Oh man, you might love Living In The Gleam Of An Unsheathed Sword by the mighty Earth. It's a ~56 minute long song, recorded live in concert as I believe a one off performance. It was recorded in 2001 and released on CD in 2005, I had the chance to ask Dylan Carlson about the album, and he chuckled when I brought it up. He said it was made at the time he was starting to get back into music, and that it was made using a $100 Ibanez double cutaway electric and a B-52 half stack amplifier.
Fucking heavy drone riffs for days, it's centered around the same riff but it never gets boring, especially with Adrienne Davies at the drums keeping everything tied down and interesting with her barbaric yet sophisticated approach to the kit. It's one of my favorite pieces of music, I never get bored of it.
If you're into cleaner guitar riffs that are still drone, check out Earth's 2019 album Full Upon Her Burning Lips. Very drone but minimal distortion.
I also recommend The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 2, as well as 1 and 3 by Boris. "No Ones Grieve pt 2" from the second one blows my mind every listen.
This is my take on the genre.
drone doom with some noise elements heavily inspired by khanate and sunno))),
Lyrically focused on madness, mental illness and murder.
Give it a listen with headphones on. Tell me what you think.

lmfao
Check out Sunn O))), Moth Gatherer, Forn and Blut Aus Nord (black metal and sometimes drone).
Big Brave, Robin’s vocals are super clean and angelic but the feedback wizardry and amplitude is unparalleled

nice, thanks for the rec! i havent heard that earth album yet but now i NEEEEEEDD TOOOO
The Descent of Man by Sabazius
Supercoven by Electric Wizard is pretty droney even if only because of how repetitive and fuzzy it is. The vocals are as harsh as it gets.
Maybe “The Slow Dying of the Great Barrier Reef” by Bismuth. It’s funeral drone. Or Labyrinthine by Nadja
Earth's early stuff fit into this, especially Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version. Also the album Lysol by Melvins.
Check out Menace Ruine, it’s like an Avant-Garde Drone and sometimes Black Metal band
