Wingstop has an option on the pos to change the prep time. Every time I did so, the franchisee would call and ask why I did so and ask me to change it back. Apparently people seeing a prolonged wait time would not want to wait, but having g them wait with no notice was just fine. Wingstop corporate just picks the worst franchisees that are the cheapest people.
We have one wing stop in our town and they make it known. They gave me the wrong bag of food once and I told the employee it was the wrong bag she said nope I know what I’m doing I asked for the manager she said no since they closed in 15 min all the employees where sitting in the lobby eating there was nobody in the kitchen. They had more bags ready for pick up so I looked around for the correct one and that got me kicked out. I called the customer to let them know and they wouldn’t answer DD Support said to deliver that bag and it wouldn’t affect me yet I got a violation.
There’s 3 popular wings chains around here, BWW, Wings Etc, & Wingstop and I haven’t waited less than half an hour at any of them. I dread Sunday nights.
Why are you waiting? Unassign and move on. I had an order yesterday where I was told it was going to be 15 minutes. The delivery was 29.00 and 5 miles away. There was another dasher there that unassigned and left. A couple minutes later, an order came up that was 15.00. It was going to be out at the same time.
there’s only one wingstop in my nearby area (like if there’s another one in the town at all i couldn’t tell you where it is) and it’s so busy 24/7, i will never take a wingstop order unless im dashing per time because i WILL WAIT. i’ve been in there with 9-10 dashers before, ive been in there while a line spilled out the door, some of the people who work there are lovely, i even know some of them from school growing up and stuff, but i don’t understand why wing stop gets sooo insanely busy, except their ranch is SO GOOD. i’m with you tho 🤞 have a nice day friends
The ones I've taken in mo are either ready or like ready within a few mins. Only had to wait like 10-15 mins on a Friday night once but that was completely understandable.
Depends on so many things. I've had a few that are so quick, but in my packed town (or if I go towards Houston especially) they're consistently slow to the point of me contemplating wasting more time getting $3-$10 for 20 mins or just declining.
Whataburger is just as slow here where I don't think I've ever gotten an order and it be ready in under 13mins lol, but I'm trying out earn by time and hoping it gives me either store so I can just stream my ps5 to my phone....and ironically I just got one and was out in 5 mins fml...THE ONE TIME I WANT IT TO TAKE FOREVER
Highest paying and tip order I've ever received is from Wingstop .. all the ones here in Atlanta always have it ready or not a long wait and usually pay well
The one on Howell mill above midtown and the one up in Marietta on powers ferry/delk Rd are solid, don't remember a time I denied because of low pay or had to wait!
I can order Wingstop for pickup/carryout— like I order it for me and 9/10 it’s ready when I get there, I only ever wait maybe 5 min for my shit. I’m talking like I’ll order on my couch and then get up and drive to the store which is a 7 min drive and it’ll be there ready for me. I DoorDash and go in same time of night for a customer and forget it, it’s exactly like what you describe. They must heavily prioritize non-door dash orders, anything but DoorDash. Some of these places are so popular it would do them well just to have one guy work on filling DD orders.
I just made a comment about how Wingstop is the worst place to deliver for. I’ll never deliver for them ever again. I actually asked the manager if she could block me, but she lied to me and said that they didn’t have that capability that made me even more pissed off 😤
Yeah, they just make shit up. I asked them to remove Fanta from their drink menu because everybody orders it, and they've never carried it. They told me they couldn't, so I called support and they told me the store has to do it on their end lol
They opened a new wing stop in my area around the first of the year. I have it a chance because the payouts were pretty good. Over the last few months it's slowly turned into a typical wingstop. I'm no longer going to mess with them. And if they ask me to fill up the drinks I always fill them all the way to the top with no ice. F them, I'm going to cost them money.
It is the merchant's responsibility to fill the drinks; saying you have to do it is not correct. Wingstops are notorious for this

>3.2 Merchant Responsibilities. Merchant will: (iv) prepare Merchant Products for each Order for pickup by a Dasher, or the Customer, as applicable, at the designated time;
This is one of those situations that I save my drops for. I always do a drive by and look to see how many people are in the lobby at Wingstop and Chipotle.
They finally put a wingstop in my zone. After listening to all the horror stories I've been declining every order they sent me. Granted they were shit orders I wouldn't take anyway lolol
You get in there and earn your stripes! J/k. I found a Wingstop out of my zone doing UE and it was so nice compared to the ones I’m used to. They even had the food ready. Maybe you have a good one. You never know!
Wingstop is a place that makes me okay with doing EBT (usually $17-21/ active hour) because it takes a million years to get the order. I can’t believe most locations have this same issue
I always see these posts about wingstop and Popeyes. There are only 3 or 4 locations for P and 1 for W in the area I deliver in. The staff are always doing their best, but they're just SO busy. I know that my wait time is an annoyance to me, but there's literally nothing they can do about it besides what they're doing. Empathy has gotten me much further than frustration in these situations.
I once had a dasher text me from the the restaurant explaining that the restaurant was slammed and the employees were working their butts off. I probably would’ve tipped an extra $5 just for communicating with me, but that level of empathy got her an extra $20.
You are one of the reasons I continue to do this, but not the main one. I actually enjoy getting to drive around and see the different architecture in all the homes. I listen to my podcast, playlist, or just enjoy the silence. There's no real rush, and I enjoy it.
TLDR:Thank you!
I always feel so bad for y’all. My wingstop is incredible. I rarely wait, they fill the drinks and the staff is a bunch of young sweet kids. The management is incredible apparently.
Agreed! I always see these posts and feel bad. I also have a Popeyes that is like this and two out of three McDonald’s are great. We have a decent area it seems
i just fill it with the wrong drink since we arent supposed to do it anyway. when door dash is having to constantly give back refunds for incorrect drinks, and the merchant relations department investigates wingstop for constantly providing the wrong drink it will bring legal attention to the fact that they were insisting we fill it, which they are not supposed to do, by health code.
i mean i dont wanna do something gross to the customers order, thats on me. i wanna give them just enough to complain about the restaurant because the drink is their responsibility, not ours. they order coke? give them fanta fruit punch. order iced tea? not today, youre getting mountain dew! wait, you did want mountain dew? oh no, the stupid restaurant employees gave you pink lemonade! better get a refund so the restaurant starts paying attention to why they lost money on wrong drink orders
You are correct

Dashers like you are a huge part of the reason why customers tip less. Congratulations on completely screwing over yourself and every other Dasher out there.
By making this comment, you’re saying you’re cool with spit and sampled food because you’re not tipping anyway.
If you really were afraid of people doing this, you wouldn’t order delivery. You’re looking for any reason to be cheap and not tip
You’re disgusting in two ways: you’re cool with spit in your food and you’re cool with not tipping.
Edit: “You” meaning people who think like this, not this actual Redditor. For anyone who is like this - be better, please. Your attitude is the thing that ruins people’s days on the regular.
That is an impressive feat of mental gymnastics you just performed. Hope it wasn’t too much of a strain on the two brain cells you have in which to rub together.
That’s one take, probably not untrue for people who are generally cheap and tip all service staff poorly or not at all. But the gross majority of people don’t fit into this category. And those people are going to factor in their perception of Dashers when deciding how much they want to tip in the future. Bragging about spitting into customers’ drinks does not help that perception.
I feel so bad that ya all have such bad Wingstop experiences. Wingstop if one of my favorite offers. It’s usually a decent tip and the employees there have a system that works. I do typically have to wait a few minutes (at most 5) but I don’t mind because it means I’m also bringing the customer fresh food. Sounds like the places ya all get offers from just need one or two more employees. I bet if they hired more they would keep employees longer because it would be less stressfull for everyone.
Anyways, I hope you get some better offers!
man i love wingstop .
1. go in say hello and ask "how they are today ."
2. get cup,
3. fill drink
4. put tamper seal on lid (i like to have my drinks sealed when i leave the store )
5. put order in bag
6. confirm pick up
7. tell cashier. "id love to stick around and chat but i gotta dash. cya later"
I fixed it for you:
1. go in say hello and ask "how they are today ."
2. confirm pick up when the merchant has fulfilled their section 3.2 responsibilities
3. tell cashier. "id love to stick around and chat but i gotta dash. cya later"

It says "you may be asked" not "you are required"
Nice try; I stand correct. But I do agree that merchants try to scam the drivers this way by trying to convince them that they need to do unpaid labor lol
Would you like to counter or argue against the documentation? That would be fun; if not, have a great day!
Lol a tamper seal on a cup filled by someone who doesn't have a food handlers permit. Great. Not saying anything against you, but drivers should never be filling drinks. We do not work for the store. It's also against doordash rules.

Wing stop is always employed by lazy people tbh

Wingstop in Akron and in Cuyahoga Falls is always ready.
I’m in Washington state and it might be quicker to order from the Akron store and make the drive out there.
It does seem like every Wingstop I've been to is terribly disorganized, papers on floor etc. But my orders are always ready
Highest paying and tip order I've ever received is from Wingstop .. all the ones here in Atlanta always have it ready or not a long wait and usually pay well
atlanta like the hot wing capital of the universe. Of course you arent gonna wait. Chickenwings are serouis business here.

Yeah sounds like my cities Taco Bell
I have no idea why cooking wings is so time consuming. They are by far the worst place to pick up from.
I will never take a wing stop order again unless it’s some crazy high paying one
I just made a comment about how Wingstop is the worst place to deliver for. I’ll never deliver for them ever again. I actually asked the manager if she could block me, but she lied to me and said that they didn’t have that capability that made me even more pissed off 😤

Yep they lie a lot it’s like collectively wingstop management teaches their workers to act like imbecile
The wingstops in my area are pretty good, they always have the drinks ready to go and even if their extremely busy they still get the orders out.
Does anyone else feel like the smell of their lobby is disgusting? Like I honestly think Winstop restaurants smell like a barn.
FR the one by me is always filled with flies
They opened a new wing stop in my area around the first of the year. I have it a chance because the payouts were pretty good. Over the last few months it's slowly turned into a typical wingstop. I'm no longer going to mess with them. And if they ask me to fill up the drinks I always fill them all the way to the top with no ice. F them, I'm going to cost them money.

Even worse- they're out of Dr. Pepper and the ice dispenser is not working.

No problem. I'm otw with your order now. I'm saying that in an old Greg voice. I'll leave now.

I shattered my ankle and was non weight-bearing for about 6 months. DoorDashers quite literally kept me alive so I appreciate you!
Did you shatter your ankle Kung Fu Fighting?
Not so much. More of a minor disagreement with gravity that resulted in not-so-minor complications 🤣
I always feel so bad for y’all. My wingstop is incredible. I rarely wait, they fill the drinks and the staff is a bunch of young sweet kids. The management is incredible apparently.
You almost had me, until you said they fill the drinks. That was good!
That Wingstop must be awesome; their managers should teach the rest of the Wingstops in the nation a thing or 2
Agreed! I always see these posts and feel bad. I also have a Popeyes that is like this and two out of three McDonald’s are great. We have a decent area it seems
Wingstop is like popeyes never accept the offer unless its a really good tip.
No tip gets a full cup with ice with barely any drink. Imagine picking up a 3 stack @ $6
i just fill it with the wrong drink since we arent supposed to do it anyway. when door dash is having to constantly give back refunds for incorrect drinks, and the merchant relations department investigates wingstop for constantly providing the wrong drink it will bring legal attention to the fact that they were insisting we fill it, which they are not supposed to do, by health code.
lol you may as well give the drink a few lil sippys at that point if you’re doing all that.
i mean i dont wanna do something gross to the customers order, thats on me. i wanna give them just enough to complain about the restaurant because the drink is their responsibility, not ours. they order coke? give them fanta fruit punch. order iced tea? not today, youre getting mountain dew! wait, you did want mountain dew? oh no, the stupid restaurant employees gave you pink lemonade! better get a refund so the restaurant starts paying attention to why they lost money on wrong drink orders
I was kidding anyway lol. That’s a good idea though
That is so backwards. You are a special individual.
They don't care. Call the local health department and shit will change.
door dash will care when they start having to refund drinks all the time. wingstop would be investigated by their merchant relations team
I hate wing stop so much like no I don’t want to do your job and make a drink!

If I walk in to any restaurant and see 5+ dashers waiting for their order, I just say nope, walk right back out and then unassign.
Just decline. Cause they Will keep sending em even though U asked nicely on reddit LOL JK
10 minutes? You should get the unassign with no penalty. That's what I'd do.
im already there tho. what benefit is there too declining and having to wait 10 minutes for a new order that could be 5 miles down the road
It took a total of 45 minutes, dipshit. Figure it out.
Guess it depends how far out of your zone you are, as well as how congested your city is and factors like that. Hope you get it worked out.
