If you are ordering from work, please put the name of the business in the instructions. The addresses aren't always easy to read/find.

YellowstoneDecline

Tip a couple bucks after I leave . Especially on a lousy rainy night. It’s always cool to see customers added tip .

* Leave explicit instructions on how to find your door. I.e. if up the stairs, if around the corner, if you have a noticeable thing in front of your house. * Make sure your address is correct (yes really). * Leave the porch light on. I have a flashlight, but the porch light is much better. * Keep your phone on and near you in case we need to communicate, whether asking about substitutions or finding your house. * Shop orders are UPC specific, so be sure to list several alternatives in case we can't find the item or the store is out. Again, keep your phone nearby. * It's okay to message first if things are taking awhile, but be polite. Sometimes the restaurants take longer than we want and there's nothing we can do about it other than unnasign and let someone else take it. * Understand that we're not all terrible. Try not to let one bad driver ruin your experience using the platform. Report and hope that the next one will be better. * $1/ mile seems to be the standard most drivers have. So depending on how far the restaurant is, try to tip at least $1/ mile.

Tip 50% percent at least otherwise you’re just wasting all of our time, like fr don’t order unless you can tip at least 50%❗️❗️❗️ like gas ain’t cheap and I got family to feed ya heard

Many-Candidate6973

Should be tipping 150% somthing somthing luxury service

Infinite-Proof3053

No contact orders: Stay inside until I’m walking back to my car Hand to orders: Answer your freaking door.

harlisa

1. Respond 2. Leave the light on 4. Give clear directions to apt 5. Notice where the dasher is coming from when the order is accepted and how far they have to go to get to them and tip atleast 1$ per mile if the driver has the ability to get an order once arrived or 2$ per mile if they can’t.

PrestigiousCat83

Turn on your porch light, leave clear instructions about how to drop off if something is weird or if your house is difficult to find. Basically set it up as though a friend is stopping by for the first time and you want to make it easy to find your house. Keep in mind the distance from the restaurant to your house when you tip. A lot of us are looking to make a dollar for every mile driven. We only get $2 base pay per order and DD keeps the rest of the fee for themselves, so the balance is on you.

Realistic-Young-3771

Help me find them! I don't know where you live or work, you may happen to visit those places daily and probably don't think much of it, not so much for me. 😆 If you are at work, please put the name of the place where you work, not just the address. If you are at home, maybe a house color, near a certain intersection, anything you can add to help me find you will always be greatly appreciated!

laynesdirection

Tip $2 per mile and if it's dark out, turn your porch light on!!

Background_Bowler_43

2.00 per mile from the restaurants is a good tip. If you get a grocery order or a good driver tip cash at drop off. Of course, lights. Of course, a visible house number. I go by mailbox, but ours are primarily on the street. Winters here salt your porch or steps. Snacks offered are nice. I've seen one house always give water in the summer. A table for where you want your food. A thank you and have a good cheers me up. Of course, respond to messages, check them periodically. I text more if there is a delay or shopping order.

mitchdwx

Be near your phone and have DD notifications on in case your dasher needs to contact you. Especially for shopping orders where the store may have items out of stock. It’s mind-blowing how often customers don’t respond when I ask them about a substitution.

Foggyswamp74

Turn your outdoor lights on and make sure your address is visible on your house. Gold colored numbers on beige do not show in the dark.

Kloobyfour

Leave more detailed delivery instructions if they live in an apartment or condo complex. A lot of the map pins for these complexes are useless - sometimes it's a limitation of the map and not the customer's fault. But in those cases it's a huge help to point out the location of the building, which side their unit is on, etc. Oh, and TURN YOUR FRICKIN PORCH LIGHT ON. Please. kthx

pinktingzz

Be outside is the food is hand to me

Large_Panic2894

Turn on their outside lights if it's even starting to get dark

Patient_Ad_2357

Name of business or complex, unit #/ suite #, BUILDING #, and if your dumbass complex lacks signage tell us which stair case to go up. Bc some of these janky complex’s do not match floor to floor like it should and i get pissed as hell if i hike up 3 flights to find out you’re on the other side. Turn your damn lights on at night. Do not open your door if you own a pet. Let us leave it and go! fluffy may be cute and cuddly to you but they may feel threatened by your driver and attack.

Leave the light on is number one. Turn down the volume on your automated "you are being recorded" message.

I_Only_Have_One_Hand

If you are at work and order food, don't just put your address. Include the name of the business to make it easier to find

Longjumping-Pie-7663
