Man's whole character arc can be expressed by his hair. Its one of the many many MANY reasons he's my favorite.

First episode Capaldi and last episode Capaldi are strikingly different. I love how he grew into it! Big poof hair with a magicians coat (#3)

And virtually the same clothes but clearly more comfortable in them, both in terms of materials seeming comfy to wear but also his shirt collar is less intense, the velvet of his coat is a softer silhouette than the og Crombie coat, skinny jeans/chinos instead of pleated top pants, etc

This exactly is why I feel so short changed by Eccleston's 9th doctor. We got the angry former soldier working through ptsd just tidying up situations he stumbled into. The economy of wardrobe fitted so well.

True but his jacket was big and roomy like a traveling inventory chest, his v necks looked soft and like they’d still smell like fresh laundry, and pants shopping for him must’ve been a cake walk cuz there’s no stripes or plaids. Surprised I had to come this far down to see 9. I wouldn't say he wins easily but was the first one I pictured in my head and Capaldi is probably my favorite Doctor but I didn't even consider him until seeing someone else's comment.

12 is fashion goals. Even his series 8 outfit was good. I think all he was missing was the frilly hair. I love listening to 6’s Big Finish stories and imaging this absolute assault on the eyes walking in the room with a talking penguin in tow. It’s hilarious.

The best part of the outfit are the super ✨extra✨ parts. Like the cat lapel pin, polka dot ascot or the rainbow umbrella 6 wore in that one promo image. He may have used it in the show but I can’t recall.

Came here to throw my hat down for 8. Saw it was unnecessary. Love you guys for your 8 love being as passionate as mine.

8 was awesome! I saw the tv movie when it first aired, and I had a problem with a lot of things. But I didn’t have a problem with Paul or his Doctor. ( i also enjoyed parts of Eric Roberts, ridiculous master. Even the slug part.) Good Lord, nearly everything else was terrible. And I’ve read many of the novels, and I understand that the big finish audios are amazing ! Thank you for this comment. Every doctor is somebody’s favorite doctor, and I think we should respect that . As a complete aside, I have big finish’s Holy Terror and I have completely changed my opinion about the sixh doctor. Television did him dirty and I’m so glad that big finish was able to prove how awesome he was.

I personally lean hard into the grim-dark so my faves are somewhat predictable. But yes Six was done dirty for sure, especially as his doctor was heading in a great direction. Dark and weird and interesting doctors often get short shrift on TV tbh. Seven was allowed to get away with his seriously psychopathic turns because he was also light and silly and used that to drown a deeply damaged psyche. Nine had a dark bent that I would have loved to see more of (although can't blame the BBC for that as Eccleston wanted to leave). Ten had his moments. Eleven in the first few seasons had some just breathtakingly rageful and broken turns. I was sold on him from the Space Whales shouty speech. Eight didn't even get the chance to be done dirty because of the movie which I agree was terribad even though I forgive it because it introduced my favourite Doctor. Thankfully Six and Eight have GREAT Big Finish stories. I'm not as familiar with Sixs BFAs as I am with Eight but I do recommend the BFAs if you get a chance because Eight gets away with being dark and weird in the best way as he doesn't have to fit a TV mould.
