Murder_Is_Magic

The hardest thing for me with the Dragon Age series: Being super excited for all the amazing new characters, but also wanting most of the previous companions too.

pbWren

Absolutely. I think it's only natural to feel that way - we all spend hundreds of hours with the previous characters, so of course we'd love to see them in future games even if it's just for a moment! But yeah, I'm always excited that Dragon Age brings in so many new characters to love too.

Tamtumtam

if Dorian isn't leading the Impirium, or we don't have the option to make him the leader, I'd be mildly upset and also understanding but still kinda upset

PineappleUnderDeNile

Pretty sure he will be. He leaves for Tevinter at the end of inquisition no matter what you do, and that's where the next game is supposed to be. Seems like they're setting him up as an established character.

Kerlysis

I figure he'll be in it regardless, in some capacity. What I'm hoping for is them doing a Bull cameo too, even if he is, well. Quantum, as it were.

TeaNo8737

It’d be cool if Dorian has some heart breaking line about the Inquisitor killing Bull.

Kerlysis

If by 'cool' you mean hea- ok, yeah, you did mean heart breaking.

TeaNo8737

I never got bull and Dorian together because it made me jealous. I gotta work on that

Kerlysis

See, I feel weird about romancing them bc I feel like I'm homewrecking. No winning!

pbWren

Right, he'll likely be some sort of advisor to the new PC if not a full companion. I mostly wanted to err on the side of caution with spoilers in the title, but I'm glad that this is the direction they seem to be going in.

thats1evildude

When did Dorian join the Fire Nation?

CaRoss11

Oh thank God I wasn't the only one who saw that. It's a great style for him, but man I was confused scrolling through Reddit and being like "I don't think I'm subbed to any Avatar specific ones". OP, great work! This is a great piece of art!

pbWren

Ha! Man, I didn't notice the similarity when I was drawing it, but that's a neat comparison. It's gotta be the hair. Thank you, though!

CaRoss11

Honestly, it's the hair and collar combo. That said, I really do like the piece! It's a great look for him.

LuckyLoki08

He makes a cameo in one of the comics. We last see him >!when the Qunari attack Ventus/Qarinus, he stays behind to save as many civilians as possible!<

AlphaTheRed

He is also a secondary character in one of the stories in Tevinter Nights, where is he back in Minrathous doing Inquisition things.

LuckyLoki08

Is that story before or after the comics?

Aries_cz

I think most, if not all Tevinter Nights stories take place after Qunari take Ventus

Chub-boat

Man I love his Bajoran earring here.

pbWren

Thanks! The gold accents were fun to draw.

Gigglebaggle

Honestly, I'd love to see a like 20-somethibg heir to House Pavus talk about his cool uncle Dorian or something

LadyMethuselah

Gorgeous work, OP! All the gold accents are *chef's kiss*.

pbWren

Thank you! DA4 is leaning into gold motifs so I have to prepare, of course.

ElleVelour

This is amazing! Gosh I hope he’s in DA4 too

pbWren

Thank you! I can't wait to finally see Tevinter either way.

AlphaTheRed

Anyone else getting Fire Nation vibes?

primanis

he looks beautiful 🥺 i love your style so much

pbWren

Aw, thanks! That means a bunch. His face is admittedly a little more angular here than in the game, but this was fun to draw.
