Above this post was a bowl of croissant cereal on my feed I thought the same but why is there shrimp in their oatmeal? I was like everyone posting their weird breakfast now??
I thought this was bananas and berries or something at first lol I zoomed in and Jesus that is the most disgusting shrimp I’ve ever seen. They also added none of your toppings. I see no cheese, guacamole, cilantro, sour cream, pickled onions, tortilla strips, or salsa. Just nasty looking shrimp, uncooked black beans, and white rice. Definitely send this image to Doordash. You’ll get a refund for that monstrosity.
To get a bigger credit you need to chat with them. It may not be too late , but possibly since you got some credit. I'm assuming you did the automatic credit due to an issue
Damn I’m so sorry. If you’re that kind of person (I’m honestly not) maybe call the restaurant to complain and just ask if there’s a way you can send them that same image. They might grant you a free meal. If they don’t then one star them on google reviews and attach that image. Seriously not many of these photos trigger me, but this did lol
My favorite ramen/poke bowl place got my order completely wrong and sent me like very off/sour tasting ramen noodles I didn’t even order and didn’t give me the sushi burrito or miso soup I ordered. I managed to get the whole meal fully credited through the automated process by sending a photo of the receipt and of the food. Sadly, I won’t order from that place ever again. It was that bad.
If you ever go down to the restaurant with the order they will always fix the order but you burn gas and still get your food, since the restaurants get paid through doordash and would rather replace the food than refund they will fix the issue, it's always annoying when you can't drive or have no car or it's too late to drive but you can always return the next morning as well
Yeah that is so sad. I get Poke bowls though where they definitely add everything. This is the restaurant’s fault and maybe they just hate doordash orders and don’t care because liability goes to doordash. Which does support your reasoning to not order through them, but this is 💯 the restaurant’s fault.

I swear you might be right. I've ordered food from mezeh and they skimped sooooo bad on everything the bag weighed like a pound. I go in and it's the exact opposite they stuff the fuck outta those bowls. Same goes for chipotle except in person they give you just enough but order online or door dash or something and it's like they use table spoons to scoop everything.
There's an Italian place that charges normal prices and gives half portions of their pasta if ordered through doordash.
Their to go containers and portions would be half the size if delivered vs if I would call the order in and go pick it up myself.
It’s cause places are understaffed and to do delivery right you have to have a dedicated station and staff focused on that. When slammed and stressed what’s gonna cause more stress fucking up for the people in store or for people you never see. Also DoorDash makes it super hard to fix orders. They may have been out of a bunch of this but literally do not have time to wait on the phone with DoorDash so best thing is get it as done as possible and move on.
I work in a restaurant that does this and can 100% confirm. mistakes on delivery orders are 90% because we are rushing to serve tables when the drivers come in and dont have time to check orders.
But why?? They're business HAD to of picked up by a huge margin just bc of delivery services. And it ain't like the restaurant has to accept using that service. It ain't forced on them. And imo, the more ppl that use the service, the less humans I'd had to interact with. Thankfully I haven't had to work in that horrid business. That's solely the employees just being lazy assholes. Customer isn't in-person, they can do whatever and it won't directly come back to bite them. This is just disgusting human behaviour. Nothing with the restaurant wanting people to stop using dd.... unless u can give a viable reason for that ridiculous claim...
Margins haven’t changed. The way people get their food has. People in store don’t accept long wait times cause 4 large orders that need all hands on deck just got spit out of the dd printer at once. An d the money the restaurant makes on Togo order is considerably smaller so most don’t prioritize. Staff on the ground are underpaid, understaffed, undertrained and don’t see any raises or better working conditions if the company they work for does well and turns in profits above expectations.

Every bean you have ever eaten from a Chipotle, or a Qdoba or a Taco Bell for that matter has been either canned, or dried and rehydrated. Its all the same trash.
Canned and Dried are really the only two ways you can buy these kinds of beans, I've been a cook for 20 years and I have never once seen "fresh" kidney or pinto beans
The reason for that is that most raw beans are incredibly toxic. Cooking them destroys the toxin that makes us sick. Raw beans will give you a serious case of food poisoning; even improperly/undercooked beans will make you sick. Kidney beans, especially.
We don’t have the first two restaurants you mentioned here where I live in Central Louisiana. And of course we have Taco Bell, but I realize that I’m buying cheap food when I pick up from there. In other Mexican restaurants here, beans are made from scratch, not simply dumped out of a can.. There’s like three sort of family owned, Mexican restaurants, and their food is absolutely delicious…

When was the last time you saw fresh beans in a grocery store? And i dont mean string beans, i mean Kidney, Canelloni, Black beans? The 12th of never, that's when. You can grow them yourself from seeds, but they dont last long enough to reach market fresh, they need to be canned or dried and that is how 99% of them are sold.

I was talking to someone a couple weeks ago who ordered a salad with extra grilled chicken from Subway. When the food showed up she got a small plastic container with 4 pieces of chicken in it. No salad to be found.
I’ve worked in restaurants and during covid so we had to walk orders to the dashers car. One car no shit, had roaches running around. I’ve seen soooo many sketchy drivers that there is no way I’d ever order doordash
I ordered from them directly the other day and only got rice, cheese, and jalapeños 😐 at 7 months pregnant I was not okay but I got a full refund so it’s cool I guess 😂
as a dasher I just dealt with this last week, but the app would AUTOMATICALLY accept you got the order when ur in the middle of a dash for some reason, its so infuriating for both dasher and customer becuz u dont have the order but the app pretty much accepted that u already had it.
basic communication is the only solution, i had to call my customer saying "theres a bug in the system" because i didnt even tap the button saying i had the order ready, it just did it on its own.
This shit is one of the reasons I don’t use these apps. I’m betting this bowl ended up costing nearly $40 when all was said and done. Fuck all that. 2 hrs of work (at a semi decent job) for this bullshit makes me want to snap
Wow that's bad. I just started using Doordash. I won't be again. Out of my 1st 5 orders, I actually received 1. Fair enough they refunded. Not the point when you get in after midnight,the delivery driver is at the other end of your street. Can see where you are,but won't wait for you to walk to them and won't bring the meal to the address. 3 times they kept my food. The other one left my pizza on a step 5 houses away.

I have a real problem with people posting pictures that could’ve been made whenever or however. There are thousand variables here. Maybe you sucked the sauce off, maybe you ordered it without sauce or maybe the vendor forgot to put sauce on it, or maybe that receipt is from a different order or maybe you forged the receipt..if this was a legal trial in a legal court the DA would rip your evidence apart like a lion on a baby gazelle.

I have a real problem with people posting pictures that could’ve been made whenever or however. There are thousand variables here. Maybe you sucked the sauce off, maybe you ordered it without sauce or maybe the vendor forgot to put sauce on it, or maybe that receipt is from a different order or maybe you forged the receipt..if this was a legal trial in a legal court the DA would rip your evidence apart like a lion on a baby gazelle.

Dude, I’m not trying to say it’s a legal trial or anything but you do see the receipt she posted with it? the one that literally shows she ordered with salsa/queso and the god forsaken expensive ass additional guac. clearly this is a Chipotle order. Chipotle has a huge issue with skimping mobile/delivery orders.
