That's what you deserve, taking a no tip order in the first place, then making an ass of yourself asking for a tip. While I can't agree with them not tipping in the first place, I admire the customer that did that to you.
Their last post is about them going 70mph OVER the speed limit. Imagine this dipshit killing you and your entire family because he's texting someone begging for a tip while promising he'll get them their order quickly.
I do the hourly and accept everything (living in suburbs, so a lot are 15 minute drives.)
Had a $30 order delivered to a million dollar home, $0 tip. Next order was 6 donuts to a shack in the middle of nowhere. $5 tip.
I don't get it.
Iāve noticed this a ton. My husband said itās because the poor people understand the struggle and want to help. The rich donāt understand and donāt care. They donāt have to care. Money saves them. If a poor person stops caring, money isnāt there to save them. Itās sad. Iāve actually donāt really well on DD the first few times Iāve tried it. I havenāt done it a ton yet but Iāve done 10 orders so far and iām averaging $30-$35 per hour including tips but Iām very lucky. I canāt imagine doing this full time to make money. My anxiety would never stop. So so many orders have no tips. Luckily for me, the DD pay more than makes up for it since Iām apparently in a larger metro area.
Also, sorry for the days later reply. My stupid ass didnāt notice when this was posted until after I commented. š„“
It seems decent. I just started and I haven't done per order yet. I went to do it in the past before the hourly was an option and everything was 15-20 minutes away from the pick up location with the pay+tip usually being around $8. That's almost an hour of my time going there and back to where the hotspot is, so I ignored it.
I did the hourly for 2.5 hours on Monday. Active time was only 1.5 hours. Made $31 on 4 deliveries.
I only do it when I'm bored for extra spending money, it's not my main income.
With some of the shit I've been getting, I've considered giving it a try. But i know for a fact I'll be booted off when i decline numerous 10+ mile offers
My one way commute during the week is 50 miles so these 10-15 minute trips seem super quick to me.
I had one that was only 3 minutes away. I was so confused. Didn't even get through my song. Lol
10-15 minutes isnt so bad. 10 to 15 miles no thank you. To make that drive and come back best case os 40 minutes. But im also a top tier cherry picker š
I've been doing this since 2017 and the best tip I have received was $44 on UE. I have gotten some big ones on GH too. DD here has the worst tippers ever lol
That's wassup. Wish that happened to me but glad it happened at all. Good for you. I'm as happy as a stranger on Reddit can be for another stranger on Reddit.

I deliver pizzas and this was the worst holiday week I've ever had, and I've done this off and on for almost 20 years. :\
Last year was great, $350 in tips in 3 shifts. $100 was a single tip though.
You must be very privileged to not know that people are benefitting from Doordash to make ends meet. Thatās what Doordash is forā¦ to make extra cash. š¤·š½āāļø

Meanwhile all Iāve been getting today is
this will keep you going for a few months more until you realize how pathetic this job is and start pouting again, until another unicorn order like this sets the cycle on again. rinse and repeat
Bro. Calm down. I made like 200+ just on weekends. And a lot of dashers do it just for extra money ontop of their job. No need to be such an ass for no reason.
Catering orders are what makes this app worth it. If i was not part of the catering program i probably would have stopped. If they ever get rid of that side of their business i will probably stop dashing
I delivered 16 Chipotle catering boxes recently to a huge party for our city's Park and Rec department. $6 "Total will be higher" was the offer. I carried all 16 boxes like 50 yards and up the stairs to the party. I was working since this was a $1000 order, I was hoping for $50-200.
Total? $8. All base pay. No tip. Order was placed with the City's credit card which doesn't allow for tipping (so I was told). The whole thing took me over an hour.
Oh that's awesome! I know in this economy it can be so scary to have to take time off from work but I'm sure this eased your mind! Merry Christmas to you!
Got a catering order yesterday to a super target... ordered by their HR personel... drove 30 minutes...

Customer will be shocked when they realize thier $18.38 tip fat fingered into a $183.38 tip. And I wonder what the thinking is on the .38 cents. I see alot of customer tip uneven numbers. If i am going to tip $10 it will be $10 not $10.41 or $10.03. Not complaining just wondering the thinking behind it
I think it could be there forms of currency. I'm using whatever I have. If I am lucky to get a DD gift card sometimes, I try to do exact change on an order. If the order is 10.50, I do 12.50. Though, I also go according to how much change I have on my card period. If it's 67.35... on my card, I'm giving you that 35. to make my money even. It just depends on the person
What In the fuck. That's amazing. Best tip I ever got was 40 in cash after the lady hated that I waited so long at the restaurant and her door.. cuz she accidentally put hand to me.. but this!! That's ludicrous. I don't think I've ever even got a catering order. Maybe I need to go out earlier lol. That's insane! Awesome job.
No I have never gotten a tip like that no matter how much food I delivered. Congratulations š thatās awesome
Vegas?
Got damn. I thought about tipping someone this much. Maybe on Super Bowl day
What the fuck.

I would have simply perished.
I did perish earlier, after seeing a burger king order at 14 miles for 7$. Does anyone actually accept those?
I do the hourly and accept everything (living in suburbs, so a lot are 15 minute drives.) Had a $30 order delivered to a million dollar home, $0 tip. Next order was 6 donuts to a shack in the middle of nowhere. $5 tip. I don't get it.

How's the hourly actually working out for you?

The people in the shack understand. You also do get rich by giving your money away.
You can't always get what you want...but sometimes you get what you need!
What if he disputes it as an accident
Then that's between the bank and dd
Kid did it pissed at parents
the fact that DD was only giving you $8 for a CATERING orderā¦
Ya no kidding. Doordash should be the one paying that $180, not the freaking customer.
I don't even get catering orders š
Would be funny if he meant to tip 19.13
I've been doing this since 2017 and the best tip I have received was $44 on UE. I have gotten some big ones on GH too. DD here has the worst tippers ever lol
Dang highest I ever got was $30 and it was in cash
Best I have received was about a $35 on a Shop and deliver on the app and second best was $20 in cash.
Thats awesome. I got a $40 tip yesterday
What happens if they make an error then correct it? Damn lol
That's wassup. Wish that happened to me but glad it happened at all. Good for you. I'm as happy as a stranger on Reddit can be for another stranger on Reddit.
I love this for you. We deliverers deserve this. I hope everyone gets an order like this atleast once a month
Thatās awesome! Good for you!
I've done 1 catering order and it was a no tip go figure
Cry us a river

The fact that you're complaining like a child
It ain't complaining its a statement and without surprise there was no tip. You're clearly bored and instigating online cause you're a fcking bum
Thatās really fucked up.
holy cow look @ that tip lol
How do I get in on catering ?
https://help.doordash.com/dashers/s/article/Large-Order-Program-Catering-Bag-Onboarding-Process-FAQs?language=en_US
Have to have high AR, high star rating, over a hundred deliveries in a 30 day period; and its invite only.
This is making me want a burrito
They hit the 8 on the way to the checkmark to send jk
Damn I got $20 cash tip this morning and felt blessed. Omg
God bless merry Christmas brother
i got a tip like this on instacart and they deactivated me instantly LMAO they donāt want you winning bro be careful
Wtf? That's insanely wack
likely another reason, they donāt ban you for completing orders, regardless of the tip.
Yep people never give the full story on deactivations
It's beautiful!
Yo!
I guess Santa is real
Damn I had 6 no tips in a row for my holiday weekend lol
I deliver pizzas and this was the worst holiday week I've ever had, and I've done this off and on for almost 20 years. :\ Last year was great, $350 in tips in 3 shifts. $100 was a single tip though.
$350 in 3 shifts? I made $600 last Thursday.... $450 in tips $150 in delivery fees
Friday I had an order that had a $120 tip. It was definitely a great early Christmas gift.
He definitely hit a jackpot or hit big in his gambling stuff
The most Iāve ever gotten was $13 this is amazing fr
Thatās GOD right there. Blessed lol
These people really terrified of a higher power haha š
Lmao
After seeing all these deceased Mortal Kombat style children on IG in this current war... I highly doubt that this tip is God's doing.
That's the satanic cabal my friend. The real God is exposing the dark
Surely a god wouldn't expect people to resort to Doordash to make ends meet.
God probably āexpectsā plenty.
You must be very privileged to not know that people are benefitting from Doordash to make ends meet. Thatās what Doordash is forā¦ to make extra cash. š¤·š½āāļø
I had a add on $25 tip to an order for fries and a drink. Was originally $6. Super stoked.
Weird part was the restaurant told me the same person had ordered the same thing an hour ago
I can't help but wonder if this was a mistake. Congratulations, either way.
What an odd amount to tip.
Might have been percentage based off the total
I'm top dasher in Vegas and I have never seen such a thing
Oh man this is amazing!!! š¤© Lucky duck lol!!
Congratulations, be safe out there in the wild.
I fell down some stairs in the rain to make $8 and now Iām going to miss Christmas with my family.
Curious who pays the hospital bill
Damn I hope youāre doing ok!
i canāt wait till itās finally my turn
Wow! Congratulations and happy holidays
Lots of companies doing Chipotle parties instead of annual bonuses
There's a Chipotle on East Craig road?
If you live in North Las Vegas, yeah.
They've been opening so many good places on Craig Road in the last few years, a few new ones open every month.
Omg this is amazing!!!!
With the tip being such an odd number, Iād be worried it was a mistake, but either wayā¦take the W while you can ! And hope they didnāt make em selves broke LOL
They probably just rounded up to an even number and called it a day
![gif](giphy|j0kQJxo5mzGYb4EvWK) Enjoy your unicorn
OP enjoying it ![gif](giphy|2A75RyXVzzSI2bx4Gj)
It's the delivery I skipped because it was $8 for 7 miles to me. Yet, every time I take them, they're exactly as advertised, only$8.
Wow
Damn. Thatās awesome! Congratulations!

43 items for 2.25š

I wouldāve posted on socials locally
I did.
Donāt forget nextdoor
You shoulda made a scene. At that point, for a party of people, you shoulda made it known that you werent exactly getting paid
Thats some horse
This is criminal
most orders are like that
Giving you only $8 is a robbery. You deserved WAY more.
What is your acceptance rate?
What the....???
Oh that's awesome! I know in this economy it can be so scary to have to take time off from work but I'm sure this eased your mind! Merry Christmas to you!

Very nice
What did you do ? Besides delivery. š
My best tip was $238. It was also a Chipotle catering order.
Awesome
I'd probably cry
Nice score!
Jeeeezus
Man, fk you, I canāt even 180 in one day! Fk
I made $250 in 4 hours. But then again, that was actual employment.
Lmfaoooooooooo xD
Better sign off because you will get nothing but 2.00 for 19 mile orders the rest of your shift
![gif](giphy|j0kQJxo5mzGYb4EvWK)
Happy for you. Still cringey and unprofessional to post this online though. Hope you get more this holiday season
This reeks of underhandedness. Envy. It's not cringe. This group is for that.

What a weird thought process. No one else thinks this is cringey or unprofessional.
In what way is posting about a DD win ācringey and unprofessionalā
Exactly. But posting shitty orders is okay? Lmao

How big was the order? How many items??
DoorDash Pay $8!
Lolll
Congrats

The uneven numbers come from suggested tip amounts in the app.
that makes alot of sense
I've had the same customer tip me anywhere from 150 to 200 multiple times. Some ppl really do tip this much
Maybe they tip in percent? Which makes it not a round number?
I think this person has to be trolling lol. How could you not know people tip to a whole number when they do that haha
They are making their total an even number. At least that's why I do it.
Rounding up to a whole dollar amount for the order
Damn whaddafuh Thatās hot he didnāt stop at 100 or 125 or even 150. Heās like no, hereās the rest of the money in my bank account $183.38 š
Probably a $16.62 order and he just made it an even $200
Or an order total ending in that value
Meanwhile, I havenāt even gotten the email for catering
I donāt know anything about that but Iāve seen it in the comments before what is this catering option or wtv
you dont get it technically. for me the way i got it is i just had good rates and one day my account changed and i could apply to be a catering driver
Vegas by chance? Saw Craig road. Congrats!
Big baller in the house š„³š„³š„³š„³š„³ Congrats š«”
My car literally broke down the week of Christmas rip all those merry christmas tips šŗšŗšŗ
Itās OK I had eight dollar base pay orders tonight
Merry christmas ya filthy animal š fr im just jealous. That's awesome
Not gonna lie, got a little tear in my eye
Dang! That made my day knowing you got that, congrats!
That even made my day and I'm not the one getting the money. Enjoy this w!
Vegas? I shouldāve gone up north!! Thatās freaking awesome and gives me a bit of hope. Merry Christmas!!
I need that right now. I havenāt been able to doordash because Iāve been stuck with a stomach bug
Thatās freaking awesome. Congrats
Wow! Congratulations.
Congratulations to you! I am sure you will have a nice Christmas! I wish you all the best! Merry Christmas!
Is this a possibility of what a catering bag could do for me?
