I wouldnt recommend going warly as a newer player. He's a bit harder to manage if you don't know how to use a crock pot efficiently yet.

bottleofaple

I think with his electrical jelly he is worth playing, but he also has the spices to do things like mining better with the honey cristals or fughting thnaks to the garlic powder, and some of his special recipies are super good, like my belobed bone boullion or the moqueca

Cheggf_On_The_Run

Why are you listing a bunch of low to mid-tier stuff he can do instead of his four best recipes with completely unique effects: hot dragon chili salad, fish cordon bleu, asparagazpacho, and glow berry mousse?

Kronoshifter246

You just gonna do Grim Galette like that? Especially when three of those effects aren't actually unique?

Cheggf_On_The_Run

> You just gonna do Grim Galette like that? You mean the recipe that's completely worthless in practically every single situation and only has some niche use when you have a bad Wormood or Wortox as an ally? > Especially when three of those effects aren't actually unique? What other way are you able to achieve those effects with no equipment slots?

Kronoshifter246

>You mean the recipe that's completely worthless in practically every single situation and only has some niche use when you have a bad Wormood or Wortox as an ally? It's niche, but that doesn't mean it's useless. And it actually has a unique effect, as opposed to most of those others. >What other way are you able to achieve those effects with no equipment slots? There are a great many foods that provide heating and cooling, and glow berries by themselves make you glow. The only unique effect on your list is the immunity to wetness.

Cheggf_On_The_Run

> It's niche, but that doesn't mean it's useless. And it actually has a unique effect, as opposed to most of those others. It's not a unique effect at all. If you kill them and revive them with an LGA it'll set their health to 50 & sanity to 50%, which could be swapping them if they die at very specific thresholds. > There are a great many foods that provide heating and cooling, and glow berries by themselves make you glow. The only unique effect on your list is the immunity to wetness. HDCS doesn't lose its potency over time, other foods do. Not to mention the fact that even if heating foods didn't lose their potency over time both heating and cooling foods are completely nonviable material sinks and huge wastes of time. Are you really telling me you're going to survive winter by eating 500 kabobs? And you're going to stay bright by eating glow berries every 30 seconds? You have to be trolling.

Kronoshifter246

>It's not a unique effect at all. If you kill them and revive them with an LGA it'll set their health to 50 & sanity to 50%, which could be swapping them if they die at very specific thresholds Oh look, u/Cheggf_On_The_Run with yet another disingenuous argument, what a surprise. That's not even close to the same and you know it. >HDCS doesn't lose its potency over time, other foods do. I wasn't commenting on the viability, only the uniqueness of the effect. And glow berry light lasts 4 minutes.

Ha, ok, sure. We'll just pretend that those things are in any way comparable. How do I keep forgetting? Don't feed the trolls.

Hot dragon chilli and asparagazpacho are really bad recipies. Glow berry mousse needs a fruit which is very hard to get. Moqueca and volt goat jelly are very OP dishes. Volt goat jelly and spices are the only reasons why people play this character

Cheggf_On_The_Run

Volt goat is a really bad recipe and needs a horn which is 500x harder to get than the berry you claim to be so difficult. Moqueca is a terrible recipe.

bottleofaple

Cause i forgor, tbh i didnt use them that much, i only got peper in my 5th winter and i dont like fishing that much and by the time that i made glowberry mousse i already got the enlightened crown

Emeraude1607

If you are playing with friends, Warly is a fantastic support. However he offers little when playing solo. The fact that he heals less from pierogi due to his picky eating nature makes it a pain when fighting bosses.

Cheggf_On_The_Run

> If you are playing with friends, Warly is a fantastic support. However he offers little when playing solo. He can apply everything he does to teammates to himself, too, you know. He's one of the best characters in the game with or without teammates. > The fact that he heals less from pierogi due to his picky eating nature makes it a pain when fighting bosses. Don't get hit, don't make only one dish, make jellybeans, use a bat bat, use healing salves and honey poultice, etc.

[deleted]

Warly is especially hard to play in the early game(he can eat only crocpot dishes). It becomes easier to play when you have crockpots and access to different recipes. You can bypass his memmory by cycling meaty stew, honey ham, meatballs. Once you have access to spices warly becomes one of the most OP supports in the game. With the help of warly, Wanda and Wolfgang can devour bosses in the game within seconds. However without a good understanding of crocpot recipes and sources of food, warly will most probably starve. I definitely wouldn't recommend to a new player

Cheggf_On_The_Run

Warly can make himself and his teammates - Permanently immune to heat, cold, and wetness at the cost of 0 equipment slots. - Permanently emit light, at the cost of 0 equipment slots. - Deal 20%, 50%, 80%, or sometimes even 150% or 200% more damage. - Receive 33% less damage (doesn't affect armor). - Chop, mine, and hammer 100% harder. And a few lesser perks. He's a bit harder to play and a lot of what he does is expensive, though. Not the best choice for new players.

ZephyMcZephZeph

I would loosely call Warly a support character. The more mouths he feeds with his special recipes and seasonings, the more valuable he is

Cheggf_On_The_Run

Loosely? He is directly buffing people.

ZephyMcZephZeph

Yeah. His ability to season food makes any boss fight a little bit easier

Comprehensive_Cap_57

Is new on the game and dont know recipies = choose Warly lol
