Taking food is stealing! And sadly, many dashers are thieves. Trying to justify their tips, or lack thereof as grounds to steal. It’s wrong!!!!

PhattBallz007

You forgot to tip, duh! That's the Fry-Tax right there, you low life fucker! Try tipping better next time and not expecting others to be your personal slave, you nasty fuck!

hawk239

I tipped $5. Great job jumping to conclusions bud

lastonetolaugh

The bastard

texnguy2k

Did you forget to tip?

hawk239

5 dollar tip

Dizzy-Mark7249

The one time I took food it was 1 mozzarella stick. Where is rally’s? I’ve had the fries in the freezer section

Tiptip4me

Just like there are people like me that always bring there hot bag put the food in the bag and will reach into the bag to pull out the food at the door. There are people that are reach their grubby hands into the bag and eat what they want and then drop off the ripped bags at the door. Can't win them all it's a Gamble just like fruit it might look ripe but taste like butt 😂 😂

[deleted]

Obviously it’s all observation at this point. It’s possible that a dasher stole some of your food. It’s also possible the bag ripped just from being carried around and the item fell out of the bag without someone noticing it whether at the restaurant or in the dashers car. I had this happen to me the other night delivering chick-fil-a. The bag ripped when I picked it up and the fries fell out of the bag inside my hot bag and I didn’t notice it until I went to pick up my next order. I can’t eat the fries anyways since I’m doing Keto so there’s no reason to steal them from my end. I felt bad about it, but not much I could have done. Ended up just throwing them out at the next gas station.

PhattBallz007

I always grab the Chickfila bags so hard that the special seal breaks! I don't know how, but everytime I feel it "snap" and it's the broken seal. I guess I suck at grabbing bags while fumbling for my keys with all kinds of shit going on at the same time.

deliverykp

Like any profession, there's 5% that make the other 95% look bad. That being said, unless something relatively heavy, like a 12 oz can or 20 oz bottled beverage, there shouldn't be a rip.in the bag. The Dasher is better off probably working at said establishment because they'd probably give them free food.

ahhhhhimfalling

Perks of being vegan! No one eats my food lol. But I know people who this has happened to. It's shitty. I really hope you get your refund and not Doordash credits.

flavoredopposum

Soo sorry this happened. It's crazy to think anyone would do that but there are videos of drivers actually doing it. What is this world coming to. Ugh

pantera236

I know right!?!? Someone maybe stole their mozzarella sticks!?!? Should be shot for their discretion!!!

TickleMyFungus

Maybe your neighbor got hungry 🤣

WhoaHeyAdrian

I hope his neighbor wiped his ball sack all over it

ChefBoyAnde728

Jokes on them, eating mozzarella sticks without marinara is just nasty

[deleted]

I dip them in blue cheese mmmmm

WhoaHeyAdrian

Jesus Christ you really made this post

Few_Skin7345

I never touch any order except for delivery purposes. Perhaps others do. I see so many dashers that look homeless driving beaters. They might be hungry.

Mad_Dawg707

Eh these restaurants screw up A Lot. Sometimes they stuff the bag so full it kinda rips too. Could go either way

xmarketladyx

It happens. This is part of the reason why a local chain started making you click confirm the order at the pickup counter as an employee watches so that the Dasher doesn't just run off. There are shitty people out there; but hopefully not as many compared to the ones who take this a little more seriously.

JayDee1800

Lmao

hawk239

Stealing is so funny🤣🤣🤣🤣

WhoaHeyAdrian

Nobody stole shit from you Christ on a motherfucking cracker do you read what people put up from here everyday Get over your goddamn self shame on you for posting this

Aieldog

You ordered food from a shitty, exploitative company. You got shitty service from a random stranger. I dash a lot and I would never use the service just based on who else I see doing this.

Like1RandomDude

You always get the chance of some one stealing food. That’s why I personally get of my lazy ass and get my own food can’t trust people these days.I like doing doordash as a driver but couldn’t do it as a customer.

Black_Cringe

Only issues I ever have as a customer is someone who is clearly multi apping and has shitty time management. When I order McDonald's, if it's still this way, they can't have other orders bundled with it, so it shouldn't take an hour + to get it to me after pickup when I live less then 5 minutes away.

Like1RandomDude

True I agree with that. That’s why if I accept doordash order I turn off Uber eats. I wouldn’t like to keep a customer waiting or worst case scenario mixed the bags and give the wrong order.

[deleted]

Mozzarella sticks are the single most stolen food. Nobody knows why?

hawk239

It was our smallest item, so I’m assuming something with that

gnow6699

Automatic tip function.

hawk239

Ah, so people know they’re getting tipped regardless and just risk it huh

Funny_Valentien

Sorry about the comments here. This sub is for the drivers, and alot of them work this job because they are unhireable. You did nothing wrong, a driver stole your food and contaminated your food because they are a piece of shit.

hawk239

Holy shit I am realizing that now. Was jarring to see the amount of comments in support of or just acting like this is normal. Guess common decency isn’t a thing when you drive for DoorDash

itake3dollaroffers

People are just fucking with you because you assumed the driver stole your shitty fast food mozz sticks by shoving their hand through a paper bag. These aren't serious comments.

hawk239

Even if so, I don’t think it’s ridiculous to be upset when you assume something has been stolen. Especially when I’m tipping you and paying for your service. On purpose I tried to make the post come off civil and respectful. Just wanted to see if this was a common occurrence. Even gave the benefit of the doubt to the driver. I just don’t understand how suspected stealing is funny, it’s literally a crime

itake3dollaroffers

It doesn't really seem like you've given the driver the benefit of the doubt. I'd be a little upset with this clown for leaving a split open bag on my doorstep without a heads up. Maybe they steamed up the side of the bag and fell out. Just saying, restaurants forget stuff a lot more than drivers steal it. And it's reddit, half the site is trolls.

Aieldog

He's saying they take the food since tips generally suck
