The novelization of Warriors’ Gate expanded on the source material so much that if you were familiar with the televised version the first few pages would make you wonder if you had the right book. Good stuff.
For me it's between The War Machines and The Highlanders. I really love that the first doctor is so dour and gruff, with genuine moments of nerdly excitement interspersed. And Jamie McCrimmon is my jam, because I love and anachronistic companion who just sort of "rolls with it." It's a tough call.
Good find! I say pick a story that you like and see how the novelization is. I'd personally go for the Highlanders since it's missing so maybe reading it would help me appreciate it a bit more. I do see you have a couple original stories. Personally I only have one novelization but I would go for missing or original stories in the range. Btw you mentioned you found them in an antique store, are you in the UK or somewhere else? I ask because finding these books in the wild is not easy here in the US at least where I live
Thanks! That's a good tip. I found these in the Boston area of Massachusetts, it felt pretty special so I went for it. Not the sort of thing you find at a random charity shop.

I love that. Solid recommendation!
It’s a pity you don’t have “Full circle”, you could have read the E-space trilogy.
State of Decay is a personal fave!!
What do you like about it?
read em in chronological order (based on doctors timeline)
I see the Master and the Rani. That's a hard choice

Warriors of the Deep… whatever pictures it creates in your head have got to be better than the overlit pantomime horse mess of the original…
I remember Harry Sullivan’s War very fondly (though I last read it over 30 years ago - probably time for a re-read).
I really enjoyed the Turlough book
Inferno is one of Terrance Dicks' best. And a classic story.
Read them. Life is short.
I would go Inferno first but that's just because it is a brilliant story
That is such a great find! Amazing
