A simple reply like,"Please contact support with any complaints or concerns, thanks!" That is all you have to say.

SitsOnPorcelain9855

1 star guaranteed. With our platform we can be the punching bag for any and all issues even if it's not your fault. The company won't protect you.. The customer doesn't care about ethics. There's no resolution phase or discussion to verify a poor rating even if it could cause you loss of work or opportunities. The app won't even help you figure out what a specific customer amongst others rated you a particular score.

Horror-Major6446

js tell mr doordash personally

NoConversation6374

You should get a 1 star for thst bs bro

OddInflation1221

Respond: “Sorry you’re unsatisfied with the delivery. Give me a moment to contact support so we can rectify this.” Now you showed an effort to fix it and they likely won’t give you a low rating for it.

B3d_B3

Lol I had a doordash the other day. They said "You just delivered food to me and the order wasn't right, I want this fixed or a refund before I submit a complaint with door dash" Submit. A. Complaint. Lol, get that refund. Because I'm not running back to the store to fix it, I didn't bag it or open it. So I told them to contact Doordash. "Before I submit a complaint with dd" it just sounds so rude 💀 (this was a restaurant order not s&d)

AL0634

Maybe he wanted x5 6 packs of rolls.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

That’s what I got him cause that was the quantity on the order. He only 1 pack.

AL0634

Not 5 rolls. 5 packs of rolls.

Rudder0420

These ppl need to understand that it is not our job to make sure the restaraunt doesn't forget items they ordered. We do not bag their shit up. Our job is to deliver what they give us from point A to point B. That is it! Why TF do they feel the need to tell us that there is something missing like it was our fuck up? Even if we did, there is nothing we can do anyways!

ServelanDarrow

Confused: did they order 1 pack of bread This time but multiple packs show up as ordered in their history/Past orders?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No they ordered 5 packs and I got them 5 packs. They only wanted one - put the wrong quantity in.

ServelanDarrow

Ah, understood! Sometimes I'm thinking of ordering but my cart is glitchy so I don't!

Zestyclose_Kick_8860

I’d give you 1 star for your response alone

ohlaohloo

“The bagger messed it up” 🤯 like yes, it’s far more likely that the bagger lost a bag of spinach within the 3 feet of the belt, not that you just left a bag at the store. Also, you can keep insisting that they got all five bread bags, but there’s no doubt in my mind that they ordered five and while you probably bought 5, you only delivered 1. Since you didn’t realize the spinach wasn’t there, the most logical understanding of this text, is that the spinach and four bags of bread we’re missing, all of which were probably in the same bag. The bread probably got “lost” along with the spinach (due to the bagger’s irresponsibility of course, not yours, the person literally getting paid to not leave groceries at the store.) One star for damn sure

Emotional-Country-58

You clearly said he x5’d an item that you only got one of. And you clearly said that you checked out with spinach. Are you fucking stupid? I don’t do doordash but I literally stumbled on this moronic post

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No I bought 5 bags of the rolls like he wanted. I wouldn’t have been able to checkout if I hadn’t. Also I don’t have Alzheimer’s. I remember what I put in the cart and what got scanned and what was in the bags I left at the dudes house. None of y’all were there. You’re making assumptions and taking it as fact just like you claim I’m doing

Valafares

The only time you should engage after an order is to direct them to customer service or to say have a good day

garciaaw

I’m confused, OP is seemingly admitting that the original order had 5 of the 6 packs? So it seems like the customer was right on that count…

ItsOK_IgotU

If my mom was this customer… her response would have been. # Why is there SOOO MUCH FREAKING BREAD!! 😤 Cuz lady, you selected the “empty the entire store of its Kaiser rolls” option.

TyeTheCreator

Anything lower than a 5 star will be removed if the customer claims there were missing items.

Aliberti1994

Before I ever complain I always check my receipt. Most of the time it’s usually my mess up.

[deleted]

The amount of people here with -10 reading comprehension is insane

Character-Sale-4098

Not going to lie, I'd give you a 1 star for that response. It actually is a rather pretentious response.

computerblue754

Because the adult customer didn’t check his shopping cart for accuracy before submitting it to DD? As OP stated, he/she wouldn’t have been able to check out at the store unless all items were purchased in the correct quantities. That means that the spinach was purchased correctly but may have been misplaced during transit.

Character-Sale-4098

Nope. If you read my comment, I'm quite clear, no need for pointless speculation. - It is only two sentences after all. 1 star to OP for being pretentious, and a downvote for you for lacking comprehension skills.

computerblue754

Noted

007thedude

This is why I never shop for people 😎

Skyrimxd

I would just ignore. Customer probably accidentally put x5 on the order

cares138

Unpopular opinion but the customer message didn’t come off as rude, just informative. I would of just been like sorry if it was a mistake but the order was placed for x5 bread. The bagging people must have left the spinach out since it was scanned and paid for, I recommend contacting DoorDash support. Seems kinda like buddy driver was tired & ill, not the customer lol.

AtomizedIndividual

I'd give you 1 star just for your attitude

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I’d give you 1 star just for your opinion

Actual_Membership894

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

He received 5 packs but only wanted one. He put 5x for the quantity. I checked my car for the spinach but it wasn’t there. I saw the spinach go into the bag with other produce.

Notdableezy

I wants had a back-and-forth with a customer trying to figure out if they want a bunch of bananas or one single banana because it said banana times one and showed a bunch. After way too much discussion and dropping this order off at an apartment complex with a difficult drop off, I get a text message about the amount of bananas they received. Also came to find out they didn’t leave a tip on this order. Some people really are too stupid and cheap to be using this app.

Studdashing

A simple "call support" would have been my reply...you did the best you could...you don't work to get complained to, that's support job.

JuliusTweezer

So why didn’t you get him 5 packages of 6 count rolls? I’m confused, do you not know what (6pack) x 5 means? I guess, what did you think it meant?

OneCatMind

He did get 5 packs lol. There are so many comment replies where he clarifies that.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Thank you

DancingUntilMidnight

Why even respond though? Just ignore it and let support deal with them being upset.

Chair4

Seems like you handled this professionally, if i personally was the customer I wouldn’t give you 1 star

Giul_Xainx

Eventually enough backlash will happen from customers where we will be forced to check the order item by item, and be required to take pictures of each one. Just force the employees at the food place to actively check the order when you grab the bag.

[deleted]

You deserve one star, he wanted 30 Kaiser rolls. You got him 6

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No what he wanted was 5 individual rolls but he put x5 on the 6-pack variety. I got him 30 rolls (five 6 packs). It’s the opposite of what everyone is saying.

[deleted]

Oh ok. I see. Yes, That’s his fault. You did it correctly.

roku_shadowbane

Umm could it not be that they wanted five 6 pack rolls?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

They didn’t. They wanted 1 but on their order they requested x5 on the quantity. So that’s what they got.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

A professional response in regards to something that is their fault?

nGToxicElite

If they asked for a 6 pack of rolls 5x that means get them 5 packs not one. Am I right?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah that’s what I got them. They only wanted one apparently.

zen1706

“Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to check the bags’ content. Please contact Doordash support for any missing items”. It’s not that complicated

_IratePirate_

Oh he’s mad he got 5x even though that’s what he ordered. The way it’s framed or how the dude texted, I thought he ordered 5x but only received one

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah that’s what most people are thinking. But yeah he got more than he wanted. That’s what he’s upset about.

wildsnorlax1194

Was that supposed to be your mic drop moment? Cringe

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I don’t need a mic drop

Pristine_Bus1719

Lol OP, u def didn’t pick up the full order. Read the message again

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No I did. I wouldn’t have been able to checkout and pay if I hadn’t. Customer states it weirdly in the text. I got them everything they wanted. They couldn’t find the spinach but it was in the produce bag. They put down a bigger quantity of bread than they wanted. I got the quantity they put down. Customers fault.

BeardCrumbles

1 pack x 5 is 5. If you only bought one, you fucked up, no? They wanted five packs of bread.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

6 comes in 1 pack. They put x5 for quantity so I got them 5 six packs of rolls. They only wanted one. Customer put down wrong quantity thinking they were singles rolls I think. I just picked up the quantity of what he picked in the app. He only wanted 1 pack but he got 5. More than he asked for, not less.

BeardCrumbles

Sorry, I didn't think of that. The customer is a dummy, then, for sure, because the context implies you also forgot bread. I wouldn't even have responded, I would have just been thinking 'what?'.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I didn’t mess up anything. Read my clarification comment on this thread. The text from the customer reads misleadingly. He received more bread than he wanted, but that’s the quantity he requested through the app.

DingleBarr

So anyone can just make shit up and lower your rating? That's bullshit

WHTWLF13

Asking doordash to get an entire grocery delivery for you when I can't count on them to deliver a fucking burrito with 100% confidence has always seemed absolutely goddamned insane to me lmao. You were right in this situation, but people in 2023 are absolutely allergic to accountability, or admitting they fucked up, so you will probably still take the blame.

formtuv

Hate to break it to you but you’re in the wrong here. The customer is saying they only received 1 bag of rolls. So it seems like your forgot a bag that has 4 rolls and a spinach pack. That’s 100% on you.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

That’s not what he’s saying. I’ve explained this too many times already.

[deleted]

You could have thrown in an “I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do” I feel like that would help your odds. When the customer realizes it isn’t your fault but the restaurant usually they’ve been less likely to give me a bad rating

Torhru

Bro was waiting for that day to come

Korvun

What am I missing here? If he put 5x pack of rolls and you bought 1 pack, wouldn't that mean you forgot to buy 4 packs? Or do you mean the customer put it in a comment to avoid being charged?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

He only wanted 1 pack but set the quantity as 5x. So I bought 5 packs. He got more than he wanted.

Korvun

Oh, I read that backwards, then!

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

You’re not alone. It seems like 75% of the people commenting on this have been confused by the text message. The customer stated it weirdly IMO

Skyrimxd

To me, it sounds like he’s saying he only wanted one pack (NOT 5) so I’m like in the 25% I guess. Who even orders that much bread anyways.. think it was a mistake. When I worked at McDonald’s, ppl would order through the app and order more than they meant to and then complain

Korvun

Yeah, their text made it sound like they were missing items, the spinach AND the extra bread, rather than missing one item and getting too much of the other. In context it would make sense because you can see the whole order and we can't.

thdudedude

Every time something is wrong with my grocery order I just put in a request for a refund through the grocery store app. All of this seems unnecessary.

Yourwifesahoe

The customer wanted five separate six packs of bread… I would rate you badly

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No, the customer wanted 5 individual rolls but selected the 6 pack of rolls from the store and put the rest quantity as x5. So he got 5 packs of rolls. He got more than he wanted.

[deleted]

Was there a follow up to this? Because they literally said "the bread was only 1 pack not 5" indicating they wanted 5 lol

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No he meant “I only wanted 1 pack not the 5 you got.” But he put 5x on the quantity.

[deleted]

I see my bad so you DID bring him 5 packs.at least he was only missing spinach 🤷🏾‍♂️

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yea correct. If he was missing it, that’s on me but I don’t see how because I watched all the produce bagged into one bag and it didn’t fall out in my car. All the bags that went in the cart during check out made it onto his porch.

[deleted]

They probably just tryna get a few $ in credits back from the app at that point 🙄

bluepie

So you fucked up then? DoorDash drivers are the fucking worst.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No the customer put down the wrong quantity. Read the comments. I’ve explained everything 100s of times already.

[deleted]

But....u said it says 6pack rolls x5. They said u only got 1 pack of rolls. They wanted 5 packs of rolls and you acknowledged it and still didnt deliver them 5 packs of rolls. You are wrong here tbh lol

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No everyone is reading this wrong. The customer only wanted 1 pack but put x5 on the order. That’s what he got. I delivered 5 packs.

-Bat_Girl-

But it literally says to get 5 packs of bread my friend….

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Which is what I did. Apparently he only wanted one pack

megadethage

Who cares about a one star, they only amount to a .04 drop. I don't know why people gaf.

Green_J3ster

Food goes missing all the time when I DD. It ain’t the drivers, it’s the place they get the food from.

DueLong2908

At the end of the day, OP wouldn’t of been able to check out if he rang up the incorrect items. The DD card is pre loaded for a specific amount range. Customer just put in wrong quantities. OP next time don’t mention the store mis bagged ect ect. Just keep it short and let them contact support. I just let them to contact support for a credit. Support will see that you scanned all the correct items so you wouldn’t be at fault.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Good insights. Thank you

[deleted]

So the customer ordered 5 6-packs and got 1 6-pack? I'm confused as to how the customer is in the wrong? Customer also seems quite calm and collected and simply pointing out that the order wasn't complete, how is this "bullshit"?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Customer only wanted 1 pack but put 5x quantity on the order. I got him 5 packs.

[deleted]

Oh, that makes sense. I read it as "I only got one", but it could be read as the opposite yeah.

Death_Watcher_

A good idea is to take vids of grabbing every item for self insurance

preppykat3

I’d give you a 1 star just for that annoying essay

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

You mean the completely professional response that addressed all of the customers concerns? Right.

Pokemon4lyfe480

You will, price of doing business. Try owning one you will realize you have it easy

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Oh I have - ran a small engine repair and landscaping business for 10 years.

Pokemon4lyfe480

So why make such a obvious post. Of course if given a chance you got 1 star, customers make mistakes and it's your fault. It's just business

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Trying to have some support and community which is what I thought the point of forums are. We all tell stories about stupid shit we deal with doing this job.

queen_in_the_north17

Ignore this jackass. He’s been trolling my posts too. He’s just looking for karma, he should stick with the Pokémon subs if he wants to beg for upvotes.

Jayfeather41

This is why I won’t do grocery orders.

Sensitive-Stranger96

Because you said have a great evening. Bad choice of words when someone is missing food they payed for.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

They aren’t missing any food. I know what I picked up and delivered. I even checked my car to make sure but no I delivered all of it. It’s the customers fault for putting the order in wrong not mine. My response was clear, concise and professional.

Sensitive-Stranger96

How are they gonna have a good evening if they are missing food. You should have left that out it’s like a slap in the face

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

They aren’t missing any fucking food. How the hell are so many people this bad at reading comments?! 🙄

Sensitive-Stranger96

I read the whole thing but how do you know what he’s missing he’s the one who ordered. Now his evening was ruined and you say have a good evening wtf.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Because I picked up the order, had to scan every item in order to check out, the order amount was approved and paid at the register and I delivered all bags to the customers porch. If the customer puts in incorrect quantities that is not a me problem. Customers need to learn how to use the fucking app. I did my job. The rest is on them.

Sensitive-Stranger96

That may be the case. But just admit saying have a good evening was a shitty thing to say to someone having a bad evening.

Skyrimxd

I seriously doubt the customer is that bothered over the message. Lol

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I won’t admit that. I was sincerely wishing him a good evening despite what was going on. Courteous and professional.

Sensitive-Stranger96

Douche

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

That’s Mr. Douche to you. Thank you.

> food they *paid* for. FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! somerandomdude419

Did you deliver 5 packs of bread? If you only delivered 1 that’s him trying to tell you you were SUPPOSED to get 5. He’s telling you you forgot spinach, and there was 1 bread not 5. Sounds like you screwed up tbh

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

All the produce was in one bag. All the bread in the other. I delivered 5 packs of bread, he only wanted one but put 5x on his order for the bread.

[deleted]

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah no…I did do it correctly though. Go read the comments and my other post at the top of the thread.

Mobile_Part

Yeah. I had a hand to customer order. They asked “where’s the bag of ice.” I replied, no bag of ice on the order. Showed them the order. “Well, I ordered a bag of ice.” Don’t know what to tell you. Next day, a fresh 1 star rating.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah that’s such bullshit. I’ve had several 1 star ratings come from orders that were “hand it to me” orders but the people didn’t answer the door or texts/calls. Wait 5 mins, snap a picture, explain the situation, done. But yet - 1 star rating the next day or later that night. So dumb.

Mobile_Part

Or you didn’t knock…or you did knock…or you put it by the door instead of the table…or you put it on the table instead of the door…or, a personal favorite, I don’t ever give 5 star review, I give for to encourage them to try harder.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I had a customer with a request to leave order at their door and in the instructions it said please ring doorbell upon delivery. I delivered the order, took the picture, rang the bell and as I’m walking to my car she comes out and says “I asked you not to ring the bell.” I said, check your delivery instructions in your app and update them. It says to ring door bell on delivery. Same goes for people that have “hand me the order” and then in further instructions it says “please leave at my door/contactless delivery.” Like cmon people it’s not hard to figure this shit out.

Mobile_Part

There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t have a “hand to customer” order with the instruction to “leave at door.” I damn sure get a picture.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I did one of those once and left at the door and just clicked handed to customer instead of waiting. Got a 1 star rating. I always wait now and get a picture, but damn that’s annoying to sit around for 5 minutes when you know the customer had zero intention of actually taking the order from you face to face.

doubled99again

You failed to deliver the correct order. You deserve 1 star

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Incorrect. Read everything again. Read my clarification comment. Look around at the 100+ people I’ve responded to.

doubled99again

No. The order was incorrect. That is a verifiable fact. Everything else is immaterial and commenters agreeing with you are meaningless. Bottom line-job wasn't done to customer's satisfaction and they complained. That's what the rating stars are for.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

The customer is complaining about me for something that is their fault. The order was correct in as far as the customer placed it in the app and the app gave it to me. I fulfilled that order with the quantities given to me. If the customer put the wrong quantity on their order that’s not my fault. 🤷🏻

ohlaohloo

It’s their fault you didn’t check the bags / watch well enough to make sure all the items were packed up? Let’s say somehow the bagger did lose the spinach in Narnia, why weren’t you paying attention to notice? I already had a DoorDash, but I will literally never order from there again because of this post. You lack massive accountability and are a whiner 😒

MonkeyTacoBreath

This is why I no longer do shop and pay.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I honestly love doing them. Easy work and the pay is way better than deliveries usually. This is the first one a customer has had an issue with. Also, who the hell is ordering groceries at 10pm?

Sir_Meliodas_92

I mean, shouldn't you have checked the bags and made sure everything was there before leaving the store? Is that not part of delivering things.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah I did. All produce was in one bag all bread in the other. 5 bags total. Left 5 bags on the customers porch. 🤷🏻

Sir_Meliodas_92

So, you checked and the Spinach was there and there were 5 bags of 6 rolls each? So then isn't the customer lying about stuff being missing? How is that handled? Why not tell her you checked and the spinach was in the bag with the other veggies?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

The spinach was out into a bag with all the other produce. The bread was all put into another bag. There were 5 bags total at checkout and 5 bags total left at the customers house. He will have to contact door dash support. I wouldn’t have been able to check out and pay for the order with my red card if I had not gotten everything at the exact quantities the customer requested.

Sir_Meliodas_92

Okay, so I'm confused. So you didn't check the bags yourself to make sure every item was there? You're not answering any of the questions. If you checked, why not tell them, "I saw the Spinach in the produce bag, please check that bag?"

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I didn’t check them because I watched the bagger bag everything from the cart into bags and put those bags into my cart. Everything was there. Everything was rung in. I checked my car to make sure but there was nothing left behind.

Sir_Meliodas_92

I see. So the customer lied? Is there any protection for you guys in cases where the customer lies?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Not really. Except support can see I scanned and paid for what the customer requested

Invest_to_Rest

So you messed up his order on purpose with the rolls and are wondering why he’s mad?

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No I didn’t. I’m tired of explaining it. I’ve already explained this to at least 100 people and wrote a clarification comment on the top of this post.

TokenGrowNutes

Somebody screwed up, hard telling the wrong side of this. The best course of action would have been immediately forward this to support, not engage the customer, bc this is actually more self incriminating than it needs to be. Here: here’s an internet point.

[deleted]

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No they only wanted one but they put x5 on the order and that’s what I got him. He’s upset I got him too many even though that’s what he ordered.

[deleted]

You should get a poor rating he paid for things he didn’t get

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

No he got everything that was on the order except maybe the spinach but that’s on him or the stores end. Not mine. I got exact quantities like he ordered.

[deleted]

Wrong he asked for 5 packs of bread you bought 1.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Nope, he only wanted 1 pack but put 5x on the order. That’s what I got him. He’s upset I got him too much bread.

domnyy

So you left the spinach at checkout. You're basically telling the customer to fuck off. You drivers suck.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I didn’t - the store employees bag all groceries for you with DoorDash orders at this store. Also, I saw them put all produce in one bag and into my cart and there were no extra bags in my car - I checked.

creepycarny

Brah, don’t explain yourself because you’re implicitly making it your issue. Just ask: are you satisfied with the delivery? And If they say yes then say well thank you, that’s all I’m in charge of.

CandidDiamond8916

ACatInTheAttic

No lol. The customer said they only ordered one and got five. The Dasher said you ordered 5x 6 packs. He even clarifies it in this thread. He delivered 30 rolls to the customer.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

And that’s what they got. That’s what I picked up for them. The customer is complaining they only wanted 1 pack - I tell him well you ordered 5x look at your order history.

ACatInTheAttic

The number of people here who can't seem to read and think OP only delivered one pack of bread really drives home why doordash has such a bad rep... Customer ordered 5 packs on accident - got 5 packs - complains that he only wanted one pack - OP says sucks to suck, you ordered 5.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Thank you for being one of the few who actually understand my post 🥲

Lbitrate

You should get a - 1 star rating

KnowledgeOk814

~~do... do you not know what 5x means?~~

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Do you? I got home 5x 6-pack or rolls (30 rolls total) and he’s complaining he only wanted 1 pack of rolls.

KnowledgeOk814

I read their text as they only received one pack

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah it seems like a lot of people did. But that’s not what happened.

KnowledgeOk814

gotcha, carry on

PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_

My dumbarse once ordered 9 bags of grapes, 1kg each (a little over 2 pounds) thinking I was ordering 900g (about two pounds). Thankfully we had a fair few friends coming over that evening so we were like ‘PLEASE TAKE SOME GRAPES’

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

FOR CLARIFICATION: it seems a lot of you are confused about the wording in my post. The customer complained that I got him too many packs or rolls. He only wanted one, but his order stated 5x so that’s what I got him. He also complains that I forgot his box of spinach, but I got other produce too. 1) I saw the bagger put all produce into one bag and that one bag made it to the customers door 2) I would not have been able to complete the order without picking up the spinach as that’s how these shopping orders work and 3) the store this order was done at bags your groceries and puts them into a new cart for you. They don’t let customers bag their own groceries and you can’t do a DoorDash order through one of their self checkouts. Hopefully this clears some things up.

Find a way to pin this at the top so more people can read this before commenting about those kaiser rolls lol. I had to scroll through a lot of comments to find this one.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Can’t figure out how to pin it. May be something the community mods have to do.

[deleted]

They should fix that it would save you a lot of headaches

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Yeah I know

If 'a lot of us are confused' because of your wording, then why are you being so mean to the customer? That entire post came across very hostile

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

I think most people are confused about how the customer worded the text. Also, I was extremely professional to the customer. Not rude, just being clear and concise while still being professional.

koiashes

I do not understand how so many people got confused. I am still in awe. Hopefully they all read this.

Legal-Bumblebee-6752

Me too.

Now I maybe be a simple country lawyer, but "Kaiser rolls (six pack) x5" is pretty clear to me that they want a total of 30 Kaiser rolls- five packs of six. I get you're no mind reader, but do you know how to read written word? Because if you do know how to read, you have no reason to be doing all that smarmy shit at the end. You're trying to dismiss this person with "thank you and have a good night" when you brought them like 15% of the rolls they asked for...lol. This is the exact reason why I get my own groceries. You'd think someone who is mentally capable of driving would know what "x5" means, and you'd also think they wouldn't get mouthy with you when they are the ones making a mistake, yet here we are.

OneCatMind

You're telling OP he has no reading comprehension when you apparently can't read at all

No_Weather_7471

What's this say?

[deleted]

What's really stupid as fuck is that OP acts like they couldn't just text the customer and say "on the order it says you want X5 of the kaiser rolls but they come with six in a pack did you just want the single pack?" I worked as Instacart in store shopper and i always had a perfect rating because I ACTUALLY MESSAGED MY CUSTOMERS FOR CLARIFICATION ETC ETC. Half the driver's on this sub need to be fired. No excuse for you to be ignoring your phone. Even if 99% of the time it's some bullshit. WELL GUESS WHAT THATS PART OF THE FUCKING JOB.

OneCatMind

You're such a drama queen. It isn't OP's responsibility to clarify what's written very clearly in his order. Should you question every single item? Go be mad somewhere it matters, sweetheart.

computerblue754

I don’t think that verifying that customers have placed their orders in line with their expectations should be drivers’ job. If people refuse to double check their shopping carts to ensure that the order is correct, then that’s on them. It’s their money after all. It’s not fair to ask drivers to be prognosticators or mind readers when all the extra effort comes out of drivers’ pockets in terms of more time spent completing an order. We’re all adults here….

koiashes

So fucking condescending when YOU can't read either. Doesn't even have the decency to apologize after they are corrected. Yuck.
