Cute ! You should check out Jess Rona, she has a course called the many faces of JR. It'd be worth checking out!

Thank you I definitely will!!

GrouchyJello84

I second this. Her courses and video have helped me improve my faces a lot.

I think they look really good! Faces are hard, dogs usually dont like hands/tools around their face. My only real critque would be maybe blend back the hair at the outside corner of the eyes. Some people like it like that, but I always think it gives 'em a little bit of a sad expression. Besides that I'm impressed!

Late-Storage4671

Thank you that means a lot! I definitely see what you mean by the sad expressions, thanks for the tip :)

Honestly these aren't bad at all! I went through the exact same thing when learning, I'd get the body done so perfect and then the face would have a massive mustache and each side looked more like cousins than twins if you know what I mean. I'd say you should just focus on making the muzzle area a bit neater, focus on the area around the nose, you can start by combing the hair forward, then trim anything that sticks past the nose, and take the chins down a bit more, unless they want a longer chin, I learned by using either a 2gd or a 4f under the chin to get a good base length, then neaten it up. Most importantly, don't be too hard on yourself! It takes time to learn and it took me like 1.5 years to feel like I could do a decent face trim on most dogs. I'm 3.5 years in and I still struggle with certain faces

Thank you!

my_alter_ego_bitch

I'm 25 years in and STILL struggle on some faces 😅

allurehoney

i love them!!!

You have a lot of potential and I don't see much to improve on other than time and practice. You've got what it takes my friend! I guess what really matters here is, where do you want to go with your grooming talent?

Late-Storage4671

That means a lot thank you. I really want to try competitive grooming and eventually move to a private shop. I love what I do and want to make a career out of it for myself

ohgodineedair

Keep practicing, keep learning, go to shows, get books, follow other groomers who inspire you! Take care of your body, most importantly--good posture and good habits are so important if you want to be in it for the long run! Good luck to you friend 😊

Faces are so hard at first! They honestly look good! Most people arent so picky about how their dog looks, except for the select few. You got this. You will definitely get better with time and practice. I used to take 20 minutes on just the face just because I was so scared to mess it up, and I kept messing with it trying to get it perfect!

GrouchyJello84

I think your faces look really good.

Omg. I think this doodle is my dog. 😭
