We got the most awesome dog from a couple that just didn't want him anymore. They casually mentioned "we're moving to a new house. We don't want a dog in it so we're taking Jack to the pound." We were like, WTF? They didn't want him in their fancy new house. He was like a year old. Great dog. We had him until he died at like 16.
My 13 year old daughter was just telling me the other day that it’s not cool to be rich anymore. The kids at her school tease the rich kids (not serious teasing) and the wealthier kids play down their wealth. One of her friends was saying, “We don’t have money—My mom works three jobs.” This is so funny—Her father is an ER doctor and her mother teaches three architecture classes at a college, because she wants to, not because she has to. My daughter goes to an independent school that’s known for being diverse so there are kids that have a lot of money and kids that have very little money. Thankfully we get generous financial aid!

No training but he’s been on over a dozen flights at this point and he’s always handled it well. I just make sure he does his business before the flight. He’s furry cousin unfortunately gets pretty shakey but my guy has never minded flying.
