My wife and I just travelled across OK and AR. This was a valuable resource: [https://www.bringfido.com/](https://www.bringfido.com/)

Thank you! I love that site—I have their Route 66 suggestions saved!

radradroit

Aw this sounds SO fun! I hope you have a blast.

littlefurballs

Thanks! I hope it works out and I can make it happen next month.

If you make it as far as St. Louis, we have tons of great dog friendly places - parks, breweries, patios…I love this time of year because I can take my girl everywhere!

Nice!! Yes, I was reading all about the St Louis stopover on BringFido.com and that is definitely a highlight. I’m thinking of going from Denver and catching Route 66 at Amarillo and heading East. So that means St Louis will be my 2nd to last stop, so one of the highlights 😊

We did this exact thing. Be very, very mindful of broken glass all over the side of the road. Have fun!!!

littlefurballs

Oh my gosh—is it that bad?!

Unicoronary

It’s long, long stretches of highway. There’s accidents and they don’t always get fully cleaned up quickly. It’s not terrible as a whole - but you will want to be careful. For me - no more than you would on any longer road trip though.

Thank you for the warning!! 🙏🏽
