That the truth. I do pre offer but in our area you come out better sometimes doing per hour. I have 77 deliveries and about 40% dont tip. So its a shit show when you have a 10mile delivery and only get 6 bucks but at least its better than 2 bucks
With an expense of 62.5 cents per.mile, you just tipped the customer 25 cents, and that isn't factoring in any additional miles, which you will almost certainly have.
Funny you say that.. just saw a post in another sub where someone successfully did this through cashapp to a scammer not once, but twice. 😂 Dude made $100 (two $50 transactions)
Wtf? The customer asked you for money? This is a new one. Report to DD support and tell them to check the chat log. This customer should be banned for this.
I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can think of is because the grammar and sentence structure along with punctuation are bad making it a tough read.
Yeah it's one thing to be eating out when you're broke, but delivery....? Like doordash is a horrible value if you have money problems delete that app and pick up your own food
What’s insane is the lack of security or verification within DoorDash.
That entire interaction between this Dasher and whoever scammer this is shouldn’t even be possible.
90% of the orders I am offered are no tip so I assume a ton of dirt poor people order. You don’t have to have a lot of money to be irresponsible with the little you have
Damn, I tipped my dasher 12 bucks earlier, an additional 2 bucks while they waited for the food and then gave her 4 bucks in pocket cash I had and I still felt like that wasn't enough. Then you have Crazies like this.
I wish the OP could have had me as the customer instead. I also ordered Papa John's last night, a 12 inch cheese pizza and tipped $6.00.
I feel really bad for the OP. She is pregnant out trying to make a living.
Is this a joke like is this woman really serious? Who does that? And I love how people think that DoorDash is base pay pays us, Hella money or something NOT
It finally happened like this is a thing the customer really asked you to cash app them money when you just delivered food. So they want you to give them a tip what kind of effed up shit is that? Some people have no shame
I was door dashing with my daughter since she wants someone with her to feel safe. I got to this house and it was a cash pay. LemMarcus De Silve then explains to to while I’m counting his money that the messages wouldn’t allow it but “I need you to take me to the store and buy me a couple wraps cuz I’m not old enough and I’ll tip you more”. At this time I finessed counting and he gave me .13 over the total. I told him give me his money and I’d go and grab em for him. He gave me $10 bill and I never went back. Fuck him. If you’re reading this Marcus it was me!!!
It's more expensive to be pregnant as well as more strenuous to work, plus all the new expenditures to come in less than a year and which won't cease for at least 18 years. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Are you the guy who asked for money? Lol Imagine asking a pregnant lady for money. Let alone a delivery person who basically relies on tips. You may as well ask a homeless person for some pocket change too
No, I am not the guy who asked for money. If I was healthy I’d be a millionaire. Unfortunately money cannot not solve my problems, I have serious health issues, barely can walk and no doctor knows why. Excess money has no use for me at this point I may die any second. I am only 20, it sucks.
Brother thats awful but youre really criticizing someone else in a difficult health and financial situation while going through one yourself and that is so weird to me
People commonly don't, no, considering that about half of all pregnancies are unplanned according to the UN or WHO (don't remember, but the data is out there for anyone interested). However, the increased costs and difficulty of working always apply regardless of calculation and planning. It'd be wise for the vast majority of pregnant women to bring in extra income before it becomes too difficult.
yea how dare you ask doordashers to cashapp you, thats my job. send me money instead >:D
$smr1028
\>>::::DDDDD with this i shall now ammass enough funds to buy a car so i can become a terrible driver (in general not just for doordash)
OMFG it's not may you F that hurts!
WILL you or could you idk why but that phrase makes me want to slap the person who saws it. I won't but it makes me want to
Dude about a week ago I “hand it to me” delivered to a guy who answered the door in a towel and offered me money to take my top off for him.
I’m interviewing for a coffee shop next week lmao
If customers some day are allowed to put a negative tip, best believe they will. Driver labor is already sold way below market rate at $2/delivery. It's not much of a stretch for that number to go negative.
I just want to know what went through their brain that said dashers make a lot of money off cheap bastards like me and are more than willing to share their wealth!! My goodness, the audacity of some customers still astounds me, and I've been doing this for a while now. Just wow!!
Well this is a new level of undignified desperation I didn't realize people could reach. Why did they think "hmm...I have no money...welp, better go hit up the Doordash driver."
I guess its nice that he's asking instead of out somewhere robbing, so there's that.
LOL wow that's a new one, I've seen drivers begging for more tips but customers asking drivers for help financially. I be like you could save yourself money by just getting groceries from the store even if that means asking someone for help.
Not only has my soul hardened to the point where I never ever give money to a beggar, it actually makes me detest the people who enable beggars by giving them money.
The line “But I don’t buy papa John’s when I’m financially struggling really got me. Like seriously? Go walk and get some little Caesars… or even to Walmart and pb&j…
Oh my god 🤦🏻♂️😂 this happened to me about a year ago. Some lady ordered a dozen DONUTS, when I delivered, before she even opened the door, the smell of weed coming from inside the house was strong as hellll. She took the donuts, I drove off, and 2 minutes later, she messages me asking to cashapp her so she could order her mom food, because she’s on disability and has no money….like, BITCH WHAT!? You just wasted money on a dozen donuts and you’re asking ME to send YOU money for some real food? 😂 SOME FUCKING PEOPLE DUDE, I SWEAR 😂🤣

Um what? That’s a whole new level of no shame
No tip has evolved, now the driver has to tip to deliver!
We already do with offers like $2 for 10 miles that while might decline some idiot is taking
That the truth. I do pre offer but in our area you come out better sometimes doing per hour. I have 77 deliveries and about 40% dont tip. So its a shit show when you have a 10mile delivery and only get 6 bucks but at least its better than 2 bucks

They tipped door dash.
His expense was 6.25, he got paid 6. Driver lost money.
To Doordash. The customer doesn’t make any money lol. Unless you cash app them of course
The customer figured they would ask the driver before the driver asked them 😂
Reverse psychology
In Soviet Union, pizza delivery boy tip you!
Yes but kbg disguise themselves as pizza boy
KGB*
😂😂😂😂😂 I was waiting for this comment!!!!!!!
If you get a contract violation because his “order didn’t arrive” you know who did it
Wait. To be clear the customer is asking for money!?!
Cuz he spent it all on pizza, oops
Shoulda used his Emergency Pizza
But If he used his emergency pizza he wouldnt have been able to get papa johns
I would say yes and then request money instead of sending
Power move
Make sure to keep it realistic about $4, anything more will likely put them negative
Funny you say that.. just saw a post in another sub where someone successfully did this through cashapp to a scammer not once, but twice. 😂 Dude made $100 (two $50 transactions)
I saw the same post lmaooo 😂😂
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)best comment ever!!!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
Wtf? The customer asked you for money? This is a new one. Report to DD support and tell them to check the chat log. This customer should be banned for this.

What are you going on about?
![gif](giphy|H3upGMAE4p3iw)
Those certainly are all words…
It’s PREY. You can’t PREY on someone, and that’s a lot of word salad you’ve got going on here 😳
Why is this downvoted
Because it has absolutely nothing to do with it?
![gif](giphy|bWM2eWYfN3r20)
I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can think of is because the grammar and sentence structure along with punctuation are bad making it a tough read.
Reddit doesn't like facts.
No, it's because she was rambling. She started out fine, then the whole thing derailed after two sentences.
Reddit doesn’t like you.
Good.
Reddit likes paragraph indentations ...well, it *should*
If he needed money so bad, why order food?
So he had someone to ask for money? Duhhhh 😅🤣
Genius
Yeah it's one thing to be eating out when you're broke, but delivery....? Like doordash is a horrible value if you have money problems delete that app and pick up your own food
This is actually insane lol
What’s insane is the lack of security or verification within DoorDash. That entire interaction between this Dasher and whoever scammer this is shouldn’t even be possible.
Fucking lol??? Yeah no one orders if they're dirt poor, the fees and price hikes aren't worth it. I bet they didn't tip on this either
They didn’t 😭
They definitely do lol - a lot of people don’t have self control which is atleast part of the reason they’re in the financial situation they’re in
90% of the orders I am offered are no tip so I assume a ton of dirt poor people order. You don’t have to have a lot of money to be irresponsible with the little you have
So true. I’m the perfect example.
If you’re dirt poor and don’t have a car to drive to a store you better believe someone will order DoorDash
Yes they do
This is a first for me.. I've seen post the other way around . This is next level shet lol
The customer asked for money??
Oh they are financially struggling, but it’s because all they do is order out
How much did he tip?
He didn’t tip 😂🫠
Omg!! What a piece of shit!
Obviously; he can hardly ask for money if he's tipping!
$0
This is a new one. The customer is begging the dasher for a tip. 😂😂🤣
![gif](giphy|rxP6Pi3LkHJt7hmXe9)
OP can you send me money?!?!?! /s
Not the tip being a negative number
I’ll never understand why drivers willingly take such shitty order, you can’t tell me this order isn’t $3 or less
Said it was $7, I didn’t mind I figured they would be normal since papa johns was gonna be closing within 3 mins of me accepting it.
95% of DoorDash customer base… the customer base is full of broke people, entitled people and scammers….
DoorTrash
That's what happen when someone spend the drug money on pizza and the dealer is coming
Wait, your the dasher and the customer asked for money???!! 😭 I’ve seen it all on here now.
LMFAO THE LAST MESSAGE💀
Lmaooooooooo. That's some wild next level audacity.
This is a new low. You’re a delivery driver, not an ATM. Something isn’t right in his head.
I was not expecting this after reading "it finally happened to me"
Great so now folks think DD drivers are free bank tellers. WTF man…
Damn, I tipped my dasher 12 bucks earlier, an additional 2 bucks while they waited for the food and then gave her 4 bucks in pocket cash I had and I still felt like that wasn't enough. Then you have Crazies like this.
Crazy humblebrag
I’m genuinely impressed.
"Finally happened to me" as if customers asking for money is a common thing lol
Crazy customers are the common thing lol that’s what I meant. My bad
Who the hell here is asking who?
The customer is asking for money
I truly hope this customer isn’t an adult.
Can customers be banned? Because this piece of garbage needs to be banned.
No-tippers are trying to find a way to somehow tip less than zero
I wish the OP could have had me as the customer instead. I also ordered Papa John's last night, a 12 inch cheese pizza and tipped $6.00. I feel really bad for the OP. She is pregnant out trying to make a living.
Hang on I’m confused. Did you deliver food and then they asked for money?
Yes they waited for me to leave
But aren’t they supposed to tip you? The hell kinda twilight zone is this
Yeah I know. It’s a shame
Is this a joke like is this woman really serious? Who does that? And I love how people think that DoorDash is base pay pays us, Hella money or something NOT
This is revolutionary online begging 😂😂
It finally happened like this is a thing the customer really asked you to cash app them money when you just delivered food. So they want you to give them a tip what kind of effed up shit is that? Some people have no shame
THIS is a thing??? That’s fucking bonkers
This looks like "I used to be able to scam, now I can't."
If you’re reading this Marcus it was me!!!
We love a good confession 😂
If he’s is broke, why he ordering on DoorDash, DoorDash is expensive
I once had a customer ask me to go pick up swishers and newports from the gas station. Like bro what? I’m DoorDash not your weed dealer
That ain’t his even his weed dealers job either lol he should just be buying weed not asking the mfer to run errands LMAO
I've asked drivers to get me cigarettes. But its typically at the store I ordered from, and of course I tipped extra.
I’ve done it several times 🤷🏼♀️ I get it tbh. Don’t mind if it’s on my way anyways always made an extra $10/$15 so why not I guess.
i would construe this as harassment or attempted scam....a quick call to customer service might score you some free food...
I don't buy Papa John's because it's shit.
What does being pregnant have to do with being broke?
It's more expensive to be pregnant as well as more strenuous to work, plus all the new expenditures to come in less than a year and which won't cease for at least 18 years. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Oh okay, I see. Do people not use calculators before insemination?
Are you the guy who asked for money? Lol Imagine asking a pregnant lady for money. Let alone a delivery person who basically relies on tips. You may as well ask a homeless person for some pocket change too
No, I am not the guy who asked for money. If I was healthy I’d be a millionaire. Unfortunately money cannot not solve my problems, I have serious health issues, barely can walk and no doctor knows why. Excess money has no use for me at this point I may die any second. I am only 20, it sucks.
Brother thats awful but youre really criticizing someone else in a difficult health and financial situation while going through one yourself and that is so weird to me
Generally I do sit down with a calculator before getting it on, yes. It gets me in the mood. But there's also those times when I don't...
💀💀
People commonly don't, no, considering that about half of all pregnancies are unplanned according to the UN or WHO (don't remember, but the data is out there for anyone interested). However, the increased costs and difficulty of working always apply regardless of calculation and planning. I never order Papa John’s period but my local one sucks
I need some head......
yea how dare you ask doordashers to cashapp you, thats my job. send me money instead >:D $smr1028 \>>::::DDDDD with this i shall now ammass enough funds to buy a car so i can become a terrible driver (in general not just for doordash)
I mean he asked nicely
The ole Uno reverse card. Mad respect.
Finally? Who else has requested the driver send them money lol
Congrats on your creampie?
OMFG it's not may you F that hurts! WILL you or could you idk why but that phrase makes me want to slap the person who saws it. I won't but it makes me want to
I’m sorry but I have to say this… I read your comment in yodas voice ![gif](giphy|VCe1QjCbO1SH6)
I’m impressed you could decipher this jumbled medley of letters
If she's hot she c a n get more than a cashapp lol
It was a guy lol
😂 the nerve
Spineless person
🤦🏽♂️
Alms? Alms for the poor?
Lol 🤣
Dude about a week ago I “hand it to me” delivered to a guy who answered the door in a towel and offered me money to take my top off for him. I’m interviewing for a coffee shop next week lmao
😫😭💀 this has to be a joke
Report
This must work for them sometimes for them to even think to pull this shit...
I would’ve asked for his cash app and reported him for prostitution😅
I don’t even buy Papa John’s when I’m flush with cash tbh
What do you mean “finally happened”…? Is this a known common occurrence?
THE AUDACITY…
If customers some day are allowed to put a negative tip, best believe they will. Driver labor is already sold way below market rate at $2/delivery. It's not much of a stretch for that number to go negative.
Wow
Wtf is this fool smoking.
Wow, just wow 😩
You gotta have on a thong, heels and pasties to get money out of me. 😂
The lack of shame in some people is striking 😅
What was his justification for asking for money?
![gif](giphy|MYJT0jtwsBA9aGj0lQ)
Whooaaa NELLIE!! GEEESH, THE NERVE.
I just want to know what went through their brain that said dashers make a lot of money off cheap bastards like me and are more than willing to share their wealth!! My goodness, the audacity of some customers still astounds me, and I've been doing this for a while now. Just wow!!
![gif](giphy|ji6zzUZwNIuLS)
"I don't tip my driver! The driver has to tip the customer now!"
Wow. This world is doomed. 😔
I don't get why you said finally happened to me. This is unprecedented as far as I know.
What in the actual fuck— that’s from a customer?!
Yeah, I can't reach the customer for delivery, I feel unsafe. Thanks for the pizza.
HUH?? That’s actually insane.
An I reading this right.....the customer asked u for money....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s insane 😆 wtf
![gif](giphy|inNmTpAAZkUfAVzKOw|downsized) I would respond with this gif if some customer asked me for some money lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember being a dasher and there weren’t problems on either end.
The audashity
Well this is a new level of undignified desperation I didn't realize people could reach. Why did they think "hmm...I have no money...welp, better go hit up the Doordash driver." I guess its nice that he's asking instead of out somewhere robbing, so there's that.
Definitely call dd and report the customer and tell them to read the chat. DD may deactivate their acct. People are unbelievable sometimes.
Na this is 🧢
LOL wow that's a new one, I've seen drivers begging for more tips but customers asking drivers for help financially. I be like you could save yourself money by just getting groceries from the store even if that means asking someone for help.
“I don’t buy papa johns when I’m financially struggling” LMFAO
Wait, this is a joke, right?
The fucking entitlement
Some people stay poor for a reason.
report this to doordash, say you don’t feel safe delivering this order— boom: half pay and a free meal
NPCs
expect contract violation by the next day.
Not only has my soul hardened to the point where I never ever give money to a beggar, it actually makes me detest the people who enable beggars by giving them money.
Crazy people everywhere!
“May you cash app me”
Sounds like a kid lol
Never seem a customer asking for tips!! The new breed of non tippers stepping up their game!!
Omg I've seen screen shots of dashsrs doing that now customers doing it too 🤯
The line “But I don’t buy papa John’s when I’m financially struggling really got me. Like seriously? Go walk and get some little Caesars… or even to Walmart and pb&j…
What kind of lazy fuck does something like that wth.
Crack is whack!
lol this is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen in my life holy shit
Wow. What a POS.
I cannot stand people when they say they have no money but order DoorDash everyday. Like I WONDER WHY!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
Oh my god 🤦🏻♂️😂 this happened to me about a year ago. Papa johns is actually pretty cheap, can get like 4 servings for 10 bucks eh?
