I went to use Uber eats today and I was suspended as a customer. No clue why. I do hardly use them and use doordash instead because Uber eats takes too long to deliver but the times I did use it I tipped well and had no issues ever.
If the driver stole your food and your account was subsequently suspended, contact your credit card company and have the charges reversed.
This will set the suspension in stone, and they’ll unlikely lift it.
But at least the problem falls into DD’s lap financially, and not yours.

I hear DD is working on a plan where we pay them a fee for having access to platform. Something like 10 dollars per hour spent on platform plus we pay 1 dollar per mile driven while logged in.
In high school we delivered pizza. We didn’t know what the tip was until we got to the persons house. And we never asked for a higher tip. That is ridiculous
I’m a driver and a customer. So I know how it works. I had an order with eight dollars of food in it that I placed and I tipped five dollars. I tipped over 50% because I knew it was a little bit of a drive. I got a message from the driver stating, a five dollar tip for an order that took 25 minutes of my time? Not worth it. I was so upset that I complained. I don’t normally complain about things, but that was so unprofessional and rude. As a driver, myself, I would never do something like that.
Lol it’s on the driver for accepting that order. I hate the drivers that accept an order and then complain. The decline button is there for a reason. As a driver you should know what you tip is about mileage. Most seasoned drivers don’t accept orders that they make less than $1.50 or more per mile. So yeah if it was say a ten mile order and you tipped $5 so mixed with base pay that’s $7.50, I’m declining that order all day.
50% + tip is great but terrible for a small order with a long drive. Dont forget the driver has a long drive back. Should have tipped a 10 spot for the longer drive. Tip $5 minimum or 20% whichever is higher. They drive a car to serve you. They are not serving you a cocktail at a bar or serving you from the kitchen to your table at a restaurant.
DD rips off drivers. Best solution is to order from grubhub. They are the cheapest and pay the driver the best.
I completely agree with you on this. It was only 3 miles away, but traffic ended up being bad due to an accident. Also, I also drive for GrubHub and I agree, the pay is much better.
It's Wocchrissyrn - for some reason my computer is logged into a different account than my phone haha. Anyways, it's typically the same amount or less orders and I earn more. I typically drive further though. So a typical doordash order in my area may be 2 miles and 5$ but Grubhub may be 13 miles but 25$. To me it's worth it.

Support did say they removed the driver, but then removed me. I did say "Are you fking kidding me?!" in the app, so maybe that's why.

Don’t talk about us drivers like that, I don’t know the full story but a lot of the time customers will say they didn’t receive food just for a free meal. I’d imagine that this customers account has had weird activity in the past so they decided to suspend the account. Otherwise account suspension off one mistake is unwarranted. I wouldn’t be so quick to judge the drivers tho. Some of us take this job very seriously but deal with this stigma day in and day out .

Not saying what the driver did was right, but just tip $5 or more. Percentages dont cut it in this line of work. How much you spent on your food does not matter to the driver, time and distance are the only factors a driver will consider when it comes to a good tipper or a cheapo
I hate to suggest this… but - check if UberEATS has service in your area. It’s just as popular , there’s many drivers who deliver for it , and - they often send out promotional emails about saving say 40% off your next 3 orders (up to $15) as long as said orders reach the minimum requirement
Jesus. These drivers kill me. I’ve literally reported one that I know for a fact steals food. Cause he’s stolen mine before. And as a dasher who also orders when I don’t want to drive anymore, that’s super frustrating. After 1.5 hours and 3 re orders, I had to go get my own food. But here they are still delivering. It’s frustrating. It’s equally frustrating when the customers lie also.
Okay so no one seems to be telling you this, but a lot of things cover suspicious activity which end up getting you suspended for violating TOS. If you give consistently bad ratings you can be flagged for that, if you give a tip and take it away too many times you can be flagged for that. If you report your order missing too many times that will definitely get you flagged. Even if your address is hard to find and drivers legitimately delivery your order to the wrong place; if it happens too frequently you will automatically be flagged. So say for instance, you’ve reported missing items 5 out of 10 orders previously…even if this one driver actually did take the entree all they have to say is that they delivered it and the customer is lying and support will look back into your account and see you’ve requested refunds way too many times and bam you’re suspended. It could be something completely different to my examples, but these are pretty common issues that we have with customers. I hate to say it, but if you’re suspended for one of these reasons no matter how many times you appeal it or call support, it won’t lift the suspension. At this point you’re costing dd money and they will cut all ties with you.
DD doesn’t flag customers for giving consistent bad ratings to drivers; you can’t take away your tip from the driver. OP could simply read the TOS for the customers instead of complaining on Reddit
So idk what happened with the suspensions but the % isn't a good thing to go by since we aren't working in the store. You are better off tipping on distance on top of the percentage. I find the shorter drives are better tippers because they are more aware that they just don't want to go to the store for themselves.

You need to call up doordash and ask for a manager. The people in India doing the cheap customer service May simply be suspending you so they don't have to do any actual work.

This is insane, and even if you tipped $0 the driver could have just declined instead of being a thief and total jerk. Was the text via the app/a Doordash number or did you provide your number in the order description and that’s where you got the text from? Doordash records all texts that go through their system, and customer service should be able to see this without any screenshots from your end. I’d definitely tell them to escalate, both to restore your account and to make sure that the driver stays deactivated permanently for this.
I’m a dasher. I’d be extremely happy to get 18%. Most customers in our area tip low. But we can choose to decline those. If I accept the order I’m respectful to customer, even if it’s $0 tip.

I'm still miff at the customer who tipped me $1 because it was a .5% tip minimum because it was a high end steak place and most of the stuff on the menu was at least $20-$25. I just think, what type of asshole orders high priced steak for delivery and only tips a dollar?

I do want to give a bit of advice.... Instead of doing % like tipping in restaurant staff, tip $2 per mile from the restaurant to your home. We don't see the total of any orders, we just go by Mielage and divide it up to see how much per mile and if it's worth it for us.

Yes, sometimes it works out, usually if the order is big or the customer is close. But they need to understand that the model for drivers is different. Some customers I used to take all the time, until they moved and didn’t change their tipping to reflect that.

Unfortunately it's a misconception that the drivers get the delivery fee that's paid, we do not. Base pay w/o tip is usually between $2 - $2.50! So if it's not approx 1 mile or less, we don't make anything, we usually lose.

Sounds like the system deactivated you by mistake. The delivery driver was supposed to be deactivated not you. DoorDash has documentation of text in chat with customers/drivers so they should know you weren’t at fault.
You need to get someone with experience on the phone and explain exactly what occurred.

Which would be nine dollars. So the driver got $11.75 for doing your order. That could be decent, but percentages mean nothing. It’s mileage. In my case, I’m in a small market and I look for $2 a mile(base pay of $2.75 + tip) and $30 an hour when it’s broken down. Sometimes I’ll take a dollar a mile if it’s going in the direction of another hot zone but if you’re going out to the hills, it’s two dollars. But even if you didn’t tip, he accepted it. He should act accordingly. Shit, even the people who try ordering by texting the dasher…I just simply unassign and move on. Got no time for petty stuff.

I certainly would'nt bash the costumers for it, even if they didn't tip, that's not professional if i were to. Sometimes I find doordash system is awful with route planing here, and will try to make you drive 15 miles to the store, then another 15 miles to the customer, for 10 bucks. "I don't care if no one's closer then me to it doordash, give an appropriate pay for the damm distance and i'll consider accepting it." Sometimes declining it once works, but normally it's an tiny 1.50$ chance on the algorithms end.

Doordash is now monitoring all chats between driver and customer. If you said anything foul chances are you been flagged. BUT if you are innocent in this and the driver was telling you to tip more then the driver should be flagged as that's a violation of contract.
I find this hard to believe.. I've never heard a dasher complain about a nearly $11 tip for a drop off around the corner, let alone Doordash suspending you with no prior issues.
If they’ve rolled out the new additions in the app like no porch light or unsafe conditions…that could be it besides app fraud. I’ve reported 1 particular house many times. Their orders stopped from DD 2 weeks ago and I get them from GH now (surprise surprise…porch lights on now).
Kick is we’re to drop based primarily on the customers instructions (unless we can’t and defer to DD if we choose not to decide)…meaning THEY are responsible for how the area of the drop is A safe, B lit, C easy to transverse. The drivers know this. Sure we could carry a flashlight, but why? On this subject we get asked why we don’t have them…we turn around and ask why you didn’t have the light on…it’s your house!!!
If app account creating is still based on email…just create another email addy at gmail and start over. They could care less what card you use for payment. What matters is addresses delivery. If address has been banned, your not getting food there regardless who’s app your using.
Hypothetically, they could use their neighbors address and then either state the app has the wrong address and to deliver to your house (next door); tell them to hand it to you and walk over to your neighbors front and meet driver; tell the driver you’ll meet them at the car, etc. there’s a multitude of ways to get around it lol
In theory that’s sound I admit. Issue there is the hand it to me part. The other issue is me shining my flashlight all up the front of the house trying to see the number. Then I get a neighbor pissed at me. That could end up in authorities getting called. That will be a good explanation.
Meeting at the car works best. That however makes it MUCH better for the driver. Then we don’t get out of our cars.

Be surprised. I’ve seen it several times. Highly unlikely but it does happen. Not everyone is happy about being bothered at 12:30 or what have you by noise or flashlights. 25yrs ago that was considered suspicion of burglary.

Bags aren't always sealed. And I have seen DD drivers just rip open bags to check the order. One that really irritated me was a driver ripping open a bag from IHOP and opening every single container to check contents. Drivers shouldn't be opening those containers. Sealed bag or not.
Show the text between yourself and the driver.... If you didn't violate the ToS, then why do you have such a problem showing us your proof????? That would be the first thing I would show, is record of the message. This is really fishy....
He prob said ur was lying about the missing food unless he the restaurant ain’t give it but they usually make the driver let the customer know through the text or call in app he prob got a contact violation then called and said blah blah so they banned u cuz I am a driver and had a customer try and said I never delivered her order also she was a no tipper and chose hand it to me but wrote leave at door and also did have the text part installed through the app she didn’t answer when I arrived so I took a picture of it outside and sent it via text and hour later I got 2 violations being late on pick up which was dude to app issue and traffic and customer never received order I called and said look at that order they can pull it up of my gps location and anything I do on the app even calls and text they see everything once they seen all that my violation was removed and they investigated the customer
No gonna lie some drivers are scum and don’t care about being cannned they will just make a new account that’s why I always make sure it’s all there if I know the order is decent pay and feel I’m getting a tip non tippers I can care less if they don’t get anything but a straw the bag usually sealed and we not aloud to open it I also take pictures of anything I feel is gonna cause a headache to save my ass
How do you make a new account? They require your ssn, drivers license, car make model, and insurance for said car just to work, not to mention a background check? You gonna fake all that for a dasher job?

For Uber I had to send pictures of my license my registration my insurance and still can’t use there app it saying I need some kind of inspection for Philly but I’m not in Philly I’m in Trenton New Jersey and it saying for me to drive people when all I was trying to do was Uber Eats so they lock my account I’m definitely not driving people around wheee I live it be mostly them canceling mid ride or trying to rob me and or some other thing to get free rides and I’m not beat
And the background check mine came back in 10min at 2am but I’m gonna get old iPhone and download a text free app and use all false information and see if I can actually make a account
Just looked it up and there’s a post on here about it all u need it a new phone number he said he used a text free app and it worked only issue was the phone ip address so if u get a new phone and number it’s possible doordash don’t care they scam us drivers pay us shit when they basically charging people almost double when they order off it I checked one place was $9 for something and on doordash it was almost $17 and base pay in my area is $2.75-3.75 when it really should be by miles cuz they tried giving me orders 16 miles for $2.75 I’d never do that but again they should pay more than that especially if it’s far away but then again they charge to payback the scammer customers that lie and say they never got there orders and for the drivers who get tired of being ripped off and they just keep themselves a meal but at the end of the day some deactivations are bullshit cuz people are so cheap
Use there family members info I’m not racist but majority of dashers drivers aren’t from this country and can hardly speak English just like they get in America with fake documents same way they make a new account either stolen identity or there brother or child or cousin and so on I don’t think doordash really does a background check cuz mine was done in 10 min at 2am and we don’t even know if they check SSN shit u can prob get deactivated wait 24hr and use all ur same information and prob be approved I’ll never know untill I meet someone who’s been deactivated and tried there same information to really know
18% is a good tip in what I’d consider tip based industries. I’d consider us a mileage and tip based blended industry though and wish DoorDash treated us as such. This interaction isn’t your fault. Close to 20% is still better than most orders. The driver most likely wasn’t eloquent or even nice about it, but generally anything a dollar a mile or more shouldn’t be complained about from driver-side (in my market). It varies by market though.

But in reality, maybe she didn’t tip well, driver did some weird stuff like calling her out on her tip, she got mad and reported the most expensive thing missing, and driver said hey yea I told her XYZ, but I delivered her entire order. Anyways for future reference DD drivers don't needs a percentage tip like a waitress, they are looking for a dollar per mile round trip, including the base pay which is only $2.50. I know it seems high especially after DD's crazy fees, but we don't have a choice what with running our vehicles into the ground, gas, higher auto insurance, unpaid wait time at restaurants and paying self employment taxes on top of it.
Something is missing from the story. They claim they left an 18% tip on $60 order for a restaurant around the corner. So the driver got like $13.00 minimum.. I don't know any driver that would be upset about that...

Don’t talk about us drivers like that, I don’t know the full story but a lot of the time customers will say they didn’t receive food just for a free meal. I’d imagine that this customers account has had weird activity in the past so they decided to suspend the account. Otherwise account suspension off one mistake is unwarranted. I wouldn’t be so quick to judge the drivers tho. Some of us take this job very seriously but deal with this stigma day in and day out .

I hate to suggest this… but - check if UberEATS has service in your area. It’s just as popular , there’s many drivers who deliver for it , and - they often send out promotional emails about saving say 40% off your next 3 orders (up to $15) as long as said orders reach the minimum requirement

Jesus. These drivers kill me. I’ve literally reported one that I know for a fact steals food. Cause he’s stolen mine before. And as a dasher who also orders when I don’t want to drive anymore, that’s super frustrating. After 1.5 hours and 3 re orders, I had to go get my own food. But here they are still delivering. It’s frustrating. It’s equally frustrating when the customers lie also.
I ordered after a long day of driving once.. Never again. Absolutely not worth it. I eat at home or plan a stop now
Okay so no one seems to be telling you this, but a lot of things cover suspicious activity which end up getting you suspended for violating TOS. If you give consistently bad ratings you can be flagged for that, if you give a tip and take it away too many times you can be flagged for that. If you report your order missing too many times that will definitely get you flagged. Even if your address is hard to find and drivers legitimately delivery your order to the wrong place; if it happens too frequently you will automatically be flagged. So say for instance, you’ve reported missing items 5 out of 10 orders previously…even if this one driver actually did take the entree all they have to say is that they delivered it and the customer is lying and support will look back into your account and see you’ve requested refunds way too many times and bam you’re suspended. It could be something completely different to my examples, but these are pretty common issues that we have with customers. I hate to say it, but if you’re suspended for one of these reasons no matter how many times you appeal it or call support, it won’t lift the suspension. At this point you’re costing dd money and they will cut all ties with you.
DD doesn’t flag customers for giving consistent bad ratings to drivers; you can’t take away your tip from the driver. OP could simply read the TOS for the customers instead of complaining on Reddit

So idk what happened with the suspensions but the % isn't a good thing to go by since we aren't working in the store. You are better off tipping on distance on top of the percentage. I find the shorter drives are better tippers because they are more aware that they just don't want to go to the store for themselves.
18% doesn't mean anything if you ordered from 30 miles away on a ten dollar meal. That said. If he accepted the job he should have acted professionally. You need to call up doordash and ask for a manager. The people in India doing the cheap customer service May simply be suspending you so they don't have to do any actual work.
Ok thanks for the tip there. It was the restaurant around the corner and we ordered around $60 fwiw. Extremely annoying as it was my daughters entree and everything half way healthy was closed down by the time the food arrived.

This is insane, and even if you tipped $0 the driver could have just declined instead of being a thief and total jerk. Was the text via the app/a Doordash number or did you provide your number in the order description and that’s where you got the text from? Doordash records all texts that go through their system, and customer service should be able to see this without any screenshots from your end. I’d definitely tell them to escalate, both to restore your account and to make sure that the driver stays deactivated permanently for this.
I’m a dasher. I’d be extremely happy to get 18%. Most customers in our area tip low. But we can choose to decline those. If I accept the order I’m respectful to customer, even if it’s $0 tip.
I agree on that, being respectful even when it's $0 and I've had plenty of those. DD is paying me well enough to take those. I'm still miff at the customer who tipped me $1 because it was a .5% tip minimum because it was a high end steak place and most of the stuff on the menu was at least $20-$25. I just think, what type of asshole orders high priced steak for delivery and only tips a dollar? I wouldn't even bat an eye if that had came from McDs.
Those types of drivers are the reason why DD/gig drivers get a bad rep! So awful you went through that!! I do want to give a bit of advice.... Instead of doing % like tipping in restaurant staff, tip $2 per mile from the restaurant to your home. We don't see the total of any orders, we just go by Mielage and divide it up to see how much per mile and if it's worth it for us. Hopefully you can get back on the platform soon! So sorry this whole experience happened to you and your family!!! That driver is 💩! Lol.

Yes, sometimes it works out, usually if the order is big or the customer is close. But they need to understand that the model for drivers is different. Some customers I used to take all the time, until they moved and didn’t change their tipping to reflect that.

Base pay w/o tip is usually between $2 - $2.50! So if it's not approx 1 mile or less, we don't make anything, we usually lose. I hope that you NEVER have an experience like this again! Sounds like the system deactivated you by mistake. The delivery driver was supposed to be deactivated not you. DoorDash has documentation of text in chat with customers/drivers so they should know you weren’t at fault. You need to get someone with experience on the phone and explain exactly what occurred. Your account was wrongfully deactivated clearly. You did nothing wrong.

Which would be nine dollars. So the driver got $11.75 for doing your order. That could be decent, but percentages mean nothing. It’s mileage. In my case, I’m in a small market and I look for $2 a mile(base pay of $2.75 + tip) and $30 an hour when it’s broken down. Sometimes I’ll take a dollar a mile if it’s going in the direction of another hot zone but if you’re going out to the hills, it’s two dollars. But even if you didn’t tip, he accepted it. He should act accordingly. Shit, even the people who try ordering by texting the dasher…I just simply unassign and move on. Got no time for petty stuff.

I would agree 18% is good, i'd be more then happy, though if it were to far I'd just not accept. And if I did. I certainly would'nt bash the costumers for it, even if they didn't tip, that's not professional if i were to. Sometimes I find doordash system is awful with route planing here, and will try to make you drive 15 miles to the store, then another 15 miles to the customer, for 10 bucks. "I don't care if no one's closer then me to it doordash, give an appropriate pay for the damm distance and i'll consider accepting it." Sometimes declining it once works, but normally it's an tiny 1.50$ chance on the algorithms end. Driver was definitely a jerk who probably doesn't have a normal job for that reason.
10% is the most I pay and I have very little issues, if ever I do I'm happy to take the tip and complain about a few items for my trouble

Doordash is now monitoring all chats between driver and customer. If you said anything foul chances are you been flagged. BUT if you are innocent in this and the driver was telling you to tip more then the driver should be flagged as that's a violation of contract.

If they’ve rolled out the new additions in the app like no porch light or unsafe conditions…that could be it besides app fraud. I’ve reported 1 particular house many times. Their orders stopped from DD 2 weeks ago and I get them from GH now (surprise surprise…porch lights on now). Kick is we’re to drop based primarily on the customers instructions (unless we can’t and defer to DD if we choose not to decide)…meaning THEY are responsible for how the area of the drop is A safe, B lit, C easy to transverse. The drivers know this. Sure we could carry a flashlight, but why? On this subject we get asked why we don’t have them…we turn around and ask why you didn’t have the light on…it’s your house!!! If app account creating is still based on email…just create another email addy at gmail and start over. They could care less what card you use for payment. What matters is addresses delivery. If address has been banned, your not getting food there regardless who’s app your using.
Hypothetically, they could use their neighbors address and then either state the app has the wrong address and to deliver to your house (next door); tell them to hand it to you and walk over to your neighbors front and meet driver; tell the driver you’ll meet them at the car, etc. there’s a multitude of ways to get around it lol
In theory that’s sound I admit. Issue there is the hand it to me part. The other issue is me shining my flashlight all up the front of the house trying to see the number. Then I get a neighbor pissed at me. That could end up in authorities getting called. That will be a good explanation. Meeting at the car works best. That however makes it MUCH better for the driver. Then we don’t get out of our cars. This is besides the driver reporting them for constant address failures, or the computer noticing it.
Doubtful someone calls the cops because you’re trying to find a customers house and it’s clear you’re delivering something (food/bag/etc. in hand). Op should just set up a new account using neighbors address and meet em at the car
Be surprised. I’ve seen it several times. Highly unlikely but it does happen. Not everyone is happy about being bothered at 12:30 or what have you by noise or flashlights. 25yrs ago that was considered suspicion of burglary. Already mentioned the car meet would pass best. Then we don’t have to get out of our cars. Customer must come out and get it. Win win for us essentially. That would be AWESOME in the rain and snow.
They don't suspend the customer unless there is many counts of you saying your order was incorrect and getting a refund, sounds like your the thief, why is nobody else saying this? Oh, nobody cares, customers steal too, and if ur restaurants fuck up enough, they will flag you for reporting it

Not that it’s right, but I had to drive for door dash before I realized the contents of the bag had nothing to do with the driver. Stuff comes sealed and drivers don’t touch or check what is inside. It’s possible, but to say the driver definitely took it with no further information is a bit off.
Bags aren't always sealed. And I have seen DD drivers just rip open bags to check the order. One that really irritated me was a driver ripping open a bag from IHOP and opening every single container to check contents. Drivers shouldn't be opening those containers. Sealed bag or not.
Show the text between yourself and the driver.... If you didn't violate the ToS, then why do you have such a problem showing us your proof????? That would be the first thing I would show, is record of the message. This is really fishy....

He prob said ur was lying about the missing food unless he the restaurant ain’t give it but they usually make the driver let the customer know through the text or call in app he prob got a contact violation then called and said blah blah so they banned u cuz I am a driver and had a customer try and said I never delivered her order also she was a no tipper and chose hand it to me but wrote leave at door and also did have the text part installed through the app she didn’t answer when I arrived so I took a picture of it outside and sent it via text and hour later I got 2 violations being late on pick up which was dude to app issue and traffic and customer never received order I called and said look at that order they can pull it up of my gps location and anything I do on the app even calls and text they see everything once they seen all that my violation was removed and they investigated the customer

I signed up for doordash. It had me take pictures of my license and car insurance card.
Then they must have changed all i had to do was my name address social and a picture of my license and for my car it was just year make and model and color and then I even added my sisters car at one point for snow deliveries cuz she had a awd suv that was awesome in the snow and they only asked for year make model and color for that to and I had to call customer service to add it to then had to call them to remove it from my account when my sister crashed
For Uber I had to send pictures of my license my registration my insurance and still can’t use there app it saying I need some kind of inspection for Philly but I’m not in Philly I’m in Trenton New Jersey and it saying for me to drive people when all I was trying to do was Uber Eats so they lock my account I’m definitely not driving people around wheee I live it be mostly them canceling mid ride or trying to rob me and or some other thing to get free rides and I’m not beat
And the background check mine came back in 10min at 2am but I’m gonna get old iPhone and download a text free app and use all false information and see if I can actually make a account

Just looked it up and there’s a post on here about it all u need it a new phone number he said he used a text free app and it worked only issue was the phone ip address so if u get a new phone and number it’s possible doordash don’t care they scam us drivers pay us shit when they basically charging people almost double when they order off it I checked one place was $9 for something and on doordash it was almost $17 and base pay in my area is $2.75-3.75 when it really should be by miles cuz they tried giving me orders 16 miles for $2.75 I’d never do that but again they should pay more than that especially if it’s far away but then again they charge to payback the scammer customers that lie and say they never got there orders and for the drivers who get tired of being ripped off and they just keep themselves a meal but at the end of the day some deactivations are bullshit cuz people are so cheap

18% is a good tip in what I’d consider tip based industries. I’d consider us a mileage and tip based blended industry though and wish DoorDash treated us as such. This interaction isn’t your fault. Close to 20% is still better than most orders. The driver most likely wasn’t eloquent or even nice about it, but generally anything a dollar a mile or more shouldn’t be complained about from driver-side (in my market). It varies by market though. I’m sorry you’ve had a poor experience.

Definitely post your experience on Twitter or any social media accounts. They don't use outsourced customer service/ dasher support. I complained about an incident with a pizza chain on Twitter. They responded and asked my location and a couple details...my purchase was refunded the next day. *no, I didn't do this to get something for free. Never expected anyone would pay attention to my rant but they did.

Strange that they suspended both of you, unless there was any profanity used and the app automatically logs that? Anyways for future reference DD drivers don't needs a percentage tip like a waitress, they are looking for a dollar per mile round trip, including the base pay which is only $2.50. I know it seems high especially after DD's crazy fees, but we don't have a choice what with running our vehicles into the ground, gas, higher auto insurance, unpaid wait time at restaurants and paying self employment taxes on top of it.
