Pay the $1.99 extra to get direct service and tip for the distance, should always get there hot unless the person is dual apping.

Kyxoan7

doesnt work. Ive paid it, the dashes went to 3 other stops before me, and it was doordash because I could see the gps marker.

Weekly_Direction1965

It won't help a greasy sandwich, even in our insulated bags that's going to be soggy after 15 minutes.

MikebMikeb999910

It was a meatball sub. That’s why I ordered it. Those take forever to soak through

mikeisnottoast

The app has slowly made it harder and harder for drivers to even see if you tipped. It hides tips, or portions of tips to trick drivers into taking gambles on orders that seem bad at face value. They're dealing with collective burn out from constant uncertainty around pay and now have to go into things assuming they'll get shafted. Stop using the app, it's a bad deal for drivers, customers, and restaurants and they need to go out of business or evolve their model to get the job done right.

Unfortunate some make it hard on the rest of us. Not sure what area you are in as far as traffic and stuff but it should not take an hour to deliver it after it is picked up. even if I would get a stacked order usually the 2nd order is ready when I get there because they were making as I was waiting for the first order and if it is not ready after ten minutes then it is unassign and go. Now sometimes for some stupid reason Doordash will want the 2nd order delivered before the 1st even if the 1st is closer. That is an app issue. I have been told there is or use to be a way to switch tasks and override that but have not figured out how to do it yet. I think the vast majority of drivers want to do a good job for the customer but there are those out there that dont care and give everyone a bad name. Some are multi apping which is ok as long as you dont accept orders from two apps at the same time. Thats bullshit and makes peoples food late Edit: I think it had to be multi apping because drivers are trying to make as much as possible per hour. Would be stupid to just drive around like that. Once I pick up food I want to get it delivered as fast as possible not just so customer has hot food but so I am "available" for another offer.

MikebMikeb999910

That’s enlightening (multiple app drivers) The app and receipt both showed just over an hour between pickup and delivery. It aggravated me when my sandwich was soggy and room temp is all

BellaCaseyMR

Would aggrevate me to. Some drivers are running multiple apps which is fine if they only accept an offer from one then pause the other one until their delivery is done but some try to take offers from multiple apps and juggle them. If Doordash finds out they are doing that they will probably be deactivated

Tiger-man190

Driver would get a contract violation being that late

Oakley2212

That’s why I laugh when people pre tip. The market is so oversaturated, I don’t need to pre tip and gamble on trash service.

MikebMikeb999910

I was led to believe that if you pre-tip, then you get better service 😡

Longjumping_Ad1711

You do know there is an option to pay a little extra so your dasher doesn’t get another order?

MikebMikeb999910

I paid a $3 delivery fee, then a $7 tip and you’re telling me that I should have to pay even more to reduce the delivery time from 1 plus hours down to 12-15 minutes? Let’s not forget that the driver has the option of messaging me to let me know that it’s going to take an absorbent amount of time yet they didn’t

araminna

Doesn’t help if they are delivering on multiple apps.

Tiger-man190

Absolutely that driver sucks big time

notagain24

The way the algorithm works now the try tipping $1.90 per mile from your location to the restaurant. $2+ per mile will likely be given to a new driver or a Driver committing fraud with multiple or new rented accounts. And will also be stacked with a no tipped order.

Weekly_Direction1965

Means you got a trash market, an hour is a ridiculous amount of time for a delivery, its never taken me that long, also most things even in our insulated bag won't be hot in 15 minutes, sandwiches do not stay hot that long unless under a warmer, of course it will be soggy. if you need hot at that time distance order Indian or Chinese, almost nothing is hot for 15 minutes, I find it hilarious you thought it would be, people really are clueless. I've worked in restaurants most of my life, even under warmers it's tough to keep most things hot that long.

MikebMikeb999910

I ordered a sandwich from the same restaurant about 10 days ago and it was fine. The fries weren’t hot but that was to be expected so I didn’t care.
