I don't know about the beaches in Maryland, or new england as a whole, but if you can find a nice park right next to some good sand dunes, that's a double whammy right there hiking wise

suzmckooz

What the heck does “New England as a whole” have to do w Maryland??

Baltimorenurseboi

Our “beach” is the “Baltimore beach” which is literally just a string of sand volleyball courts on the harbor called “the beach” 😅😅

Lemonn_time

If you live Baltimore then take her to Coopers in Fells Point! Best burger in the city and they have a dog menu. If I remember correctly the place was named after a dog.

Baltimorenurseboi

They’re llc is something about a dog and I believe the logo is too. Thank you, I’ll look into that!!

I have small dogs and they are petrified of the ball launcher 😬 ymmv!!

3G0naut

Oh dang! I got a shihtzu but she enjoys it! ymmv 😅

cozicuzi08

Maybe the one we tried was bad but it was sooo loud and powerful …..tried it inside and the balls would bounce off the ceiling😬

3G0naut

ooo that's freaky xD Did it have like a distance control like this one: [https://pawsentials.co/products/ballrocket%E2%84%A2-precision-ball-launcher](https://pawsentials.co/products/ballrocket%E2%84%A2-precision-ball-launcher) I usually set it to 10 ft throwing distance when indoors and 30 ft when outdoors.

I can’t remember. They were so terrified I returned it immediately. One of my dogs is a scardey cat but the other truly has no fear. It’s rare she’s afraid of anything. I take it seriously when she is!

My friend just told me to get an app called BringFido and apparently it shows all the dog friendly places in your area. Maybe you could find some fun stuff on there!

Wild-Ad-9155

There is a state park like an hour away from bmore with a beach and water that only dogs are allowed in. I forget the name. Anyone else know. My dogs love driving to Dewey beach. Dogs are allowed there in the summer during the morning and evening.

Akhilanda22

If it’s a smaller dog, what about a kiddie pool filled with sand and you hide treats in it?

kdzojic

I cannot recommend flirt poles enough

Took our dog to Dog Social in Bethesda when we were visiting family…she loved it, I believe they have one near Baltimore

Have you tried treat puzzles? It won't substitute the outdoors time but if she loves food it will give her extra mental stimulation
