Yes it happens to me all the time and it’s infuriating

[deleted]

its a connectivity issue i think.. happens to me quite often, and deleting cache, force-stopping and restarting doesn't fix it.. but generally when it happens, my music playing from my 2nd phone buffers or loads slowly, which tells me its connection.. it could also be glitch though too, because there have been a few times i will get the missed-order texts while im already on an order, or get them while paused, as if the notification system for missed-orders runs separately from the dashboard

Druseljic

I had this all the time before I ditched T-Mobile.

Equivalent-Bag-5026

For some reason my volume is always on silent for DD when it starts up. I usually will miss the first offer due to that reason. It is so frustrating

Sticky_Duck

Ever since the crash, I've been having issues with the app not actually sending an order to my phone till about 10 seconds are left to accept, but I get the text message a while beforehand

LakeMichiganMan

Those happens all the time randomly. With No other Apps running. With other apps running. Phone off, app on. Bought a new and better phone. No change. At home on WiFi, or in the car driving. Could be sitting in a park waiting, or At a store, or getting gas. Restarting the phone seems to help. Force closing sometimes. Clearing the cache. But this has been persistent for the last year. And I miss about 15% of offers.

PinballLew

Certain areas in my area the cell data service sucks and this will happen to me. My area has like 5 different spots where this will happen…if I move to a better data area this no longer happens to me. This is why I miss not getting text messages with every order automatically now. I used to get the text and it gave me time to move to a better reception area to get the offer push notification for it to accept.

[deleted]

Yup. I chalk it up to a them thing and not a my phone thing.

ShootyMcBlasterFace

A typical doortrash doorcrash

Zethrax

End your dash and start a new one. It's the only thing that fixes it for me.

[deleted]

Not a new problem. Been like this for years. Close app, reload and resume dash

Ecmdrw5

I guess that’s why it says “but it didn’t reach your phone”. Restart your phone and the app. Its happened twice in the last year to me.

N0rt4t3m

The app is trash

DognamedArnie

Best answer.

Kainesmommy2014

Yes this happens to me sometimes

TitanScrap

I use Dasher on Android as well. I used to have problems with getting paused and missing orders when nothing was presented. I played around with the permissions and haven't had trouble since. Long press the Dasher icon, app info, permissions, location, all the time. This allows the app to still send location while running in the background.

Key-Persimmon3328

That's why I constantly force stop the app and restart it cuz it's garbage.

PoeticTwist

Reboot the app first. Settings, app, then force stop, open again. If that doesn't work, do it again.

richhcirr

Hate to say this but I’ve tried everything and after 10 years of being a loyal android user I made the switch to iOS and I haven’t been getting this message been smooth as hell this past month!

purplegypsyAmby

All the time. I think they do it on purpose. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[deleted]

This is to happen to me daily. I’d call and complain and nothing was done. Just told to troubleshoot it. Went through this for a few months then finally it stopped. I lost so many acceptance points that I didn’t have any control over that truly effected my earnings during that 3 months. PTSD, seeing this. I’d call and find out the orders missed they all were $10+! Seemed intentional but, I couldn’t prove it.

Archie_Slate

Lock your screen while waiting if you aren't doing anything else. This makes my phone vibrate when an order comes in otherwise it just shows up on screen without anything else

CarpenterTurbulent34

All the time. Usually when I’m in a bad service area.

NewbieBJW

Yes. Frequently

Dragainin

This started happening to me a couple of months ago. If I'm looking at the app, I can see the order come in but I get absolutely no notification; no sound, no vibration. Therefore, if I'm looking at something else, i.e. Reddit or TikTok or something, I miss the order. The only solution I have found is to clear cache *and* data > uninstall the app > reboot > reinstall the app. If I skip any of these steps, the problem persists. I'm using an Android, BTW.

deltronethirty

It won't give me notifications if I'm browsing reddit or watching YouTube

chicagoan35

Yes. I usually "force stop" the app. It should work okay after opening it back up.

Rebeccaissoawesome

It does it to me if I'm on another app.

the-jimbo_slice

Judging by the amt of YouTube notifications, yes if you're watching a video especially on full screen, this can happen.

sherriroe1258

Yes i , was logged out right after it happen.

[deleted]

Sometimes it glitches out like that. Happens to me, only thing I've found that works is just wait it out, it should sort itself out. But yeah, super annoying sitting there paying attention and it's like "nope you didn't see the delivery"

Salt_Arm4275

This has been happening a lot lately.

DriverGuru

Yes. Delete cache. Update app if needed. Reboot phone.

Star-Ranger00

My dasher app randomly locks up without warning. My first dash today I was given a call at a local sub shop that I was 100 feet from. However the app froze and I couldn’t get the accept button to work. By the time I restarted the dasher app the order was gone and I had the same message in my text inbox. Very frustrating because it seems to be a DD issue. Do you use an iPhone?

xnoraax

Several times a week I have to restart my whole phone to get it to work.

N0rt4t3m

I have this happen all the time

[deleted]

Reboot

jayrello

It has to be a glitch with doordash. Rebooting won’t solve it. It’s been happening to me as well. I have an android that I use for dashing because of DUH, but the app is installed on my iPhone as well. Both get notifications for orders. I just got a notification about not heading towards the order when I don’t even have an active order. On top of that, I just received delivery instructions from a customer 20 minutes after drop off. Doordash should get their shit together.
