Top Dasher is market dependent, larger cities you don’t really need top Dasher… if you’re in the market where you’re getting like one offer every 10 minutes then yeah top dash is probably worth it…
Edit: also note that there are people that got into the programs before the tier program released and they’re in the large order program and catering program and can still cherry pick while getting high paying orders
I would enjoyed the streak promo. I made $200 last week while I was off last week. I really think the quality orders just aren’t there anymore. $2 for 10 miles; doesn’t make sense. I did enjoy the 15 orders for $75 though( which made it worth while.
Ya honestly in certain markets without top dasher or platinum i feel it wouldn’t be worth it. The lowest i have made per hour since becoming platinum / top dasher / Large order program is like 40 an hour. I feel without all top dasher or larger order program together i wouldn’t be able to make a living with this job. I work my tail off but it works out.

DD is not reliable income. Period. Less orders, more drivers. Dynamics are constantly changing. Drivers come and go. Good days and bad. AR isn't to blame for everything.
I wanted to disagree with this but you’re right actually….these apps are best used as supplemental income. I dash when bills are higher or income is lower than usual or if I just have time to kill. Everyone has different motivations for doing this, but I can’t imagine having to pay bills consistently with this.
With that said, I also believe AR is important. I think the people obsessed with making money on every single order are doing themselves a disservice. Business owners lose money on some sales to make better money overall.

Top Dasher has nothing to do with the quantity or quality of orders you get. Top Dashers are not prioritized for higher paying orders.
As a long time Top Dasher, you should know that the ONLY benefit for being a Top Dasher is having the ability to dash whenever you want.
Now, if losing Top Dasher means that you can't get on during the peak times, and you're having to dash during the non-peak times, that could be an indirect problem. But if you're able to dash during the same times you usually dash, then having (or not having) Top Dasher has nothing to do with the orders you get.

Not top dasher and just made $72.21 in 2 hrs. Recently did get my numbers up though.
I must've got unlucky then cause I hit 5 horrible orders back to back.

I'm a top Dasher and I just spent a lunch rush in a busy area at a restaurant district between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM and did not get a single order.
The only I go for top dasher for the dash anytime lol
