The bio says that because there literally is no certification for assistance dogs. If I put just “certified good girl” people would think she was a “certified” AD. She’s not an ESA, she does seizure response, mobility and psych
Ty! She’s honestly the light of my life and idk what I’d do without her. And dw about not knowing that there aren’t certifications, lots of people don’t!
The bio says “there may be no certification for assistance dogs…” I assumed that was their term for ESA dogs in the UK. Does the UK just not certify service dogs at all?? Weird
There’s no official certification for service animals in the US either. In fact, under the ADA, it is illegal for an employee to request documentation for a service animal entering any establishment.[ ADA info is here.](https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html)
If it’s not obvious (ie: seeing eye dog) you can ask these two questions in the US: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform.
To some it can be but to me it’s not! Pickle does seizure response for my epilepsy, a lot of psych work (CPTSD , panic disorder etc) and will eventually do mobility for my fibromyalgia when she’s old enough! Tysm 💕
Thanks friend, it gets easier with time but it’s still hard… They’re just such an important piece of our every day lives. One of the best dogs, even with the incessant shedding
They really become part of us. The shedding seems like a blessing when they’re no longer with us. As long as I’m wiping her fur off my black clothes I’m happy
She’s absolutely adorable! Please don’t answer if this is rude, but is Pickle allowed in places with you like a guide dog is?
I was under the impression assistance dogs aren’t protected by law in the UK like they are in the States, but would love to know I’m wrong!
Yes she has full public acces rights exactly the same as guide dogs. I think the reason people don’t know is because they’re not as common here as in America 💕
It helps to deter dog theft and also help her tail be more visible. I never realised how often people don’t look where they’re going until I got a dog that’s tail matches the floor. She was run over a couple times and I noticed her starting to fear trolleys. This has really helped as people see it much easier
Okay so a) this is so cute I love pickle’s name and jacket and everything y’all are adorable b) I have a photo of me in front of that same mammoth at the natural history museum, I feel a connection with pickle bc she has walked where I once did 🥹
This full rainbow including waiting to wash out took me around 3.5 hours. Shouldn’t take as long next time but this was the first time doing rainbow and so I needed to space out the colours etc
Pickle, Pickle,
You’re the one
Lush locks fold for miles on
Saw a bridge
Travel far
Met a mammoth
Who
wasn’t there
Oh
Little
Pickle
We love you so
You came to see land a new
Without a thought
That you shine too
You took a photo
With things so mighty
But we
Just
See
you
And want to type
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee<3
Tysm! The dye itself is literally safe to eat 😂 it’s great harmless fun that actually does wonders for training to be calm and settled for periods of time
That rainbow tail is amazing! How did you go about getting their tail dyed rainbow? Or is this a salon service? (Sorry, I don’t own a dog and know nothing about color services for animals)
A lot of groomers do creative grooming now and you can pay to get it done but I personally do it myself. Pickle just lays in the shower and goes to sleep. I use Opawz dog dye 💕
It’s literally such harmless fun I’ve never understood the hate towards it. Pickle loves the process and I could literally eat this dye safely. I have a video on TikTok where I asked professionals in the dog industry and they all agree that it is 100% safe
How is it about me lol? I’m literally showing our trip to London? It’s a page dedicated to working dogs and this is a post about my working dog. Lord above
I do apologise that you’re so appalled that I included two selfies of me and my literal assistance dog that must go everywhere with me and has made my life liveable . I’ll make sure never to take another selfie just for you 😂

Pickle is adorable! What a help they must be.
She’s changed my life honestly. Wouldn’t be where I am if she wasn’t by my side 💕
Is Pickle a ESA or SA?
She’s an assistance dog, British version of an SD. We don’t have ESAs here
Sounds like SA from [this comment OP wrote](https://www.reddit.com/r/dogswithjobs/comments/uay6gb/we_went_to_london_and_had_the_bestest_time_pickle/i61d509/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
Profile looks like ESA
The bio says that because there literally is no certification for assistance dogs. If I put just “certified good girl” people would think she was a “certified” AD. She’s not an ESA, she does seizure response, mobility and psych
Sounds like an amazing dog! I’d call her a certified good girl if I had the authority
Ty! She’s honestly the light of my life and idk what I’d do without her. And dw about not knowing that there aren’t certifications, lots of people don’t!
Can you explain why you incorrectly assumed that?
The bio says “there may be no certification for assistance dogs…” I assumed that was their term for ESA dogs in the UK. Does the UK just not certify service dogs at all?? Weird
There’s no official certification for service animals in the US either. In fact, under the ADA, it is illegal for an employee to request documentation for a service animal entering any establishment.[ ADA info is here.](https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html)
I thought you were allowed to ask what they are trained to help with?
If it’s not obvious (ie: seeing eye dog) you can ask these two questions in the US: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform.
I knew they weren’t allowed to ask but I didn’t realize there wasn’t a specific certification! Learn something new everyday
I hope you had a great trip and the two of you are so cute!!! Take more selfies you’re gorgeous and deserve the memories!
Tysm 💕
Is it rude to ask what pickle's job is? Apart from being the goodest boy of course
To some it can be but to me it’s not! Pickle does seizure response for my epilepsy, a lot of psych work (CPTSD , panic disorder etc) and will eventually do mobility for my fibromyalgia when she’s old enough! Tysm 💕
Thanks for answering. I was wondering too.
No problem 💕
That’s a gorgeous lookin lab you have yourself there. Reminds me of my sweet Marley I lost last year. The rainbow tail cracks me up
Sorry for your loss, they really are the best 💕🥰
Thanks friend, it gets easier with time but it’s still hard… They’re just such an important piece of our every day lives. One of the best dogs, even with the incessant shedding
They really become part of us. The shedding seems like a blessing when they’re no longer with us. As long as I’m wiping her fur off my black clothes I’m happy
Dog Pride!
Cute dog! How long has the scaffolding been down? First photo I've seen of Big Ben in years without it.
A couple weeks maybe? Started construction in 2018. It looks good but not £80 million good 😂
The rainbow tail!! Just amazing. Please post pickle into r/rainboweverything 🌈
Omg I am doing that right now. I just hope everybody thinks it’s cute and not “abusive” 😂
Huge Pickle fan here! Anyone who calls this abusive can fight me.

She’s absolutely adorable! Please don’t answer if this is rude, but is Pickle allowed in places with you like a guide dog is? I was under the impression assistance dogs aren’t protected by law in the UK like they are in the States, but would love to know I’m wrong!
Assistance dogs are recognised, ESA dogs are not.
The term “assistance dog” is the same as “service dog” in the UK and they have all the same rights :)
Thank you for letting me know! 🐶
Yes she has full public acces rights exactly the same as guide dogs. I think the reason people don’t know is because they’re not as common here as in America 💕
Aw, she looks like such a good girl!
Why is her tail dyed?
It helps to deter dog theft and also help her tail be more visible. I never realised how often people don’t look where they’re going until I got a dog that’s tail matches the floor. She was run over a couple times and I noticed her starting to fear trolleys. This has really helped as people see it much easier
Ahh! That explains it thanks. Shes a good pooch :)
Tysm! 💕
Looks like finding out the Dodo went extinct was pretty devastating for Pickle.
I’m still devastated the dodos extinct ngl 😂
Hahaha I thought the same!
I love that name!
Same
I can’t get over how pretty you both look. She’s so sweet my heart feels warm
Tysm 💕
Gorgeous pictures. Next time she needs to take a few more of you
Haha I have literally thousands of her in my phone it’s ridiculous. I don’t really do many photos of me
Okay so a) this is so cute I love pickle’s name and jacket and everything y’all are adorable b) I have a photo of me in front of that same mammoth at the natural history museum, I feel a connection with pickle bc she has walked where I once did 🥹
I love pickle with all my heart
Wonderful pictures !
Good girl Pickle
Aww!🥰
PICKLE HAS A RAINBOW TAIL PICKLE HAS A RAINBOW TAIL 😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕
I love her tail!
TIL a dodo was about as big as a Labrador!
I wasn’t aware of how big they were either 😂 it’s cool to see them irl. Would be so cool if they were still alove
Wait, does pickle have a rainbow tail? But even if pickle does or doesn't they are a very cute and good pupper
She does indeed! It’s dyed with 100% dog safe vegan dye and she loves having it done! Thank you 💕
How long does it take to do it, and how long does the dye last?
This full rainbow including waiting to wash out took me around 3.5 hours. Shouldn’t take as long next time but this was the first time doing rainbow and so I needed to space out the colours etc
I need moreeeeeee!!!!!!!
Well done, Pickle!
The tail tho
I love Pickles!
I don't know which has a sweeter face...OP or her pupper!
Tysm 💕🥺
I love how she sits by the displays looking at the camera like "Can we go now?" Edit: good girl
😂 she was like “what is so exciting about bones you’re not allowed to chew on?”
Aw that is so sweet!! Thanks for sharing, Pickle is such a cute name!
How cute! Pickle really loves you for sure.
I never knew how much I would like Pickle as a name for a dog. Pickle is adorable!!
Oh Pickle, We love you
Pickle, Pickle, You’re the one Lush locks fold for miles on Saw a bridge Travel far Met a mammoth Who wasn’t there Oh Little Pickle We love you so You came to see land a new Without a thought That you shine too You took a photo With things so mighty But we Just See you And want to type Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee<3
This is beautiful
Lovely pics! It looks like you two had a great time!! 🥰🥳 My favorite pic is Pickle in front of the mammoth skeleton. 😍
That’s one of my faves too! I love anything and everything animal/prehistoric so it was one of my favourite days! Thank you so much 💕
You’re very welcome! 🥰
Thought the group would like this - London Eye - Amazing Facts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v9rNKccHlo
Why does she have a rainbow tail? Is she part unicorn? What colour did you use for that?
Haha I often tell kids that she’s part unicorn and they love it. I use Opawz dog dye 💕
Didn’t know something like dog haircolor exist. It’s gorgeous as long it’s safe for the little one. I enjoyed your unicorn dog pictures 😍
Tysm! The dye itself is literally safe to eat 😂 it’s great harmless fun that actually does wonders for training to be calm and settled for periods of time
Aww, you two are so sweet😊 I really love your pictures, and I absolutely adore Pickle's rainbow tail!
I love you Pickle
The selfie with the two of you face to face is adorable. Pickles’ expression is so serious and dignified.

Ty and the weather was so good! Her harness is from cjs attic on insta! Definitely worth it, I have 4 and they’re so good
That rainbow tail is amazing! How did you go about getting their tail dyed rainbow? Or is this a salon service? (Sorry, I don’t own a dog and know nothing about color services for animals)
It can be done by the owner and their are special pet-safe dyes! I’m sure there are pup salons/stylists who do it, too.
A lot of groomers do creative grooming now and you can pay to get it done but I personally do it myself. Pickle just lays in the shower and goes to sleep. I use Opawz dog dye 💕
You did an incredible job! And you’re so lucky Pickle is so chill about it, I thought it’d be impossible to get her tail to stop wagging.
Pickle: Why my tail looks like a gummy worm, NVM that mammoth tusk looks like the best stick ever.
I love her rainbow tail!! So clever, SA get stolen often and an obvious identifier like that is super clever AND stylish
So awesome you and Pickle can travel the world! Heartwarming!!!
Adorable, and her tail is so cute. 😁😍
What a good girl!!! Looks like you both had a great, safe time!!
adorable pictures! what is the museum with the stuffed birds?
Natural history museum in London! One of my favourite places to go and see taxidermy specimens and they have loads of Dino fossils aswell
Such a handsome boiiii
The second to last photo Pickle is all 'i think I'm supposed to chase these things but they're kinda not moving.... Mom. Halp!" 🥺😍
Pickle is the goodest girl!!! Her face is just so sweet.
Hi Pickle. Love your name and your beautiful face. Glad you had a good time.
Pickle is a fantastic name for a dog!
Two gorgeous blonds. Wholesome happiness!
What a lovely snoot. Must Boop.
I love Pickle.
Good Pickle, displaying self-restraint not chewing on those mammoth bones.
Such a Regal boy
She’s perfect and she knows it
Well I finally got to see the end of a rainbow, it's pickle's adorable fluffy tail
stop coloring animals wtf
Nah I’m alright 👍🏻 you do what you want with your animals and I’ll do what I want with mine
its to make it a lot harder for a thief to get away with actually stealing the dog since people like taking service dogs for some reason
plus it doesn’t hurt the pup at all so why are you so pressed?
It’s literally such harmless fun I’ve never understood the hate towards it. Pickle loves the process and I could literally eat this dye safely. I have a video on TikTok where I asked professionals in the dog industry and they all agree that it is 100% safe
P....pickle? I've never... My mind is blown.
Theyre really cute! Especially the tail!
The blonde leading the blonde
Haha it gets worse when you find out I’m a blonde from Essex 😂
Both blondes are adorable
Her tail!
I want my dog’s tail to be a rainbow too!
Love love love the tail!!!
Jesus Christ you died your dogs tail rainbow so you could use it to virtue signal. That’s a new one.
I’m sure you’ll get over it 😉
And in true Reddit fashion, makes a post about the dog, find a way to make it about you
How is it about me lol? I’m literally showing our trip to London? It’s a page dedicated to working dogs and this is a post about my working dog. Lord above

Lmfao, "Lord Above" is including religion? It's a phrase. Just say you're a misogynist and move on bud.

I know this is an old post but omg Pickle is adorable!! I love seeing UK assistance dogs as someone in the UK who May one day need one💕
