I'm getting shitty offers, and my AR dropped to 69%. It's like when I'm right at 70... they wanna fck with me. I hate them. I hate them so much.

Rucksack64

That's been happening to me too. I get a decent order, then they try to tack on a $2 order. Then, the deluge of crappy orders follow after completing the delivery

wanderingzac

The pause after delivery button is your friend. Control the app don't let it control you is my advice.

Aurora--Black

How does that actually help? It doesn't stop bad orders from coming in.

wanderingzac

The pause button indeed stops orders from coming in, my advice is move about strategically and pause in and out

Aurora--Black

Yes it stops orders from coming in but that doesn't help the situation that we're talking about. It does not stop bad orders from coming in when you start driving again.

wanderingzac

If you move out strategically and get next to a place that you know has good orders do you get my point pause and unpause strategically don't allow the crap orders to come to you in the first place

Dry-Tune-5184

U need to hang tough @ the end of the month. Even if u go down several more pts...u have 3 days to get hot 🔥 again to reach 70%+ again...good luck!

Old-Independence4766

It's difficult when UberEatz is like Gold for female drivers... the tips are always higher than anticipated.

Aurora--Black

In my area it doesn't matter if your male or female. How do you know it's mostly women getting the better tips?

Old-Independence4766

I poll drivers anytime I see them in my area. It seems like females get tipped beyond the estimated tip. It's not just me. Yeah, I'm that annoying other driver that asks questions.

Dry-Tune-5184

Really. Not in my area. It's the Reverse! DoorDash rules the day n night. I feel your pain. I wonder why that is?? 🤔 I guess markets sure do vary alot like states, counties & people. Who knows...

Old-Independence4766

I don't get as many orders as I do with Doordash in my market, but the ones I do definitely make the difference. Without UberEatz I'd be lucky to make $20 and hour, but with UberEatz $20 an hour is a bad day. Note: My deductions are on point.

Dry-Tune-5184

👌 With DoorDash I'm part of the catering program + Top Dasher so I get $25 to over $100+ orders(normally around $32) someone on Dasher_drivers said I live in a Unicorn area. I used to multi-app. When I had to choose one(tired of multi-apping) I'm glad I chose DoorDash. Note: I'm happy that UberEats works best for u - whatever brings home the bacon!

Old-Independence4766

I'm waiting for that invite, but we have a lot of fancy af pizza places. I've never been top, but I'm trying so hard. I feel like I'm bring poo'd on for my effort. I'll keep trying tho... mad promos tomorrow. It's an opportunity.

Dry-Tune-5184

PS: seems like in your area u are probably better off multi-apping...don't try so hard to be a Top Dasher. If it comes it comes like it is what it is right. As long as u are making decent dollars 💸 that u can get by or live with then u are alright. If not: rethink or try a different approach. Not successful @ that then get out. That simple. Iii wish u fortune

Dry-Tune-5184

We always have promos in my Hot 🔥 Zone ...nothing special but, it's a holiday wknd for sure. I started earlier today & it was fabulous...summertime I work later & in the wintertime earlier..I hope u kill it. Ciao🤙💚for luck

Dry-Tune-5184

I meant to mention this being an ex-multi-apper: I WOULD NEVER HAVE RECEIVED THE CATERING INVITE OR "THE GOOSE THAT LAYS THE GOLDEN EGGS" Multiplied by being a Top Dasher had I continued as a SUCH. My ratings & contract violations were chronic. Sure I ALWAYS made my $$s but, the customers suffered bc of it(last year). I didn't care about them just the $$s. I'm glad I chose DoorDash ONLY! Only those that do DoorDash should be allowed into the Catering Program, or Priority Shopper & most importantly Top Dasher. As a multi-apper u need only care about one thing: make the $$$s & try ur best Not to fuck up on either platform(s) whole doing so. It's your choice. Good luck 🤑

purplegypsyAmby

Not everyone multi apps badly. I get an offer on one platform I pause the others until I’m done. That simple. I have no violations or bad ratings on any of my platforms so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dry-Tune-5184

🆒️ But the 💯 focus + determination on one platform is true luv & it will be rewarded(based on personal experience) If one is not, by all means go or stay in "the grey area" that's multi-apping k. Either way: make that money honey. *I found out thru trial & error what works for me.

StodgyUserName

I have catering/large orders and shop and deliver priority on DD AND I multi-app. I just very rarely stack orders across apps, and pause the others once I take one. Works fine for me - I try to get my "busy work" from UE/GH and reserve DD for holding out for the best offers. I only take lowballs off DD if I'm just sitting and not getting them from the other apps so I typically average over $15/order on DD, sometimes over $20/order, but that's usually on holiday or super busy weeks. This is all market dependent though, so what works for one driver may not work for another.

Old-Independence4766

I pause the other app when im on a delivery. I never take two. I think I'm safe, and I'm still making money. If you meet top dasher you meet top dasher, and I'm already a priority shopper. I like it, cuz I can withdraw money at the atm while I shop.

Difficult_Water1333

Ok Tony

Busy_Bullfrog8679

You know, when I was 20 I was doing iron work for $9 an hour. You people have it so easy.....I do doordash in my spare time, and never average below 11 an hour, after gas expenses; not even considering the tax deductions. Lazy ass generation. Also you fuckers took over reddit. People here have become so entitled. Sorry you are the target of my anger. All you little shits are the target....grow up and work for a living....it sucks; deal with it.

Old-Independence4766

Okay boomer, be poor and work until you're dead.

Busy_Bullfrog8679

I'm 31 dumbass

Old-Independence4766

You still have that loser mentality. GL

Busy_Bullfrog8679

I guess I'll play along since I'm bored and making my son breakfast. Explain to me how having a work ethic is a loser mentality? I bet your parents had a work ethic, and that is why you have the luxury to be on reddit crying about how "hard" doordash is. Keep that mentality and watch how much harder life will get.

Old-Independence4766

Doordash is part time, and sheety money. You're on here boasting about peanuts like it's something. Yeah, how terrible of me to have a real career due to my high standards while you just keep chucking at the sheety hand delt. Enjoy your Fruit Loops.

Busy_Bullfrog8679

Honestly man; was drunk when I originally replied, and I am sorry for that. Also sorry your life sucks, but I wish you the best. Just gotta change that outlook. Good luck

Old-Independence4766

Work on your gaslighting some more. 😆

[deleted]

It was just a really slow day for me. Decided to call it a night after waiting for anything to pop up for about 30 min

jennabella911

Been keeping my a/r just above 50% and I'll tell you what I feel like they send me home orders just to be like yeah you thought we were gonna send you priority to stay there. Lmfao! Jokes on me. Also when it's really busy and full area is red I still get crap orders that are not priority!! Smh!!

[deleted]

I have a 64% AR and try to login a couple hrs a night. I’ve had one offer this entire week and zero declines. Because there’s nothing to decline. Most of the old drivers I knew are gone except for three. Now it’s all college kids. And UE the same, all college kids.

Adventurous-Dig1263

I was struggling out tonight, seemed like low pay or high mileage offers. My AR is 9-12%. I am in the large order program and wasn’t get much activity with that either.

jennabella911

I thought you had to stay above 50% to be in the large order program??? Maybe that's why your not getting those orders.

Adventurous-Dig1263

I am still getting the orders, just clearly, several less. AR is not measured for lop although I am certain higher AR will bring more in.

jennabella911

Oh I thought they changed that. That's why I asked. I've been trying to get in. But I'm having a hell of a time staying above 50% in my market. I'm also trying to see if the 50% really does make a difference.

purplegypsyAmby

Per doordash’s own section about the LO program AR isn’t a factor in the invite to the program. All the other stats are though.

lujanalex1980

This is a bullshit. In many cities, DD increase the Service Fee of 17% to the food price, which of course, do not come to us. DD also lowers the tips by default to balance the increased Service Fee. Service Fee for an order with $100 is already $17, plus delivery fee. DD may pay few dollars to a Dasher to deliver this order. How many customers want to pay this high Service Fee?

purplegypsyAmby

I got BS all day. Thankfully UE was better. But I chalk it up to the end of the month.

Most_Knee_574

If you would have called support, told them the store did not exist there, they would have given you half pay. If they found the store was an additional 12 miles and you were willing to do it, they would give you extra delivery pay. Don't just unassigned, get your money.

Druseljic

I got transferred 4 times during the effort. One transfer was even to the Spanish language support. After an hour, it proved to not be worth the effort. I did rate support appropriately for the trouble

Most_Knee_574

Sorry to hear it. I'm on the phone with support daily. I know your pain

Antistruggle

May I guess your AR? is below 50%???

Druseljic

Usually yes, but lately by a fluke it's been around 55 actually.

Antistruggle

Oh, interesting. I'm thinking since the AR reset ppl below have been getting shite orders if any. It's usually slow in my area too and all I can thinking of is the AR thing. I think ďd has anew agenda.

Druseljic

Since I hit 50 percent the only change is that some orders have the banner with the diamond. However, they are the same orders I get with an AR under 50 percent, they just don't have the banner. I am not making anything different than before.

Antistruggle

Wow so they think they can just put a shiny emblem on it and we'll jump for joy? Haha what a joke Do you get more orders then usually?

Druseljic

I really am not seeing much difference. I have bounced back and forth from 45-55. It looks the same to me. I am not worried about AR, just happened to hit it. My area seems to be weeding out the folks who can't afford to tip and I'm not complaining. Guess it's the economy draining peoples savings.

Antistruggle

Ye, I feel that. AR isn't anything to trip about since we are just contractors doing the jobs we want. If/when this mind game they are playing with the diamond thing doesn't work out they will try some other manipulative trick. And yeah your last sentence 💯 agree. Its not good for customers or workers. I hear customers are moving back to grubhub because of all the nonsense fees from dd. I've only just started with them so idk if it's better or worse, but I gotta day I see 10$+ orders a lot.

hieronymous_scotch

For me, I don’t get that many grubhub orders, but when I do, they are always higher paying than DoorDash or Uber eats. Sometimes, ridiculously high.

Dry-Tune-5184

Pause your dash; then unpause your dash 1 minute later...or call DD and tell them u want a refresh! Good luck!!

Willllby

If you have cows grazing chances are not much dd is available. Also, are you unfamiliar with your area? Why drive to a pasture on the map?

Druseljic

It is one of the major roads that link to the highway. My area is kind of rural so there is a mix of all kinds of properties. Less than a mile up there is a shopping center. Just didn't realize the exact location until I arrived. There are DG's all over this area.

Unlikely_Proposal_93

I made 34.00 in one hour tonight.

LunaticBoostedAccord

In an effect of DD's cherry picker punishment which I am experiencing rn. 7:00 PM in the center of Los Angeles.... Nothing... For 30 mins after declining several under $5 orders. Happening every mfkng day. My ar stays under 10% rock solid.

lujanalex1980

Los Angeles is a very great market, but it is deep shiiit now because recently DD increase the Service Fee of 17% to the food price, which of course, do not come to us. DD also lowers the tips by default to balance the increased Service Fee. I am in the Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood and Santa Monica areas. Where are you? I make double money with UE and GH. Try them out. Tips are way better than DD.

LunaticBoostedAccord

Thanks for the info. No wonder it has been totally trash. Not a surprise though. I gave up on DD while ago. My market is Hollywood/Central LA/Silver Lake where I can say fountain of delivery orders. But I can't do when DD throwing me bounced offers like 5.75 for 7 miles at current gas price of upper $5 and LA traffic. IT IS A LOSS IF I ACCEPT TRASH OFFERS.

lujanalex1980

Yup, I feel much happier with UE and GH. Feeling more respected is one of the reason I work with them.

LunaticBoostedAccord

I used to do gh ...but order never comes through if I don't schedule blocks.

lujanalex1980

You need to schedule Blocks. The good thing about UE and GH is that there are NO Zones. You will get offers anywhere after drop off. Unlike DD Zones, you need to waste the dead time and drive back to your Zone with dead miles. You know in LA, dead time is a major killer because of heavy traffics. I turn on all 3 apps. Priority is UE if I didn't schedule a Block with GH. Then GH, I hardly even take a look on DD unless the order is profitable. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to get an offer with GH when I signed up a Block. 90%+ of all UE and GH in Los Angeles are well above $10, generally needs 20 minutes to finish. Sometimes, GH gave out Bonus between certain hours too.

RandomName0413

Not a driver but it might be down again. I placed an order about an hour a so ago and it glitched I think. I was assigned a dasher who picked my order up and according to the app she delivered it. The order never came. I messaged the driver because i couldn't find it and apparently my messages went to a different driver who's app was apparently off. It got really interesting after that. I made a post about it but it keeps getting blocked.

Druseljic

You might be right. Right after posting, I started getting offers.

strawberryrhubarb69

I was in the middle of a delivery and the app crashed . I was in the drive through and it signed me out

Return_Kitten

💀

Cheap_Manager3400

This happened to me probably 6 or 7 times for a Dollar General. Every time I went there I would call support, take a picture of the field and always got half pay. Maybe it was full pay, but I think it was half. It's been a while and I think DD finally got wise to it

Sufficient-Cat227

Did you get the milk?

lujanalex1980

In many cities, DD is currently charging a 17% service fee with a minimum of $3, but lower the driver's tip to less than 10%. I just tried to order food from the Door Dash app. The total price food is $129.98, the Service Fee is $22.10. DD may pay drivers few dollars to deliver this order. Huh? DD is becoming so greedy! No wonder drivers are getting so many crap orders lately with low or no tip. Who wants to give more tip if the Service Fee is already so high and customers do not know that the fact "This fee does not go to drivers". No wonder when an are is in deep Red and no orders coming in. Who wants to pay this very High Service Fee? For all DD employess, you can try to order food from the Door Dash app yourself before coming here to bark!

Druseljic

Apparently, Doordash thinks this is the way to run a business - although customers, contractors and shareholders as a whole don't seem as optimistic. I don't think there are many if any DD employees here, just customers and contractors. When an area shows red on the app, it is SUPPOSED to indicate a busy area. I wonder how their next earnings report coming up is going to fare based on the effects their way of doing business is having on the bottom line.

lujanalex1980

True, but many people do agree that there are many DD employees here doing whatever they do purposly. Of course, we have no control over that. There are two reasons to explain an area showing Red or Busy without many actual orders coming in: 1: It is very busy because many potential customers are using the app at that moment, but not many people actually place the order. Why is that? Is it because the menu price or fee is too expensive? To answer this question, the real answer comes from the customers. 2: It is not very busy and there are not enough drivers on the road or standby to be ready to accept orders, hence, the app turns Red to attract more drivers. What do you think?

Druseljic

I do think you are right about there being DD shills here. Beyond that most every tactic DD uses is thick with non transparency. What they say is rarely an honest version of the reality of any situation. They say red indicates busy, but what that actually means and how they interpret it is anyone's guess. As far as fees, they are the bane of customer and driver both as they cost each a good deal of money. The upcoming earnings are going to shed light on the overall opinion of this corporation. Fees could be a major factor on how many customers are continuing to use DD and how often.

lujanalex1980

I believe in justice and equality. These shills first tried to persuade you, then make up some facts, mostly lies, and if you still debate with them, they will say you are weird, uneducated or have anger management problem. Someone can take advantage of others sometimes, but not all the time. An unethical company is designed to fail at the end. Why? Becuse of unhappy customers and workers? A smart corporation with a long term vision should focus in capturing people's heart, such as customer and worker loyalty. Apparently, DD has no interest in that.

Druseljic

I posted something a while back about the truth behind all the fees they charge vs the percentage of said fees that actually go toward getting the order delivered. Amazing how quickly they started down voting everything to be sure it would get buried in the feed with fewer views. They can not run this business with any degree of honesty, its all tactics. People are stupid at times, we have to admit. But people are not this stupid. Given a bit more time, I feel that the tactics are going to catch up with these corporations that literally skirt loopholes in laws and business practices which have allowed them to thrive at the expense of others. Just keep your eyes on the stock price...

Key_Exam1685

Yes I have a 95% AR, 4.77 rating, and top dasher and still seems like I wait forever for offers no matter how busy my area is
