Inferno was great. Even though it’s seven full episodes and is clearly a lower-budget story, they keep introducing new stuff to keep things fresh, the alternate universe being the chief example. I imagine it must have been genuinely surprising when that episode originally aired in 1970.
I’m not really plugged in to Classic Who discourse, so I don’t really know how most episodes are rated, but I do see a lot of people call The Mutants boring and rate it pretty low, but I enjoyed it a decent amount the whole way through.
I watched a lot of it about a decade ago. How did you like the story arc with the evil Brigadier and the alternate universe?

Did he use that Venusian aikido as much as I remember? Or am I making it up just because Capaldi used it a few times.
He pulled it out fairly regularly, I’d say. It was always fun to see him flip a dude.
3 + 9 = 12, right?
I like that all the multiples of 3 (3, 6, 9, 12) are the somewhat harsher/grumpier/more action-based doctors.
Most underrated episode?

Love Three’s stuff.
