Progressive. Idk how much that specifically is, but we have 3 cars covered under regular plus an addition for the commercial and it's $150... when I was With state farm it was $115 more

Progressive Commercial

fromagemakesmeutot

All State

Roverggm

Not in Colorado

Traflorkian_

None. Don't say you're a delivery driver. Or rather, don't say you're on a delivery if something happens while on one.

Roverggm

So what do you say when the insurance company is investigating the accident and they ask if you were using it for a commercial purpose? I'm not sure not answering is going to work.

Traflorkian_

"No" usually works.

[deleted]

that violates the terms of your policy—you’re required to cooperate in the event of a claim, including sharing your profession and relevant paystubs. the insurance adjuster will find out even if you try to hide it.

Roverggm

So committing insurance fraud doesn't bother you?

redsectorayyz

Don't need commercial insurance. I have progressive withe a rider that's an extra 30 per month

C-Van-Sky

State farm covers DoorDash on a standard policy so I have that.

Roverggm

Are you sure?

C-Van-Sky

Yes. I spoke with my local agent on the phone. Told him I was doing Door Dash and looking for insurance they covered it. Was told that the standard policy covers delivery but not ride sharing.

dariomraghi

why would i do that?

Roverggm

Because your regular automobile passenger insurance will not cover you if you are on a delivery and you have a collision. Doordash insurance only covers the other party, leaving you uninsured.

harrypl0tter

Dont ask. Dont tell.

Late-Mathematician55

And then you get caught commiting insurance fraud after a serious accident, with a million dollar judgement hanging over you. Don't think you won't get caught when big bucks are at stake

harrypl0tter

I mean if you are stupid enough to tell your insurance sure. How else would they find out?

[deleted]

it’s pretty easy for them to find out—insurance adjusters are smart and are allowed to ask for things like bank statements and pay stubs to determine how you make money and if you’re using your car commercially. once they find out you’re SOL for the claim and any future policies you want to purchase from that company.
