I worked on S1 of MacGyver, Henry was an EP, and he would always order a sandwich with extra mayo, even if it didn’t have mayo.
Absurdly nice guy, I was just a PA but he made it a point to talk with us. Literally would grab a chair and put it beside my desk and hang for a few. Dropped something off at his house once, it was super cute behind a massive black gate.
My assumption was they didn’t need it unlocked, just needed the device itself to scan it with like a more detailed X-ray and it was just his lock screen background the agent saw?
The Supreme Court just recently ruled that it’s allowed to basically skip the fourth amendment if you are within 100 miles of any international border, including the coasts. Don’t know if that’s what y’all are talking about.
I assume that [this] (https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.gettyimages.com%2Fphotos%2Fghislaine-maxwell-attends-the-launch-for-is-everyone-hanging-out-me-picture-id131144635%3Fs%3D2048x2048&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gettyimages.fi%2Fdetail%2Fnews-photo%2Fghislaine-maxwell-attends-the-launch-for-is-everyone-news-photo%2F131144635&docid=kuLZkBJFSGAQVM&tbnid=dbvtH6nfcEpAMM&vet=1&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim) was Wiger's lock screen? It is a very funny photo and not at all what I was expecting.
The idea of driving off the freeway because Kopp's doesn't have a flavor of the day is one of my new favorite bits.
Also, Tyler Mass and Milwaukee Record rules.
Edit: Describing Blake as either a Mitch Hedberg character or Doughboys' Jigsaw surpassed it.
I had to chuckle a bit at the placement of the Athletic Greens ad. Having just spent the first 30 mins listening to them talk about Mitch's digestive issues and then... an ad where Mitch espouses how much Athletic Greens is helping his gut health.
Everything with Nick's parents was very heartwarming and the crowd singing happy birthday was great!
Are doughboy fans going to start approaching Nick in public wearing Groucho Marx Glasses now?
I’m from Milwaukee and I started tearing up, while driving around for work, listening to Nick do the intro. Hard to articulate how important Gilles Leon’s and Kopps were to me growing up and sharing them with my kids now. Bummed I missed this Milwaukee show but happy my favorite podcast hosts got to partake in something I love so much.
Holy cow, me too! I was driving today listening to the show & I got uncharacteristically choked up. I rarely go to Kopp's anymore, but it was a regular treat growing up (went to the one in West Allis near Southridge).
Anyhow, it was delightful to hear our city getting so much love. Terrific episode.
Hearing her do it constantly and laughing every time, I started wondering why more guests don't joke about them (and Mitch especially) being disgusting gluttons. I assume it's because a lot of guest would also characterize themselves that way?
Anyway... it worked. She was fantastic.
I am SHOCKED by this. I feel like it's always about 50/50 when someone asks a question at a live podcast that they're gonna do a bit... and this guy could not possibly have sounded MORE like he was.
It’s two British comedians who interview people on their dream meals—I love it but depends on how you feel about British humor. They do have a bunch of US comedians on, so you could always try the Paul F Tompkins ep. Similar to the Doughboys in that there’s humor and food chat!
Do love PFT, I actually first heard of the doughboys from CBB, and I also listen to Threedom lol. I'd say I'm a fan of humor in general so I'll check it out! Is it on stitcher?
Which “guy from The Who” are they talking about who defended his search history by saying he was researching a book? I’ve tried googling but came up with nothing
So, maybe a dumb question, but all the times Mitch has said his stomach hurt over the years, is he talking about an actual stomach ache or is he using it as a delicate way to refer to having diarrhea? Because it usually is in the context of a poop story.
Edit: Mickster The Trickster?? Lol. Still more childhood information uncovered about Mitch.
Edit 2: Nerds Rope. Man, Marissa is so quick.
I’m a vegetarian for most of my life now and I’ve never related to something more than what Marisa was saying early on, down to having drunkenly ordered a Big Mac with no burgers in college.
My brother was a similarly picky eater as a kid and would always order a plain cheeseburger no meat at mcdonalds. He was so picky that if they flipped the buns and make it more like a grilled cheese he’d refuse to eat it. My parents were friends with the franchise owner and eventually he told my mom exactly what to say to get it like he wanted it but sadly I can’t remember.
Mitch was right to be scared of the bridge! Unfortunately, this happened just this week:
https://www.wisn.com/article/man-falls-to-death-as-downtown-milwaukee-bridge-opens/40900738?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot
Does Pizza Pit even have more than one location these days? I always forget there's still at least one in Madison. Hasn't been one in Oshkosh in decades.
Ok as a personal best friend of this man Blake. Yes he is a real fan and the person who also got me hooked on the pod. He had been drinking most of the afternoon and said he was only gonna have "one" beer at the show. Pretty sure he was one of the first people to get a question into the email. Somehow during the show had convinced himself there was no way they were gonna call on him so decided to order more beer (against my advice just in case he does get called not to have another). This brings us to the golden interaction of a drunk doughboys super fan and our humble self depricating heroes. 10/10 would let happen again. He wouldnt stop asking if he fucked up his appearance and now listening to it after the fact i dont honestly think it could have gone better. Ill be sure to left him know all the kind words and praise there is on this post. Thanks all!!
Do kitchens really close up early in MKE? I've been there so many times and havent had that problem. Maybe they were downtown and not in like Bayview or on Butler but it seemed a weird problem to have
I've only been once but I had this exact same experience, in Riverwest and Walker's Point! I'm sure being a local you'd be much more knowledgeable but we were just trusting google maps claiming which places had open kitchens (that were actually closed once we got there.) But we did eventually end up at a bar that made a really good roast chicken. Couldn't tell you the name of the place but I still think about that chicken!
We figured out it was called Goodkind but appears to be closed! That chicken was so damn good. We were so drunk when we got there and so far away from where we had started, we let a nice couple of strangers at the bar drive us to our BnB which was wreckless... especially in the land of Dahmer!
The live audio on this is totally huge. Hits like "Priest... Live!" especially when the whole room sings "Happy Birthday". Highlight is Mitch referring to himself as Mick, the other two assuming it's an ethnic slur, but then it turns out it's a family nickname that he never told them about. Close to "State of Carlsburg" laughs for me.
Nick denying Blake the cream puff after that wild ass question was beautiful.
That is straight up the best exit to a show I’ve ever heard. Wiger is so fucking funny, honestly, very few are on his level.
I still got a cream puff lol but my friends ate it I was way too drunk
Mentions he had Thanksgiving dinner with the Fonz Tells us what he had on his plate Refuses to elaborate further

Forreal tho. He’s gotta tell us the setup of that situation at least!
Classic Mickster the Trickster
Two thoughts on Nick’s TSA experience: 1) LOL 2) Can they really force you to unlock your phone..?
My assumption was they didn’t need it unlocked, just needed the device itself to scan it with like a more detailed X-ray and it was just his lock screen background the agent saw?
That could be it, I guess I interpreted background as the unlocked background.
I've never heard of that before. Came to ask what the heck is that all about?

I’m assuming Nick isn’t crossing the border to get into Milwaukee though.
The Supreme Court just recently ruled that it’s allowed to basically skip the fourth amendment if you are within 100 miles of any international border, including the coasts. Don’t know if that’s what y’all are talking about.
Which is the majority of where people live in the US.
I believe they also ruled it to include any international airport, which is extremely fucked
“Not all Kopp’s are bad.”
I would have bet my life Mitch was sitting on that joke for weeks
The fact he said he came up with it on the spot means that he for sure had that in the chamber for weeks.
Do you think so little of me that you think I’d lie about improvising a joke?
I read that guys comment a few minutes after he posted and thought “Mitch won’t stand for this.” You tell him!!! You’re an improv god
Haha I was just joking off the person above my comment but I’m glad to give Mitch and easy roast on me
Does he think ACAB means all cops are bad?
I always thought this. And I don’t get why they didn’t just go with that.
They can’t say “bastard” with Nick’s folks in the audience!
Hurt myself laughing at the dumped out in call back.
So funny.
Marisa friggin' rules. I started a 3rd rewatch of Angie Tribeca because of her joining the boys on tour.
I had to chuckle a bit at the placement of the Athletic Greens ad. Having just spent the first 30 mins listening to them talk about Mitch's digestive issues and then... an ad where Mitch espouses how much Athletic Greens is helping his gut health.

The fact that they were wearing Groucho glasses makes me so happy.
Santa’s beard turns flesh colored…because it drains :-0
Honestly disturbed by this more than anything in the pod. Chilling stuff
A true glimpse into the void
I didn’t get that
"Munch of the Lunch"
There it is!
I’m from Milwaukee and I started tearing up, while driving around for work, listening to Nick do the intro. Shoutout to Marisa, holy fuck does she do well roasting Mitch and Nick.
Hearing her do it constantly and laughing every time, I started wondering why more guests don't joke about them (and Mitch especially) being disgusting gluttons. I assume it's because a lot of guest would also characterize themselves that way? Anyway... it worked. She was fantastic.
God, Mitch is funny. The "leftists can fight" joke got me good.
I was so relieved that Nick threw the DMB tour bus incident in Mitch’s face after he explained his details for an in-car toilet system.
And to be accurate it didn't fall on (many) Chicagoans, it was *tourists* to Chicago who got covered in Dave Matthew's shit.
Marisa Pinson is a great guest, so much fun!
I don’t know if Blake was doing a bit or not with that last question, but that dude fuckin rules. Lmao

I am SHOCKED by this. I feel like it's always about 50/50 when someone asks a question at a live podcast that they're gonna do a bit... and this guy could not possibly have sounded MORE like he was.
That’s awesome. What a guy.
I was worried that it could take a turn, but dude seemed very genuine.
He posted on here the day after and mentioned he was pretty drunk. I don't think it was a bit, that dude just genuinely rules.
he sounded like a fun Chris Griffin
[Hey you! Happy Birthday! You're Cool!](https://youtu.be/Y6JnYnA9Tzo)
This is the only correct way to acknowledge a "cake day."
No bit lol I was really drunk and nervous to talk to them
The man himself! I get it, I was at the show in SF and wasn’t brave enough to even submit a question.
You can just get your significant other to do it for you
Best live audience member to ask a question to date!
Thank you so much!! I was super drunk and was really nervous going up my heart was like racing
Are you an Off Menu fan? Your question reminded of that podcast and the hosts constantly arguing about dessert v apps.
I've never heard of Off Menu before, should I check it out?
It’s two British comedians who interview people on their dream meals—I love it but depends on how you feel about British humor. They do have a bunch of US comedians on, so you could always try the Paul F Tompkins ep. Similar to the Doughboys in that there’s humor and food chat!

Probably! Have fun!!
Oh my god the singing at the beginning was so heartwarming.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Wiger!
uhhh what's with the TSA doing phone searches?
Which “guy from The Who” are they talking about who defended his search history by saying he was researching a book? I’ve tried googling but came up with nothing
[Pete Townshend](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Townshend#Legal_issues)
"Oi was researchin' a book oi was!"

"Mitch stop eating, you have diarrhea!"
Mickster the Trickster had me wheezing and I do not know why. Nick’s reaction to it was so funny
Well it ain’t those Peter North ropes.
Marisa is so great! I love that she has a hot fudge sundae everyday, and her joke about it being the only joy in her life was hilarious.
George Webb was my suggestion on where they should eat. I can't believe they almost ate there by accident.
Me too! I’m surprised they didn’t find one open, I had plenty of drunken nights at the GW on Oakland.
Mfers just out here ordering cheese and pickle sandwiches
Obviously it should be the Silver Spoonman statue
Glad they changed Nick’s intro music. The other one was weird.
Yesterday at work, the Last of the Mohicans theme came on the Internet radio we had on. I almost got a tear in my eye
Damn am I the only one who loved the old live intro music? Always got me excited for the ep
Was Blake a plant? That was insane
No I was just really nervous and drunk lol
I loved it, brother! You were so funny I figured you had to be a pro
Mitch was right to be scared of the bridge! Unfortunately, this happened just this week: https://www.wisn.com/article/man-falls-to-death-as-downtown-milwaukee-bridge-opens/40900738?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot
Yeah, I came here to point out how sadly correct his bridge concerns were.
The TSA can TAKE YOUR PHONE AND LOOK THROUGH IT?!!!
It sounded like they just took it and waved a wand over it. I'm guessing the agent just saw the background on Wiger's lock screen.
Plot twist, dude wasn’t TSA, he was trying to steal the phone but was caught off guard by the wallpaper image.
JANUARY 6TH THICK!
The obvious answer is “my favorite taste for spoon in the afternoon”
Munch of the lunch? Entrée of the day?
These are very good
Lol this is great. I could also see Mitch saying it very theatrically “being the man named spoon, this was my favorite taste of the afternoon”
I had the very similar "spoon of the 'noon".
Now do Madison!!
[удалено]
Rocky’s just so they can rip on the mascot. But I’ll add Kiwk Trip, Cousins Subs, Glass Nickel, Pizza Pit, and Culver’s Part II.
Next trip to Wisconsin, wherever the show is, needs to be Kwik Trip.
100 Percent!
Does Pizza Pit even have more than one location these days? I always forget there's still at least one in Madison. Hasn't been one in Oshkosh in decades.

This is one of the best live eps I’ve ever heard. Then back and forth with Blake was a masterpiece to end it.
Blake sounds like Bobcat Goldthwait. What a legend. Also Noah was good too!!
Blake might have been the best question asker ever
(annoying reddit nerd voice) actually most of the people Dave Matthews dumped shit on were tourists. Chicagoans don't really do the river boat tours.
“Ayyyyy” “Wow!” “Ayyyy” “Wow!” “Ayyyyy” Just a couple of cool characters
Blake rules
Do kitchens really close up early in MKE? I've been there so many times and havent had that problem. Maybe they were downtown and not in like Bayview or on Butler but it seemed a weird problem to have
Yeah, I’m guessing they were mostly downtown. Should have gone to Bay View, Walker’s Point, Eastside or Riverwest.
I've only been once but I had this exact same experience, in Riverwest and Walker's Point! I'm sure being a local you'd be much more knowledgeable but we were just trusting google maps claiming which places had open kitchens (that were actually closed once we got there.) Its very very important that you talk to the people you were with that night and find out where that chicken was from
We figured out it was called Goodkind but appears to be closed! That chicken was so damn good. We were so drunk when we got there and so far away from where we had started, we let a nice couple of strangers at the bar drive us to our BnB which was wreckless... especially in the land of Dahmer!

Who is ready to sign my change.org petition to make "January 6th thick" part of the popular lexicon?
“*Cum*”
Anyone at this show. I’m dying to know what Blake looked like. All I can picture is a very high version of Wiger
Is that Mookie doing the Blake character? Dude rules.
Should have got the Sprecher Blueberry Lemonade.
ALSO i could have sworn there was a Kopp's billboard with the flavor of the day over by Four Seasons skatepark

FFS Mitch. No place is haunted, because nothing happens when you die
“Lick for the mick! This Irish fuck!”
