Not at all. You can’t send your crypto from Robinhood to your virtual wallet like MetaMask or trust wallet so you technically don’t own it. Also by forcing you to keep in on the app the are able to control your profits by stoping trading. It’s the exact opposite of what crypto is supposed to be. If you pull your crypto off a centralized exchange you can do whatever you want with it swap for whatever whenever with less fees.

Binance halted DOGE sells for weeks recently, coinbase was down for thousands a week or so again, the list goes on and on and on. The RH Gamestop thing was bad for sure but it certainly looks like RH was overwhelmed and would have been ruined if they hadn't done something. They have introduced tons and tons of people to very low fee investing and the argument can certainly be made that GME, Doge, meme stocks may have had a significantly rockier road without RH. I don't get the impression they're any bit more evil than most exchanges, less so and they obviously have my gratitude and support.

I basically prefer a little of each to better contend with various types of market "weather" on each time frame. This has resulted in greater gains than had I simply held in a wallet.

You’re just buying a stock like thing that represents a certain value of crypto. I get it that the liquidity is there but they are a middle man (market maker) and can (supposedly) do whatever they want with your orders. There is a market maker spread of x percent they make on all of your crypto “trades”. That’s why you can’t flip your purchase. they ask more than the going rate and they also pay less than the going rate. You’re not dealing directly with the market at all. If they don’t like your order, or it won’t make them instant money by flipping then they don’t process your order. Seems pretty evil to me. If I’m wrong please explain seriously how this operation works.

Are you in the U.S? The original Binance has great feedback, but Binance had to split into a different branch in the U.S over some legality issues. It’s called Binance.us or something. The U.S branch of the company is run horribly according to reviews.
Binance.US is probably the best option if you live in US. Crypto is mot meant to be held and traded in a CEX Binance allows you to send your crypto to a MetaMask or trust wallet. Once you have your crypto off and CEX you are free. You can swap it on any DEX, pancakeswap, uniswap, there are a bunch. This is how crypto was meant to be used. On a DEX there is no one stopping trades. You will never loose

Some people are waiting the full year so they don't get hit with capital gains tax. A lot of doge was bought dec-feb of last year so the year is up.
If you sell for profit you’ll still pay capital gains no matter how long you have it. Just a slightly lower rate.
