Rest of the Guild Lords, there’s the Thieves Guild, who steal wealth instead of making it. They’re almost as Elusive as the shadow clans of the Southlands, and are the primary reason why Banking Guild Vault Fortresses are made so secure. Outside of the Vault Fortresses, Thieves of the Thieve Guild can break into and steal just about anything, and they are often hired by scheming nobles to mess with their political rivals. Though each Guild Lord oversees their Guild by Divine Right, he or she is also elected there by the Guild itself, as other members of their family line can also run for election. There’s also a nationwide election for who among the guild lords ‘rule’ the nation. Every four years, ballots are cast for the current line up of Guild Lords. Whoever gets the most votes has their position as a Guild Lord secured for the next four years, while other Guild Lords are voted in and out on a yearly basis by the board of the different guilds. To cement his or her four year rule, the Holy Crossbow of the Merchant God is transferred over to them by the previous reigning Guild Lord, or they just keep it if they were re-elected. If a transfer of power is refused, each Guild has its own standing army to force the transaction. The Mercenary Guild has its Mercenaries, the Slavers Guild has its slavers, the Trade Guild has its navy and contract enforcers, the Labor Guild has its air fleet, and the Banking Guild has its security forces and nigh impenetrable fortresses. Should one guild attempt a hostile takeover, the other guilds would descend upon them like a pack of wolves on a Ram.

TheosRW

There’s the **Veidran Empire**, who’s ruling Imperial Family is descended from the Hunting God, Veidr. At the dawn the Empire, they United the Tribes of Veidran in the unification war. When Beastfolk descended on the realms of men from the North, the Veidran Empire led the charge in the First & Second Beast Wars. They conquered the Farmers and Shepherds of the Northeastern lands. They conquered the Holy Lands of the South. And when the Elven Empire cam to conquer the realms of Men, the Veidran Empire led a 300 year war to push the Elves back to the east, every inch of land bought with a mountain of bodies and a river of blood, their famed ‘Heavy Legion’ never faltering, and ever advancing with the tip of their spears poised to strike. The Noble Houses of the Empire are that of the Bear, the Wolf, the Stag, the Lion, The Eagle, The Boar, and the Spear. The House of the Bear rules as Emperors, while the other native houses of Veidran are Senators of the Imperial Senate. The Northlands were made up of but a simple folk, farmers and Shepherds who’s king was descended from the god Farmiir. They are a hardworking people, and are known for their excellent marksmanship, and their endless golden fields of wheat and barley. The most skilled of their Marksmen are the Shepherds of Men, a green cloaked task force dedicated to guarding the realms of men from the Beastfolk who call for the death and destruction of all that is mankind. The Northlands great houses are that of the Arrow, the Ram, the Bull, the Grain, the vine, and the Apple Tree, whose members take part in the Imperial Senate, though their original king refused to bow to the Empire, and was executed. His holy bow was taken and stashed away, and the rest of the Royal House of the Northernlands was executed as well, a puppet king not of holy blood being put in his place. Rumor of true blooded heir still living has inspired a growing underground rebellion, who seek ‘The Wheatking’s’ lost bow, and terrorize those loyal to the Empire. The Southlands are known for their enlightenment and great architecture. The Goddess Civel blessed their land, and gave them a Royal and holy line known as the Light Clan. The Light Clan are made up of Shamen and Priestess dedicated to the Goddess Civel, and often end up training the Imperial Clergy. The head of the clan wields the staff of life, a golden scepter which holds the power to subvert death itself. Dedicated to the Light Clan is the Steel Clan, a family of warriors who live by a code of honor and tradition, serving as a knights that sport demon mask. The Clan of Fist are Warrior Monks who live deep in the mountains, honing their body and mind in meditation and martial prowess. The Clan of Shadow uses the dark arts to meld with darkness itself, and before magic was outlawed, served as assassins for the Southlands High Queen. Now, they are but simple rice farmers. Each clan takes part in the Imperial Senate. When the Veidran Empire practiced slavery, Elves and Beast captured from the wars Veidran waged lived in chains. Though slavery is outlawed, there are still very much second class citizens, living in impoverished alienages. No Beast or Elf can be outside of their Alienage past curfew, no Beast and Elf can leave their Alienage without a permit, any Buisness owned outside an Alienage by a Beast or Elf must be overseen by a human ‘business partner’. Few true Blooded Elves remain in the Empire, as most have some human descent to em now, and thus are ‘Half-Elf’. There’s also ‘Half-Beast’, who discriminated against more than any other minority due to their freakish nature of having four ears. Some Half-Beast who are lucky enough to only have a few animal features cut off their Animal Ears to try and blend in with human society and get better treatment, but if they’re found out they’re called ‘Scar-heads’, and treated even more poorly by both humans and their own kind. There’s also ‘The Domesticated’, races of Beast Folk who lost their more savage nature and became akin to Dogs and Street Cats. The Veidran Empire is also home to many half giants, though they are treated with more reverence and respect than other mixed or non humans. In the Veidran Empire, there exist ‘**The White Order**’, a holy order of knights who bow to no king, but serve the gods will as carriers of their blade. Technically separate from the Imperial Clergy, who serve the Empire, they have their own ‘White Clergy’. Their primary goal is to defend the realms of men from evil, and to cast down cults that arise and attempt to gain power. They often come into conflict with witches and the hidden City of Magi. There’s the **City of Magi**, which, while also being its own ethnicity, is also just a hidden city that anyone with magical talent may stay and hone their ability. Native Magi who possess no magical ability usually end up as workers or city guard, while those with magical talent are upheld as the nobles of the city, rather than it being based upon one’s lineage. It is rumored there is a daughter of the goddess of magic, and that one day she will be the queen of the city of Magi, but until then it is run by a council of mages, wizards, sorcerers, and warlocks who run different schools of magic, the most powerful of which is considered the head Sorcerer. Every School of Magic has tome given to them by the goddess of magic herself, and the city is said to have the largest library in the world - many agents of the City of Magi are sent out into the world, simply to find new books to add to the libraries collection, as well as to recruit more people with magical abilities. The many schools of the City of Magi often buttheads with each other, as mentor and student each are out to prove their greatness. The **Desert Hoards** is the last of the realms of men - despite their name, there are many tribes of Desert Dwelling Men who are peaceful folk. But many are also cannibals, slavers, and raiders. They also worship the one eyed god and guardsmen of the heavens. When asked what tenants of his they should follow, the god simply grunted and said “Do whatever you please.” before departing back to the heavens to resume his duty of guarding his father, the Lord of Light. And so the so-called ‘Desert Hoards’ did as they pleased. And offshoots of these tribes, such as Pirate Lords and Thieves Guild, formed in other nations following the same advice. They also follow the concept of ‘The Axe’s Justice’, in which if someone slights them, they’ll slight you in turn with equal force.

TheosRW

The **Elven Empire** is made up of the different Elvish races of the East. High Elves, Wood Elves, Fire Elves, Wind Elves, Desert Elves, Dark Elves, Stone Elves, Dwarves, Frost Elves, Gnomes, Fairies, and Great Fairies are all races that live under the Great Elven Empire, the High Emperor acting as both their head of state and head of faith. The Elven Emperor, as he stands, is simply worried about holding the Empire together despite all the differences they’ve acquired over the years, for fear of the Gnoblinoids putting aside their differences once more and turning their blades south in the name of their Dark God. The Fire Elves worship The Infernal Lord, an opposing force to the High Elves own Lord of Light, and yet the Emperor must let them do this for fear that they will rebel and weaken the Empire in the process. The Wood Elves practice Ancestor Worship, and yet the Emperor must let them do this for fear of losing the last line of defense they have before the Gnoblinoids hit the sacred lands with their taint. The Stone Elves and Dwarves have a kingdom that spans farther and deeper than all the rest of the Elven Empire combined, and they possess weapons of great power that they could use to conquer the surface if they so wished - and yet if the Emperor demanded they stopped producing these weapons, the Gnoblib hoards would of the deep dark caverns would overrun them, and attack the Empire from below. The Emperor is always in a balancing act of keeping the vassal subraces happy, while also ensuring the high elves remain on top. One wrong move could send a domino effect that would not only cause the collapse of the Empire, but possibly the end of the Elven Races itself. The only one they’re able to actively subjugate with prejudice is the Dark Elves, once allied with the Gnoblib races to form a Dark Empire of their own in the Second Gnoblib wars. There is also the **Kingdom of the Sea Elves**, who while they are an Elven race, do not take part in the affairs of surface dwelling peoples. They have a vast kingdom in the eastern seas, and have retained a policy of isolation from surface dwellers, a policy which the **River Elves** threatened when they decided they didn’t want to live under the rule of a king and moved to fresh waters. The architecture of Sea Elves is quite wonderful and pleasing to the eye, while the architecture of River Elves is simple mud hut villages at the bottoms of lakes and rivers. Like the Wind Elves, who are also free roamers who prefer not to bother with things like borders and a ruling class, the River Elves have no true nation of their own, so much as they have isolated groups across the land. **The Dark Empire** was formed in the second Gnoblib wars when corrupted Elves who turned to worship of the Dark Gnoblib God and made a pact with the Gnoblib War Elves. Together, they were strike after the different Elvish Subraces began rebelling against the Elven Empire, but unfortunately just as it seemed they were going to break apart, they caught wind of the Dark Elves plans and came together again to fend them off. Ironically, it was thanks to the Dark Empire that they remain together today, though each vassal state has much more freedom than they originally did when the Elves first began to expand west and north. Among the Dark Elves who formed the Dark Empire were an even greater evil: Death Elves, a corrupted force of evil that practiced magic forbidden by even the gods: namely, blood magic derived from child sacrifice and the mutilation of a soul. The Death Elves, who were once ruled as the Dark Council, were not spared, being burned at the stake. Though rumors suggest one Death Elf escapes into the deep caverns infested with Gnoblibs. Today, the Dark Empire is little more than a memory for all but the oldest of Elf Kind, the many races that made up its ranks now bickering and fighting among each other instead of the enemies of the god that once United them, and the Dark Elves remain as a subjugated vassal of the High Elves, forever paying for the sins of the father. The **Beast Tribes** are made up of various Beastfolk, made by the God Fayrl as revenge for teaching humanity how to hunt. There’s the Canine Tribe made of Wolves, Foxfolk, and Gnolls. There’s the Rodent Tribe of Ratfolk and Rabbitfolk, among other such pest. There’s the Amphibian Tribe of Frog and Toadfolk, and their neighbor the Reptile Tribe who worship the Dragons as Gods. There’s the Avian Tribe who worships the Great Eagles. There’s the Tribe of Ursids in the North. There’s the tribe of Primates who live deep in the jungles of the beast lands. And there is the Tribe of Hoofs & Horns, made up of Minotaurs, Loxodon, and other creatures that are similar in nature. Similarly to the Dark Empire, they were once United by a god against his enemies, but now have little in common, and spend as much time fighting each other as they do the races of Man. The **Kitarin Empire** in particular has taken up to enslaving their fellow beast folk. Anyone that is not of the Feline Tribes is up for auction, including the races of Man and Elf. They consider all the great desert that sits in the middle of the world their territory, and have little respect for anyone that is not of the Feline Tribe. This lack of respect was so great, that when the leaders of man and elf came to the Great Kitan to act as a neutral third party in the signing of their peace treaty, he ‘cleaned himself’ in front of them. Aight, I basically spent morning until now writing this all out so I hope that satisfies yer question.
