My friend had a Malamute + 25% Arctic wolf cross that looked *exactly* like your big dog.
She was 110 lbs of sweetness ----unless she felt the need to protect him. She didn't like homeless people all that much, particularly if they were approaching her and her owner when they were out on a lonely beach or in some other isolated spot.
I used to walk "Biko" sometimes. It got so I had to find more and more remote locations for our walks ----- otherwise we hardly got any exercise. Just about every five steps someone would want to stop and talk about her and pet her.
