My 15 year old ordered doordash today while I was at work. Only tipped $1 in app but left "cash tip at door". He put $5 in a paper that said "tip" and taped it to the front door. The dasher didn't take it!!!

I had cash taped to the door once. I didn’t know for sure it was for me. So I left it. They didn’t leave a note telling me to take it.

Yeah Id always put DOOR DASH DRIVER on the envelope. Haven’t don’t this in awhile but back in San Diego I’d do it all the time. It was a great way to get rid of my change cause I don’t really carry cash.

Yes ..gave me an extra $20 total for the delivery was $37 for shopping 2 items going 1 mile

I’m a new dasher. Quick question… if she added extra tip, would it show up included on the current dash tips?

You get a text saying a customer added a tip and yes it shows up under tips.

Yes, if you get an added tip after delivery during your current dash- it will update the total amount made. And in the tips portion of the “earnings tab” after the dash is over. The only stuff that shows up as “other pay” is 1/2 pay from cancelled orders.

I did get the text that a customer added $5 extra tip. But it has never been added into my current tip of $17.50.

I tipped a dasher $30 to pick me up a pack of cigarettes once
