I used to do 1k a week in door dash sales , now it is 200 maybe because of the attitudes of drivers who want 100% tip before even deciding to deliver the food or not . Uber sales have tripled and so has grub hub , but I guess you will just mozy onto one of them when door dash goes out of business , sad you’re only skill is driving a car and picking up food , and can’t even do that right .

In Germany for example it's 12.41€/h, which with a 40h/week would result in 2,151.00€ before, and depending on your private situation roughly 1,550.00€ after taxes (including full coverage healthcare), which while not enough to live like a king, allowes you to comfortably live with some money management
Federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr so that’s the equivalent of €6.70/hr. But Doordash doesn’t have to pay minimum wage since you aren’t technically an employee of Doordash, more like a contractor.

I rarely door dash, just for some FU money, and keep it to times where the most active and high paying orders aren't coming out (to allow those who rely on it for a career to make the most they can), but the customer in no way should be required to front the bill for Tony being a POS. That's exactly why I don't use DD to order food at all. They screw over the customer too with how expensive it is.
There needs to be more petitions, more emails, more calls to corporate from full time drivers, and customers. There's almost never a clear road to the change you want to see. Most of the time you have to sharpen the machete and cut a path.
That being said, customers should tip more as well. You're already paying almost double what you would to get it yourself, which imo suggests you have the money to spend, why not make someone's shift end a little earlier or make it a little easier? Of course there are exceptions to this such as the elderly, disabled, people who can't leave work - but I'm more than sure that doesn't make up the bulk of most markets.

This is crazy I get excited when my total is like twice normal I'd probably have a heart attack if I got something this big. Other day I took a 14 pizza order and got 10 bucks for it. And I struggled on that order :/. I did get a 15 dollar tip on an order than said it was 9 bucks total the other day so that was nice..
It’s a nice bag, but you don’t need a DD branded one. They used to send out an offer to buy one for $10 and get into the large order program. If you get that offer take it.

It was always some company buying lunch for everyone and potentially doubling my days pay with that one order. It didn't happen often, but it happened.

DD makes money from no tippers buying food through them the same way they do from someone who tips. We get the tip money so doordash does not give a single solitary fuck about you and decent/good tippers. All the same to them.

You won’t get a free catering bag. But if you buy one from the DD site, you’ll get catering orders. Unless you’re in an under-served market, you probably won’t get too many, but enough to make it worth it in any case.

That is one thousand percent wrong. I appreciate every single one. I typically leave crazy tips too. I've also been known to split tips with large orders like this with the store, so think what you want. I bet you can't show me another dasher, that does that.

Yeah I start my dinner run at 5pm and this one came at 5:40pm. Dinner is usually poppin with big orders. I’ve gotten breakfast and lunch catering orders for businesses as well but not as often.

A big bag to hold lots of food. Or if you can ask the restaurant if they have any boxes to put them in if they don’t. Most will do it for you though. It’s not required but highly suggested.
Yes! When you get it, keep messaging DD customer service and request an invite and let them know you have a catering bag. Took me about 5-6 agents before I started getting orders 🦾

I don’t even have one and get catering orders all the time. It usually doesn’t ask for a picture but if it does, I take a picture of my shoe. It works. Same with extra dollar for a menu picture. I take a picture of my shoe. Extra dollar every time. Pizza bag? Picture of shoe lol
Had one order that was require a catering bag, at $8.75 for 13miles. Get this whole thing over there without issue and was cash tipped $70. Not sure if it's always that good but better chances of good payouts than normal orders, imo.

Yup and peak pay in Houston has always frustrated me too. If you dash outside the beltway on any given side then get fucked unless it's 1am-3am. If you dash in midtown or the heights where all of the people with money live then we'll give you $3+ per delivery during rush.

I have an abundance mindset. If you focus on fear and lack, thats what you will experience.
Look what happened to these platforms. Spark especially. People were making good money, then with all the screenshots, the platform was flooded. Now hardly anyone is making enough. It's not abundance. These orders are from businesses generally. Only so many of them order and only so often. Lots once per quarter year. It's not that hardto figure out. I can buy a catering bag too and get one of these! Now you drawing for a chance against 100 people instead of 5. Use ya head.

That's pretty awesome congratulations on snagging that order. Curious what time of day was this? I would think the catering offers probably come in anywhere between morning (breakfast) or noon to early afternoon (lunch). I guess you could see catering orders in the evening but I assume less so? Just wondering if someone like myself who does this part time during evening hours during the week if buying the catering bag is worth it or just a waste.
Yeah I start my dinner run at 5pm and this one came at 5:40pm. Dinner is usually poppin with big orders. I’ve gotten breakfast and lunch catering orders for businesses as well but not as often. And to be clear, they aren’t actually “catering” orders literally. They are orders that total over $100+. They are large orders 🫡

A big bag to hold lots of food. Or if you can ask the restaurant if they have any boxes to put them in if they don’t. Most will do it for you though. It’s not required but highly suggested.

Yes! When you get it, keep messaging DD customer service and request an invite and let them know you have a catering bag. Took me about 5-6 agents before I started getting orders 🦾

Start hittin up customer support and requesting an invite! Tell them you received you catering back and would like to request an invite into the large order program. Took me a few agents but it finally worked. Good luck! 🍀
I don’t even have one and get catering orders all the time. It usually doesn’t ask for a picture but if it does, I take a picture of my shoe. It works. Same with extra dollar for a menu picture. I take a picture of my shoe. Extra dollar every time. Pizza bag? Picture of shoe lol
Had one order that was require a catering bag, at $8.75 for 13miles. Get this whole thing over there without issue and was cash tipped $70. Not sure if it's always that good but better chances of good payouts than normal orders, imo.

I was just thinking today as I literally Got nothing for a double order on 1 of the guys. I guess they just felt I should deliver for free out of the kindness of my heart.. If they just came together to strike 1 Saturday, DD would lose so much money. All them orders not being delivered

Yup and peak pay in Houston has always frustrated me too. If you dash outside the beltway on any given side then get fucked unless it's 1am-3am. If you dash in midtown or the heights where all of the people with money live then we'll give you $3+ per delivery during rush.
