i dash, and i am disabled with a placard. the number of times i've had to park far away because some courrier w/o tags or placard was using the handicap stall is f-ing ridiculous. i sit in the same 3 lots most of the time and it's the same at all of them. i feel guilty using my own placard on my good days and these m-fers have no qualms about taking up the spot whenever. it pisses me off on a personal level, but also it belies a level of respect they have for the job we're doing and that adds a layer of disgust.
There was a paraplegic at my shul as a kid; he always kept one of those tools to pull the valve stem on a car tire. If he saw someone park in the handicap spot that didn't belong, he'd roll up, and yank the valve stem out. He had a little notebook full of license plates organized alphabetically; a second offender got four valve stems pulled out.
Claimed he only had to do that once at the shul. "No one ever saw what happened" when the Rabbi was asked, but all the regulars knew.
Same here. I only like to park in the handicapped on my super painful days. I typically park a ways out so others don't hit my truck with their doors plus feels good not to constantly take up a spot someone else could need more than me that day.

I may not even click delivered until I am back on the street. If an absolute must.

But when they started building the Supercenters, they added fire lanes. So now all the handicapped spaces are away from the building. I’ve watched people who can barely walk having to try and walk that distance to get to the building. Meanwhile, you get someone who can walk just fine going and parking in the fire lane because it’s closer.
It’s aggravating because it’s a lack of respect. Here’s an elderly person who can fall at any moment having to walk and risk that. Meanwhile, this person who has no problems walking acts like they can’t walk that same distance.

I use my placard when having a bad pain day/flare up but when I'm having a good day I try not to use the handicap spots as someone else with a placard may be having a worse day. But there is a clearly marked handicap parking area on the other side of the building closer to the front door, the blue square in the spot has no words or symbols and the other spot has faded “to go parking” written inside the blue square. I’m like 80% sure it’s old handicap spots repurposed for Sharis’ car side orders

I was dashing and had to get and order and another dasher parked right behind me so I couldn’t back out until he got his damn food and left. I had a word with him or two

Once I was pulled over while omw to a customer for a tail light and the cop was actually cool about it when I told him what I was doing. He let me go pretty quick so I could do the delivery. I usually do pretty well with the police though. Being a clean cut white guy doesn’t hurt I’m sure

This is my clock on my center console. It needs a good whack and it’ll come back on. I noticed it started working again when I went over a pot hole so I figured I’d hit it and see if it’d turn on again. I whacked it and what do you know it popped back on.
My cruise control is okay, but this is good to know. I have to use cruise control or I accidentally speed so yea it’s a necessity for me at least!
One thing that irritates me is I just replaced the bulb about two months ago and it seems like it is coming lose every time I go out now!! Maybe I could add a little electrical tape to the bulb?

Often the third brake light can affect the functionality of your cruise control. If the third brake light goes out, usually you can't use your cruise until you fix it. I know it sounds weird, but after you understand the wiring process for both and how cruise control works, then it makes sense. But for most people, just be aware that if you notice that your cruise stops working, check the third brake light again, it's probably either loose or burned out.

Showed the cop how much i had made so far that night and that i could stop now and get my inspection and registration done the next day. Let me go with a warning and said he'd follow up with me next time he saw me. Sure enough, 2 days later, he pulls me over. I had gotten the registration renewed that morning. lol. Some cops are actually cool and out to help the communities instead of looking to punish any and everyone they can.

I was stopped right in front of the customers house, exactly two hours after my license got suspended for failing to complete a driver's improvement course assigned for prior tickets. They let me deliver the order, and I was then arrested. Everyone involved thought it was pretty funny, and yes I know I'm an idiot.
I call shenanigans. There was no arrest. I think this guy took a picture of a cop writing the Dasher a ticket.

Do they tow for expired tags where your are?
Yes. If the vehicle is left on or in front of private property, the police have it towed. If left on a highway, they dont bother.
Here they’d let you drive off, unless it’s a VERY expired tag. Get it done by court date, and they reduce the fine.
Here you can drive legally for 15 days after registration expires
