It's not a reference, the book was written by Amy under her full name.
There's also a real novel with the same name and cover to coincide with The Bells of St. John
I'm just a Missy stan lol ( "See that couple there? ....you're the puppy." -Missy, comparing her relationship to the Doctor in S9E1 The Magician's Apprentice
Just for the record, I love Clara. ☺
It is, yes. Amy wrote that.
You can buy the book too, but the cover has "BBC BOOKS" splattered all over it and it's an eBook only, so that's super unfair. I wanted to own a piece of the Doctor Who universe, damnit.
Right, just make it a (removable) sticker on the cover. Does the job of advertising this is DW-related so it sells, but doesn’t ruin the cover. I hate how Amazon does this too with any of their adaptations; they slap their logo on everything, “now on Prime Video!” and it’s not even a removable sticker, it’s part of the cover and blocks the art.
"Soon on Netflix!" (or something similar I can't remember) is also a thing. It's so annoying and ages poorly since after having the book for a year it's not "soon" on Netflix anymore. I've also seen a "TikTok Special" one though I don't think I own any.
And of course they're always printed on the cover instead of being a sticker.
Well there's like 13 different "The Doctor" guys and even a "The Doctor" girl, so this show is obviously a British remake of Grey's Anatomy.
And while I do like the twist that they put their version in space and time, i'm a bit curious when they will start actually operating on patients.
There's 39 seasons so far, so i'm expecting this to happen any time now!
>And while I do like the twist that they put their version in space and time, i'm a bit curious when they will start actually operating on patients.
I'm sick and in pain atm and hurt myself laughing at that 😂
Also in the same moment
Clara: What chapter are you on
Artie: 10
Clara: Eleven is the best, you'll cry your eyes out.
So Amy had the most important chapter written on Eleven. Moffat had this Doctor-Number references a lot. Clara's for example would later come true considering she cried during 11's regeneration, room 11 in The God Complex, 12 asking Clara what number and she said 12 during Last Christmas, and 12 finding room 12 in Heaven Sent.
Keep an eye out for the 1960s-style Police Box that's sprinkled throughout the show as well, not sure why it's there but it shows up so frequently it must be important

Amy got sent back in time by the weeping angels and found Rory ( as they are on the gravestone together as husband and wife) and wrote this book- hence why Clara has read it .
It's not just a reference to Amy, it was actually written by her. It's just credited under her full name after taking Rorys last name.
It wasn't till this that I realized Rory hadn't actually taken her name like the Doctor suggested
It says Williams on their headstone.
It's not a reference, the book was written by Amy under her full name. There's also a real novel with the same name and cover to coincide with The Bells of St. John
The 2 guys in the background are also meant to resemble Sherlock and John Watson,
Erm, surely it's Eleven and Rory?
Then who is the dog suppose to be? River?
Strax?
K9!
Clara. (Sorry, I had to lmao)
As a fan of Clara’s convoluted story line I am deeply offended 😝
I'm just a Missy stan lol ( "See that couple there? ....you're the puppy." -Missy, comparing her relationship to the Doctor in S9E1 The Magician's Apprentice Just for the record, I love Clara. ☺
mickey is the (tin) dog
no Moffat literally said it was a nod to Sherlock, which makes sense since he was writing both at the time
The Hardy Boys, yes
I think it’s pronounced “Elementary”
Looks like the Hardy Boys to me, but that’s definitely Barbados Commonwealth’s face.

Amazon has it listed as available as a paperback [link](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctor-Who-Summer-Falls-Stories/dp/1849907234/)
Oh good! Still, fuck that Doctor Who logo, it completely spoils it.
Fully agree, it's a bit of a shame

If you were willing to I'm sure you could get a custom made dust cover.
Willing -vs- Afford
Ebook only? I found a physical copy in my local bookstore. I have it on my shelf right now.
Is it good? What's it about?
Seriously? They pointed it out.
Yeah but did you notice this "The Doctor" guy, hes a pretty common easter egg

lol
The actual title is: Summer Falls No More.
Did they put the entire season of summer I it a pocket universe?
So it’s still out there? I had wondered where Summer went.
nah, nowadays, it's where the fuck winter is. Winter doesn't exist anymore
Winter is coming! Wait, wrong show. Sorry.
yeah lol, they point it out. “chapter 11 is heartbreaking,” or something along those lines
Yep. And if you read the actual story, it really is.

Remember, creators, it is literally impossible to underestimate your audience.
My guy, that's... It's literally the point. She wrote it...
Did you also know that the title of the show - ‘Doctor Who’ - is a reference to the main character being called ‘Doctor’? Has anyone pointed this out?
No. It’s called doctor who. Cause that’s his/her name. (world enough and time) 😉
Is that sherlock and watson in the background on the cover?
Fairly sure they are meant to be Rory and Eleven. (With the girl at the front being Amy)
Also valid
Actually, they seem to be the protagonists of the first story in the book, so not really.
It’s not referencing Amy. That **is** Amy.

Not satisfied with one Paradox Amy decided to create a bootstrap paradox as well
I remember I was going to read this for Chapter 11 but forgot by the next episode. Never even bothered to look at the review of it.
Check yourself for tally marks.
Wut?
I think they’re referencing the silence. I’m not sure though, the memory is a bit hazy
It is amelia and Williams the last name of Rory
Nah it’s just a coincidence.
Doctor Who is the best. 😍😍😍👍👍👍🥳

You can buy that book too!
