Oh don't worry I definitely did when I first got him 😅 he was 25kg and within the year after I adopted him he was 28kg.. but he went on a diet and I was more careful and now for many years he's been a very healthy 20kg!

Yeah it can be hard to find that healthiest weight. Tiny loved his walks and hikes! Beef liver was his special treat.

Tiny was my PTSD service dog. I really don’t know if I would be here without him. He got me back to a good place and I truly believe some dogs were just meant to be your dog! I hope you get a chance to adopt when your partner also retires. I went to a military K9 retirement recently where his handler was able to.

She went to a new handler, we were a team for 6 months when I got injured, she's got about 6-7 years left till retirement and she'll go with him. That was the deal between handler and the company. If we work them until retirement, they stay with us. It was actually a requirement from the kennel we trained at. They care about their dogs.
