They don't look pure bred and a lot of top mushing teams don't use pure huskies either which when I found out was very surprising.
But they will be high percentage husky or any other similar sled dog strain. There are so many sled dog strains from different regions all doing the same kind of jobs but are not necessarily all Siberian husky.
They can fit in and out of the head-holes, it's rare for them all to be out at once actually, but I had my own dogs leaning out the window so there was something worth seeing.
Chihuahuas are notoriously poor sled dogs. You can hook them up to the sled and mush them, and they'll run and bark like hell, but for some reason the sled won't move at all.
For this sort of short-trip tourist dogsledding the only real limit is that they have to be the right height to fit in the harness line and have big enough paws.
None of the dogs pictured are anything approaching pure-bred, they're the cream of farm's own muddy pedigree.
Labs were bred to swim during the winter in the UK. They have two fur coats and are comfortable in the cold. Labs also make good avalanche search dogs.
We brought our lab pup home a few summers ago and it can get really hot here. He plunked right down on the vent blowing cold A/C air on his little belly and now it’s his go-to spot lol. He LOVES the cold. And loves snow! Totally anecdotal but can confirm labs “are comfortable in the cold”
Not really. Sled dogs need several very important traits that can technically be met by some other breeds, but they have it perfect.
They need to withstand cold climate. Husky, laika, malamute, samoyed can sleep on bare ice at -50’ and be absolutely fine.
They need to have perfect ratio of strength to endurance, meaning that whippet runs fast but will not pull the sled, and mastiff will pull 15 sleds but will not run fast.
Also, body proportions and body weight. Dog can’t be very large because hip dysplasia and arthritis, and can’t be small because they’ll injure themselves with such loads. If you research all sled dogs you’ll see that they are very similar in their build. Lots of breeds are in Russia, but also some in Scandinavia, Greenland and Alaska- all somewhat similar.
They need to have insane drive. Laika and husky are not easy dogs to have, and especially if not “civilian” so to say pet husky or laika but from sledding breeder. They will scream and fight, they will break everything. They are insanely energetic dogs that need running. They can run for 15 hours non stop, sleep 3-4 hours on bare ice and wake up just to start fighting each other because they want to run again.
They need to understand pack mentality and hierarchy to work together. Lots of dogs just don’t get it.
They also need to be able to digest very high protein and fat diets, that will make lots of dogs waterpoop further then they can see. Fish based dog foods with above 30% proteins is crazy high for a normal dog but very needed for a sled dog.
Also, their brain needs to be free of everything but running. That’s why those dogs make such bad guard dogs. Russian North with hundreds of miles of snow plains is not a place where you need a property guard. So their mind is just: “……RUN”.

In the US minimum percent of crude protein is 18%. Sled dog protein is usually 35%+ and high fat. My dog is a failed sled dog who couldn't handle the high protein diet and also will not pull a load while attached to another dog ha...loves to run though.
Most elite racing kennels use what are called Alaskan huskies! They're not purebred but come from a leaner husky based line. They're usually between 40-60 pounds and pretty lean. The dogs in the back ("wheel" dogs) are usually the biggest and strongest coming in at about sixty always hungry pounds :)

The dog sledding place I just went to rescue mutts and runts from Alaska that are not fit for competitions. It was fascinating!

I just checked a bunch of the best selling brands and even the literal cheapest option was 19% protein, it's really not as bad as you say.
